variety is the spice of life, I have a collection of similar items including the seasonings that come in the rations I review on my channel, I have a dry bag that is my camping food bag that is always loaded with seasonings, drink powders and a brew kit and oatmeal packets. I reload it when I use some out of it
I have a few buckets of long term storage meals, but mostly I have stocked individual ingredients - corn, peas, green bean, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, celery, carrots, potatoes, pasta, mushrooms, mac n cheese, chicken, beef, sausage, lentils, dry beans, corn meal, wheat berries, bean burger mix, etc. I do love the Chicken Creations pkts as well as the tuna and salmon. I also do enjoy chicken flavored ramen. Something I do need is those individual pkts of condiments. With some mylar and oxygen absorbers you could repackage those Valley Meals into smaller portions. I do love the Mountain House chicken and dumplings, spaghetti, and Lazagna. I haven't yet tried their other meals yet. Dicks Sporting Goods delivered them free.
Yum. I use a lot of that stuff as trail food. I add peanut butter to the Chili Ramen to add calories and really taste good. That SPAM single is precooked, so I smash it with a spoon, add chopped onion & mayo and create SPAM salad sandwich. I divide the Idahoan mash potatoes in half, then put that pulled pork on it and let the steam heat up the pork; BBQ pork on mash is great. If you add 1/2 packet Pioneer Country Gravy to broken up Ramen (without seasoning packet); it taste similar to Biscuits & Gravy. Don't forget Pecans or Walnuts which are mostly protein & fat & high in fiber.
Thanks 🙏. This video gave me some great new ideas, Especially the Mexican preseasoned meat, But it was some cheese on some carb balance tortillas & keto on the trail !!! Keep up the great work
MREs are good eats though, beats most army chow halls. And its comes with lots of goodies and a long shelf life. Liquid IV is really high in sugar and lower in actual electrolytes, better than Gatorade but there are better options out there. Great vid!
Great video upload. I like your mancave. It looks alot like my spare room. The totes, the easy shelf system (I have 3 of them), love the Rubbermaid totes. Very informative upload 👍. Thanks for sharing ! ...Alan in 🇨🇱
For the price of those buckets you can buy a lot of those things you showed and then some and make several buckets. They put a big price on those buckets.
All great survival food options. Its helpfull to have a selection so you dont get food worn out. Thanks for the great content The Prepared Wander!!

Another good informative video. I'd like to know how and where you pack your food for camping.
