Same here. I was jumping in the trampoline and opened up my legs and landed in the splits, i wasn't able to stand up for 5 mins and my legs did hurt 2 weeks after it but now i can do the splits (even without stretching)
Good for you I almost have my right splits working on left and not very close on center splits I take dance and I need to have all my splits to move up to the higher levels yay
dont leave it for too long keep trying put a pillow under you and do the splits and stretch on it. you have more bones while your younger. if your not an adult yet
Keep your legs straight, and stay in the splits for 3?? Minutes or more than a minute everyday. And stretch everyday even if its only for 10 or 15 minutes. Or maybe try to do the oversplits but be careful and push yourself but not too much! I don't have my splits yet but this helps me go a little farther down everyday
This is possible in a day. (1). Have a 9 hours of sleep the previous night. (2) Drink one bottle of plain water empty stomach immediately after one wakes up. (3) Have a light Carb breakfast (4) One hour of warm up. (Avoid static stretching in the morning as it prone to injury). (5) Spend another half an hour of various lunge stretches. And then get into serious stretching. You would be into complete splits or close to full spilts. Thereafter, immediately drink Sweet lime or any Vitamin C drink and close for the day. You will feel the soreness in hamstrings in the evening. DO NOT stretch again. Press the hamstring muscles and give a light massage. Next day no stretching. A day after follow the same regime. Post 10 days you would start easily sliding into full splits without much effort or pain.
feriel fray The warmup prolly doesnt have to be that long; 5-10 minutes should suffice. Hard stretching every other day and massage, as he mentions, I'd give two thumbs up. And of course, the hydration and vitamin C is a definite go! 9 hours of sleep the night AFTER hard stretching session should be stressed; and if you're stretching hard every other day, then a good amount of sleep (about 7-9) is warranted for faster recovery of the microdamage suffered by the stretched muscles. You'll get a split that way, but the rate of split-attainment is dependent upon your current level of flexibility and STRENGTH
When I was like 6 I went to this restaurant and they were almost closed so they were cleaning the floor with like soap and water and I slipped and I did a full split and I cried not because I was hurt because I was so embarrassed 😂
This is exactly what I needed to see. I've been working on regaining my flexibility over the last few months (I became sedentary after having kids) but I've reached a plateau and it's at least nice to see someone able to push past that.
Guys. Please be very cautious if yoy attempt this. Also. If you are not at all flexible please don't try this. You could easily damage muscles and joints. Please be careful.

Update: the above comment was April 2020 beginning of quarantine. I went really strong stretching for about a solid month. Then I just stopped in May 2020 because at the time I felt that stretching took up too much time which is a stupid excuse. So I stopped all static stretching since. Since then I’ve been lifting heavier and getting bigger. I was around 160lbs in May 2020. Now it is October 2021, so like a year and a half later. I am almost 200lbs now in the morning naturally, majority muscle, I’m around 15% body fat give or take maybe a bit higher pushing 16%. I am lifting way more than I did too since May 2020. I have been getting little injuries lately, not severe to set me back, but cause a little discomfort in day to day life. I was contemplating, but finally I gave in and said I have to start stretching again. The heavier I lift, the more at risk I’m placing myself for injury and the heavier and bigger I am, all the more harder it will be. Back in May 2020, I was the most flexible I have ever been all my life. I could do standing and sitting sit and reaches all the way my face to knees. I could not do the splits middle nor front and back, but I was closer than I’ve ever been. I stretch after workouts of course when I’m warm just for like 15-20 min. I’ve been stretching for a few weeks now and I’ve regained a lot of my former flexibility back (tendon memory? 😂 probably not). At first, I was shocked by how much flexibility I lost. Especially in my groin area which is a very vulnerable spot for me. But now I can do stretches with ease now and every time I stretch I get closer and closer to where I was a year and a half ago. I will continue to stretch because end of December, I go for new ORM PRs on everything, so of course I need to be the most flexible by then. Reduce injury, improve mobility, all that. Never give up and thank you if you read this whole thing :) have a great day!
