Yes and no, I am from 1946, Denmark (EU) and it makes a lot of sense to me.
Radial engines ... if they don't leak oil they are out of oil.. ha ha.
And old British motorbikes!!!
Figured out how to keep my 985 from leaking oil leave the oil setting on the wing in the jug, my agcat only has 12000 hrs and it came from Louisiana

This I think will be a very interesting season with both the future project/adventure for DTD and the major restoration/rebuild project that is the Fokker DR.1 replica. I look forward to the next episode, especially Chuck's reaction when he see's the flat pack Fokker.

I am in love with DC-3’s ever since I was 6 when transported in one after the war from Semarang to Batavia (now Djakarta) in 1945 in a military version with seats alongside the fuselage and cargo stacked in the centre.
Good luck with the restoration. I'm eager to see it when it's restored

Hey Mikey, LOVE YOUR DC3 of course! Been catching up on your shows, this is nice to see no snow and ice...LOL...Living in Michigan hearing you say..." it's - 33 F outside " would make annnyone living here hide deep inside their homes!! LOL Here is some interesting history for you and your dad. I live in Roseville, Michigan...it is a direct suburb of Detroit. Eastgate shopping center was MICHIGAN'S FIRST COMMERCIAL AIRPORT......sadly it's a shopping plaza now.......there are some photos anyone can look up online, but Roseville was TERRIBLE with their record keeping and history, my house was built in 1930 and even I cannot get annnnything from it ! No photos...nothing ! They really removed alot of character in this town, only some old buildings remain. The city loves to collect our taxes but does extremely little for the town! I hope to see you guys fly here, Selfridge AFB is close to my house.....we get presidents landing here....so it might be worth it? : ) I know for a fact, Clinton, Bush JR and Biden landed there! : )

I sure would like to hop in the truck and pop down to Red Deer to see DTD take to the air once again. I was not able to drive to Montreal to lend a hand with the project, but YQF is close by. So, Pretty Please?
I love watching your dad in the left seat, landing or taking off. It took quite a few hours to make it look that smooth and easy. Always a pleasure!
Now, an honest-to-goodness WWI rotary engine? Should we all get busy roughing out parts, or do you have a _cunning_ _plan_ ? Hope I'll be available to do more than watch via TH-cam on Project Red Baron. Flying by March? This will be interesting!

Hi, followed DTD from the beginning and look forward to the latest adventure.
I had a tip truck the same as that fuel tanker, back in the 70s. Mine was fitted with F700 running gear with spider wheels instead of disc wheels. I used to put in logging tracks in the highlands of Tasmania. Cheers from Mike in Adelaide South Australia.
