I love how even though Jenny and Dan were Rufus' kids and Serena and Eric were Lily's, they each still parented each other's kids without truly stepping over that boundary line. They were parents to each other's kids when they needed to be and each of their own kids felt comfortable enough to go to either parent with their problems. I loved this pairing so much, which is why it pissed me off when the writers decided to have Rufus and Lily split up so that Dan and Serena could end up together. In my opinion Dan should have ended up with anybody else while Serena ended up with nobody, because she truly needed a break from boys/men for a little while.
That’s so true she was such a mess when she kept going back and forth with relationships between Dan and Nate it ruined her friendship with Blair and Dan broke up with her because she lied to him about her cheating on him instead of just being honest and saying her life was in danger
Honestly, I never understood why Jenny could not, based on her status, put Eric in the position of "best elite friend", the same thing was done by Blair and Serena. Only she had access to the whole life of "Queen Blair", and the rest of the girls were just a retinue, which only increased the inaccessibility of Blair's position. Eric is from a super rich family, he has a great position; he should be in a privileged position one way or another.
Wtf are you talking about? Serena never overstepped Blair rules when they were friends. If they fight at one point, one would take the lead at school, making everyone turn against the other. You can't be the leader if you can't make people follow your rules, even if it is ur half brother. Also, Eric was from the Upper East Side, super rich and gay, but all that could never make him equal to Jenny - there is only one it girl
@gabrielcarvalho6085 I think what bothered me in this situation, and I say this as a Massive Jenny fan is the fact that the minions were treating Eric like he was a pariah, but I mean Jenny's connection to the Van der woodsens was her way to keep the crown at various point and Eric is Chuck step brother, Carmen couldn't just ask why was Eric there when Hes even more connected than Jenny herself to the elite.
Listen, in a circle where everyone has money, it’s a equal field, so you can’t just have money to have some kind of power. Yes, Eric is rich, from a known family, but he was not well connected. He was not friends with almost anyone, he was not in the social circle, meeting people, making friends, going out or doing stuff. So people didn’t really cared about him. Also this was the late 2000’s. Eric was gay, so that means that he was not desired by girls and the guys didn’t hang out with him as much. He could never have the influence and power that Jenny had - every guy wanted her and every girl wanted to have her life.
Everyone is coping, but book eric was also disconnected (older) yet super cool. Series just didnt care for eric and used him as an instrument for jenny
@@gabrielcarvalho6085blair always knew serena was way more popular and had better connections than her even when they were friends lol serena just didnt care for high school popularity things Blair didnt rule serena either
Honestly they were both in the wrong. Jenny hadn’t done anything to Eric but he still decided to “rebel” and put her in a position that was threatening to her popularity. He and Jonathan basically tried forcing her to choose between her status or them in hopes she’d throw it away for them 😭. The way Jenny acted however was worse. She had no need to retaliate in such a foul and humiliating manner. She could’ve addressed it in any other way and this was so disloyal of her. Either way I think they were both shitty in this situation but technically Eric and Jonathan started it
Yeah but also what did he actually do wrong? The hierarchy and the rules are insane and she’s playing into it and acting like she’s better than him and everyone else. Eric didn’t actually do anything to her imo
@@naataliesb Exactly. Jenny needed a reality check. She was letting power and this whole "queen bee" thing go to her head. She swore up and down that she wouldn't change and that her behaviour was purely for show but it ended up becoming exactly who she was. Jenny became a person that Eric didn't recognize which is sad because he always defended her up and down to ppl. Not to mention when Chuck took her virginity, he made it seem like Chuck took advantage of Jenny which isn't what happened.

I love Rufus and Lilys relationship!!!
sone of you get mad at jenny with this one when blair wont even gave anyone a warning but a direct humiliation from disobeying her from her own ground

tell that Blair
they were both in the wrong.
Evil Jenny was such a dumb plot
I feel bad for both Eric and Jenny
Like what kind of meth was she dealing that has everyone agreeing that nobody is allowed to sit above her on the steps ffs
She’s just trying to maintain her popularity as the queen
It's devastating to see someone using dark eye liner in a psychosis

it was justified lol. she wouldve been bullied herself had she not

what is up with rufus's hair
She had every right cuz she’s Queen. And Eric knew she had to play the game to stay Queen. So Eric I’m sorry but u deserved it.
Eric should not have sit above the steps to "test" jenny! He knew what she had to do to change "the queen" system! Not sure why Eric did that!!!
