Thank you Josh for taking the time and effort to not only teach people about farming and techniques, but for also sharing your platform to help others do the same. Shining the light on someone else's dreams and ambitions to make their community a better place is exactly what good people do. Well done to you both!!!

When people say “Serving the Underserved Populations” I think THIS is something they need to be looking up to. This isn’t a feel-good story, this is education and empathy and empowerment.

What an inspiration 👏 He is a solid example of educating himself and researching ways to help vulnerable children learn. They do have great barriers to learning, having home support, and good nutrition--all contribute to learning issues. What a great guy and so positive!

This is also useful in Africa as young people in Africa are also shunning agriculture. They can't see a future in agriculture.

I feel like agricultural education has been on a backburner in Africa. As a result, good farming practices and knowledge are extremely low resulting in low yields which in turn results in people giving up

I am from The Caribbean, where the young generation has shunned agriculture. Slavery has that to blame for! Our island was known in having the most fertile soil, and imagine now we do not grow and import everything ona boat. I think This farm is doing such an important thing on so many levels. Bravo!

As a minority farmer myself , its reassuring to see more people of any color gravitate towards farming. I've always grown up this way but to some people in bigger towns always have a stigma of what certain groups of people should be. Great job on the farm and Josh as always nice videos!

Thanks for a great post. What an inspiring young man-giving an invaluable gift to our youngsters. Teaching them to nurture and learning how a relationship with nature grows our bodies and our spirits. Who knows how far these ripples will travel? Growing good food is a great thing but the seeds he's planting in his 'kids' are even more important
As an aside, hoping everyone in your area stays safe from the storm.

that's true and good point! looking back in to the history of camera/color/light balance it was sadly primarily focused on optimization of white skintone, never black or dark skin - i studied photography/advertising in school and it was never inclusive of any skin tone other than white, ugh

You’re completely missing the point. Black farmers barely make up 1% of farmers so yes we do need to introduce BLACK youth to agriculture because they are not well represented in that career field whereas white farmers make up 95%. Kamal does a fantastic job of explaining why he reaches out to black youth in this video so I recommend watching before commenting
