This is Pacs soul on wax. You get the sense that this is really him, no persona. This type of strong soul-bearing is the foundation of why he is so respected

Man, when I tell you back in 2010 I used to literally have this song on repeat!! I'd fall asleep to it and wake up still hearing it! Pac should've said, "I know that they'll be listening to a nigga when he gone" at 2:35 because its so true
Paying respects to Tupac. He was the first rapper I heard. Made me love hip hop, although nowadays none of these rappers go half as deep as Pac. That has to change or else our youth won't be wise. Music is school.
This track stood the test of time holy shit. This song has got me outta so many hard times... One of his realest shit ever spoken man. Rip to the OG Rap prophet Tupac.❤️

Oh my god hearin this full blast in the headphones BLESSED IM still bumpin my head even though the music stopped? I been researchin my favourite hip hop music less known stuff and I missed tupac till now I just can't explain
It's a blessing this leaked in this quality. This song is amazing,,, the instrumentation is so DyNamic... the vibe so Unique. It's no wonder Pac planned to have an album called "Are you still down?" *citation needed*
I love this track! can't stop listening to it. I thought the album version was good but this is great. Thanks for putting it up the way pac originally did it.
I've never heard this song before ,sick ,pictures killing, how ever put this together mad props. One love , Thug Life , Is everybody still down its hard on a young srub on core
I agree both this(og) and the remix are great , my young homies stay strong, i wonder if theyll listen to a nigga when hes gone. Pac is a legend, one of a kind. Rip homie
Mario Leskovar the album version from official release is worst because they remixed it with terrible remix way. That's why they should re-release this with the whole of album at least after the remixed and before it's leaked
@Salonepapi haha since I was 17 had mad crush on pac so listening 👂🏻 & watching always been a pleasure 😍46 & proud to say I continue 2 watch pac Till The End of T!M3 ✌🏻❤️
I haven't listened to posthumous pac album after until the end of time (which i liked) on a regular basis as pac's legacy has been so utterly put in to tathers It hurts my heart to much to listen to the simple minded shitty beats of eminem (i respect him) and all the shitty pac's life producers and so forth... ultimately though fuck all the other versions, this ones the one that matters.
What Em tried to do was make "Eminem Style" beats and threw Pac on there. While the album wasn't my favorite, it's not that bad. The beats just don't fit Pac. Eminem was just doing what he felt was right with the album. I think he actually owned those acapellas, if he didn't, he had Afeni Shakur's permission to do whatever the fuck he wanted with them.
obviously he had her permission and he did NOT own any of the dat's / master reels. His beats were elementary and very simple, i think about how Cheesy Thug 4 Life sounds . . . that said, i also think about how bad ass Ghost sounds ... he did an okay job, to be honest he tried his best, it's other producers bro, nitty, jazze pha, sha money xl salih williams and so many more ...
***** "Afeni's permission to do w/e the fuck he wants with em" nah, she gave permission to Jampol and or Tom Whaley depending on the project and they leverage tupacs music to make a name for them selves and get pop radio producing producers to work with them . . . it's fucked up and you need to quit defending it.
this og r u still down reminds me of 1950s black and white films I watched how the music's composed but the version on r u still down remember me sounds depressing I like 2pac music the og stuff over the remixes after his death

The version released on RUSD album was different recording. It only shares the same 3 verses, but recorded in different period.