honestly, if you can... I recomend you to start doing some stretches. i have been exercising (mainly lifting, calisthenics, and running) for about 3 years, and one day all of the sudden I was starting to feel really weak in my legs, a lot of shaking in certain postures, my shoulders was shaking a lot if I wasn't in a comfy posture, and even my hips was hurting. One day I decided to seek for medical advice, and my doctor recommended me an amazing therapist, guess what? Yeah, was because my flexibility was complete garbage, even my toes was in a bad position because my hip flexors can't achieve full range of motion. 1 year later I'm still in the long run, but all of those problems disappeared and I can pretty much live without shakiness and with a decent amount of flexibility. maybe this sounds stupid but, getting a nice flexibility can help you a lot, not only in your general life, but if you lift weight, or simply like to train, you will feel beneficiated from this
its actually best to stretch while your muscles are warm. so maybe instead of in between your sets just do it after your full workout if youre worried about getting too relaxed while youre stretching. also i noticed while you were doing the frog stretch you were leaning forward a lot and thats a common mistake and its really easy to do that by accident. another tip (this one hurts just a fyi) is to sit in your straddle and get some pillows to lean forward on. while youre doing so you should rotate your hips back aka stick your butt out -this stretch is to basically tell your muscles what theyre supposed to be doing. because when it comes to stretching your middle splits most people hit a plateau where the slide into it and just cant go any further. this is because your muscles dont know what else to do. so by rotating your hips back your hips get the muscle memory of where theyre supposed to be without straining the rest of your legs. sorry i know thats a lot to read for those who actually read all the way through this. but thats just some tips to help people who are stretching and trying to achieve their splits
The PF stretching is legit. I haven't stretched out my inner hip area in years. I used to do the butterfly seated split or whatever the name is and could touch my knees to the ground. However 10 min of PF stretching and I am back where I used to be. Im going to do this daily to see if I can also do a full split. Thank you for posting.
It’s really not safe to be stretching your splits that far in such a short amount of time or it can make your muscles tear a lot easier so be careful! The best way to get your splits is to work on them overtime. Make sure your being really gentle on muscles.
Pigmie, I just wanted to say thank you for mentioning PNF stretching because I just took a human motor control behavior class in college as an upper level kinesiology course and literally PNF was the last thing we learned 🤣 as soon as I saw it, I immediately thought of this video and knew right away what it was. So thank you!
You don't really need to Strech,U just need To Be in a middle split postion,U just need to maintain ur max middle split and Just go lower everytime u feel that u can sustain ur max
Hi guys, I’m an adult male that has been wanting to get the middle splits for a long time. I’ve attempted to do so multiple times over the years but somehow give up or have the excuse of being too busy. This time, I’ve been stretching religiously for the past 3 weeks and have uploaded my the starting state of my middle splits on my channel. To keep myself accountable, I’m announcing a bold statement that I WILL upload a video of my FULL MIDDLE SPLIT on the 31st of January, 2019.
As a child I was in gymnastics class and we were doing the splits. I didn’t know what it meant, but I just copied my fellow gymnastics, spreading my legs a bit. One day a student actually got it right and at that moment I understood what a split was. I gave it a try and I went straight into a middle split, and both front splits... aaah those were the days. Now I’m trying to get my long lost skill back, but it’s not as easy anymore 😢 anyways, enjoyed your video 😊
It’s good to know that you have a fitness background so you know not to push yourself too much. I’m a dancer, and I have overstretched at times and it can be very dangerous and almost unproductive because it can push you back if you injure yourself.
Woah I never heard of PNF but have been stretching my legs every day trying to get the front and side splits. I found as I get comfortable (well, more comfortable at least) that I can safely flex my leg muscles. I've kept doing it because whatever I'm doing is not getting me to the splits, so as I do this PNF every day with my stretches, I'm getting so much closer! I dropped my front splits about 5 inches and my middle (which was already fairly good) about another inch or two.
when i was flexible i was flexible in my spine, i was so scared of doing anything relating to my legs. 2yrs later (now) i remember how fun it was to learn a new skill so i’m starting my new flexibility journey but with no fear :D
watching this kinda pisses me off because impressionable people are going to actually think its possible to go from having little flexibility to full splits in a day they will either get discouraged or injured.
I did 1 today.
I was taking the garbage out and slide on some ice.

