A great reminder that actions speak louder than words!
The Gransfors Bruks Mini Hatchet is a miniature work of the Smiths art, beautiful in appearance, compact and capable.
Your excellent video shows the practical capabilities of this remarkable little gem of a tool.

Love this little hatchet it does so much well but although it can I would not use it for chopping I have a Silky Big Boy I would use for that tree. But good 👍 review showing the capability

I assume you are left handed? I was a bit weirded out to see how you can switch hands back and forth depending on where you are standing. Being right handed I d have that thing in my thigh if I tried to switch hands with it.

Thank you Alexandre. This is the most useful video I have seen in order to get support in a buying decision. I love the "no talk, all action" style of this footage. What you do here says more than thousand words and is so refreshing after all these useless table top/unboxing reviews. Of course it shows also something else: man, you're quite proficient in using this little jewel and I'm curious to see what I can do with it. Anyways, I'll subscribe and cannot understand why others don't. Continue the good work and have fun! Just saw you stopped posting 2 yrs ago, what a pity!

Good job showing what a little hatchet can do. That tree in the beginning was probably beyond what I would typically use one for, but it shows that it's possible.

thank you Matthew, indeed I don't typically use it for felling trees as thick as this one

@@alexandrenadeau5251 Yes but it proves it's worth and the weight saving over say a SFA or Hunters axe (both of which I have and love) means you could carry a small saw as well for no more weight than the SFA or Hunters axe
      alone.

Oh and also kill fish and allow you to gut them with your gloves on - Ice fishing, which is what L P designed it for btw :)

Plus with one of these you don't need a bushcraft knife either.....

Ade4fish Ade4fish really didn’t know that, I have gutted trout and bass with it but for bass it’s harder to filet

It is a very cute quality axe. Definitely nice to add to your GB collection. However, I would rather bring the GB "small forest" or GB "hand hatchet" to short/light camping trip or even GB Scandinavian axe.

    Thing looks dangerous
I thought you were risking your left leg when you started

I think it's just the perspective. Plus the tool is really light and controlable, not like a heavier axe where an overstrike is harder to slow down and stop.

I see your a fan of the Condor knives... Have you tried there axes? I have three and the Greenland with the longer handle offered by The Pathfinder School is awesome.

I have a tomahawk from condor but it doesn't feel agile and fast, instead it's quite heavy and unbalance. As for the steel it's alright for throwing but it doesn't hold an edge when working on wood. The leather sheath was so dry that it cracked. All in all I would go with a cold Steel next time or something else. As for the knives, I really enjoy them ! 1075 is great.! Thanks !