*Unexpectedly reminded of something he enjoys the most*
Hi guys, I’m an adult male that has been wanting to get the middle splits for a long time.
Yess!!! Im 16 and can do all splits and 8 inches oversplits
Kevan Christian thats awesome man! Any videos?
As a child I was in gymnastics class and we were doing the splits. I didn’t know what it meant, but I just copied my fellow gymnastics, spreading my legs a bit. One day a student actually got it right and at that moment I understood what a split was. I gave it a try and I went straight into a middle split, and both front splits... aaah those were the days. Now I’m trying to get my long lost skill back, but it’s not as easy anymore 😢 anyways, enjoyed your video 😊
Hey ARMY... I'm trying to do the splits too. Wanna be mutuals and learn together
EXOxaus I actually succeeded in doing the splits after about a month... but good luck, you can do it too💪🏻
@@adrianameyer1848 well done and congrats... 💞💓
Straight as a ruler🔥💯
I did the split just one time in my life:
There was literally water spilt on the floor! I slipped and it made do the full split it didn't even hurt😋
Wow your good! I just did a split yesterday after a LOT of stretching!
now this... is the definition of *hard work*
“But you gotta focus” as his camera goes out of focus lol
Just A Quick Note Bro... You're Not Suppose To Get Up Too Fast After Every Touchdown Attempt 👍
It’s good to know that you have a fitness background so you know not to push yourself too much. I’m a dancer, and I have overstretched at times and it can be very dangerous and almost unproductive because it can push you back if you injure yourself.
This man is awesome 😅😅😅 really love all your vedios👌🏼👌🏻
Me :on my period
Also me:I am a ballerina I can't just know the front splits I HAVE to now the middle ones too.
Good lord bro I did not expect to see all those sweet flips and 540 kicks!! I totally forgot why I looked up how long it takes to do a split.👍
This is so wrong on every level but I'm still doing it...
the thumbnail is two different splits. the before is middle splits and the after is right leg splits 🤔😂
__ itz.missy __ no it’s not
@@eden7520 yes it is
Nice
__ itz.missy __ hi darling
You did it, Proud of you!
So like... How did you feel the next day? ☠️
This can't be done in 1 day - Just saying...
Christian Bisgaard bro everything is possible but you gotta focus 😎😎😎
Christian Bisgaard he was already quite flexible. Ofc it isnt but he had a good starting point
Jimmys C. S. W. Yea if your as flexible as Lucas there is a chance that you could do it in a day... But I wouldn't even be close😂😂
Christian Bisgaard he can
Christian Bisgaard exactly
Woah I never heard of PNF but have been stretching my legs every day trying to get the front and side splits. I found as I get comfortable (well, more comfortable at least) that I can safely flex my leg muscles. I've kept doing it because whatever I'm doing is not getting me to the splits, so as I do this PNF every day with my stretches, I'm getting so much closer! I dropped my front splits about 5 inches and my middle (which was already fairly good) about another inch or two.
I can't even touch my toes...
Daniel Morgen me 2 😕😕
I touch my knees thinking are my toes :-(
Oml.. same tho..
Can't even see my toes
Daniel Morgen
I am 48 years old, I can easily touch my toes and ankles and heels 😬
Me: Tries Full split
Later Me: Do it only 135°
Also Me: Close enough
i can't believe this is the only technique that worked for me.... I achieved my split in 2 days. Thank you so muchhh
I’ve been trying 4 times then my final I just done ✅ the split

Boys when it's 3AM
WTF
🤣😂u r experienced
when i was flexible i was flexible in my spine, i was so scared of doing anything relating to my legs. 2yrs later (now) i remember how fun it was to learn a new skill so i’m starting my new flexibility journey but with no fear :D
All of the female gymnasts that can drop into the splits with no stretching required are CRINGEING 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!!
Keira Streams lol they had to do this too
They all had to stretch and train
watching this kinda pisses me off because impressionable people are going to actually think its possible to go from having little flexibility to full splits in a day they will either get discouraged or injured.
I can do that with my middle split and even though I don’t stretch it a lot I used to and it HuRTttt
lol, It takes me a few seconds to go into my splits but I still cringed lmao
