I have the Tripped backpack. Worked perfect for a day of hiking outside the US with a decent amount of stuff but took up next to no room in my luggage. Now it's always in my car, just in case. Win win.
I bought the Tripd backpack because I like to hike when I can. The tiny one I'm going to buy for trips to the park to put jackets and plenty of water for my grandchildren when I'm out there visiting. It would be easy to put in my EDC bag. Thanks, Eunice!
I sometimes bring both of those bags with me. And of course, if you watched my videos you know that I use them as packing cubes inside my luggage so that way they’re not taking up dead space and they’re being useful while I’m traveling and on my destination and that way I can throw all my dirty clothes into it if I need to and just carry it on my back or throw it into cargo😊💕
@@TheoryofSimple Oh, Thanks, I haven't seen where you used those as packing cubes, I will find that and watch those!!! And yes, on my out of state trips to visit my son and grandchildren, I can/will absolutely take both of these for the reasons i stated (full hikes and the tiny one just trips to the park with the grandkids that will fit in my EDC)!
Those are excellent choices and if I use my tripped bag, I use it as a packing cube and put my clothes into it and then put that into my luggage so that way it’s useful as a packing cube as well as a day pack on my travel adventures! 💕😊
I LOVE the idea of things like bags, jackets, blankets that can fold back into itself but I too feel like I need an engineering degree 😅 BC I can NEVER get them back to the way it started 😮 Another great video, thanks Eunice!
I am right there with you! That was my biggest frustration was how do I fold this back into itself for storage so that’s why I tried a few out and these were my favorites😊💕
Rolling Underseater is my fav because most versatile mainly because it rolls, has trolley sleeve, fits under seat and because I can’t carry too much weight on my back. I’ve had my carry on checked and my personal item was difficult to carry around at larger airports when changing gates or terminals.it’s a rolling back pack but more stylish.
And your comment was exactly why I got that little Rolling personal bag! It’s perfect especially if you don’t like caring anything around your shoulders or back💕😊
I purchased the Rolling Underseater in Cranberry from your link on Amazon. It is really perfect . It fits perfectly with trolley sleeve on top of my larger 20 inch carry on. I like the section that opens up fully for some cloths, the other section fits my 16inch HP lap top and there are many pockets on exterior and the side fits either a small umbrella or small water bottle. The roll with hidden extension handle will be good when running for connections with nothing on my back . I’m confident it will fit under the seat in front if I’m forced to check my carry on. The dimensions are like a personal carry on item with the handle you can carry like a purse .The exterior looks water resistant and it came in many other colors.
It’s technically not a backpack, but it looks like one! I like that it’s small like a backpack and fits underneath the seat in front of me, but yet still rolls around💕😊
On my last trip, I used a bag similar to the 4th one you featured. It was fine since it was in my checked bag but it had a bit of a weight to it (every ounce counts...haha!) so I wasn't as pleased with it. I do like the features of the Tripped daypack so I might get one of those if the price is right. For my edc, I always bring a Shupatto folding duffle. It's a Japanese brand and what I love about it is that it folds very easily and is ridiculously small but incredibly durable. Thank you for another informative video, Eunice!
Yes! Wait and dead space and luggage are always a consider! When I bring my tripped backpack with me, I use it as a packing cube and put my clothes into it and some shoes on the bottom so that way it acts as a packing cube while I’m traveling and as a day back when I’m on my travel adventures. I’m going to look up Japanese folding duffel because I’m always on the lookout for something lighter and newer in the Japanese seem to always have that down.💕😊 thank you so much for sharing that!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the little (hidden rolling) carry-on. That is awesome and I can think of many ways it would be so useful. Thank you for all of your very informative videos.
I have a similar folding backpack to that Tripped one that I bring on every trip. Takes up minimal space in my bag, and I use it very frequently during my trip. I also always have a few of those tiny folding shopping bags with me, because our stores in Canada are not allowed to give us disposable bags when we shop, so we have to bring our own. I always have a few tiny foldable ones in my purse.
These are great for different purposes. Another must have for me is my little Reisenthal Mini Max Shopper folding tote with built-in elastic band. It’s a 15 liter bag that measures 17 x 2.75 x 23.5 inches and folds down to 4.9 x 3.4 x 1.3 inches.

If I flew more the under seat roller is cool. Since I don't I'm considering the day hike backpack. It works be nice to have in my car or take on a trip just in case.
That is the one that comes with me on every trip. I sometimes combine it with another one depending on if I’m doing carry-on only or checking a bag but the tripped backpack always comes with me.💕😊
I just bring my backpack, because when I travel home to the States, I am usually going to a library to study my special interest. Tripped products, from a different video you showed the Tripped bag that holds your computer cords that I liked so much I bought it as a gift first someone! I love your bag videos!
Thank you so much, Linda! I really do love their products! I love making these bag videos because I’m such a bad lady and I have another one coming out either later this week or this weekend so stay tuned💕😊
That is happening more and more frequently as people don’t want to pay for luggage to be checked so they’re trying to pack carry-on only. There’s only so much overhead bin space and unfortunately some people don’t listen and put two things up there and take up space for someone else. That’s why I always bring some sort of bag with me so that I can at least take out a couple of things from my roller bag and put them into a cloth bag that will fit in the overhead bin space or underneath the seat in front of me.😊
Not sure what brand, but I always put the palm-sized backpack in my personal item - on every trip I go on. Works great on day trips, shopping, and an emergency “need an extra bag on plane”.
Yes! That little pond size backpack goes with me on every trip. I actually have a different brand than this, but they no longer sell it so I had to find something that I could recommend to you. This one was the closest to the one I already carry but I am exactly like you and I always figure it’s better to have a little backpack where I can throw coats and stuff into it and it’s so small that I can even put it into a purse💕😊
Thx for another great video on travel bags! Some bags that I have bought in the past and still use did not have a trolley sleeve on them. So I added it. I took knit or stretchy material and cut a wide band and used fabric glue to secure it to the bag. The first one that I altered was not wide enough but did last for years so I now make the bands wide enough and stretchy enough to last a long time. The glue really does hold it very well. I appreciate you and your videos.
I love your resourcefulness and ingenuity, and doing this! I have thought about that a few times, but I was never sure if I could make it secure enough! I like you have some older bags that I love but they don’t have a trolley sleeve and so I quit using them. Maybe I’ll give us a try and see how it works.! Thank you so much for sharing that idea and how you did it💕😊
You’re very welcome, and I tend to agree I’d rather have a backpack over duffel. Although if I am doing check luggage, I will bring one of those large duffels just in case! 😊
Lol! I’m sorry, but not sorry😂🤣 I love being able to research these things for you and bring you this information and these wonderful items. And believe it or not if you buy one of these, it’ll probably save you money because when I was in Turkey and I had to go out and buy luggage the night before I left, and all I could get was a crappy piece of luggage that I had to throw away when I got home… It was such a waste of money. I wish I had brought one of these bags with me back then.😊
Of the ones that you showed, I'd pick the Tripped backpack. I usually bring an Eddie Bauer foldable backpack (their "Stowaway" line is fantastic, weighs 11 oz for the 20L and is made from ripstop material) with me for touring when I'm traveling. Like you mentioned, having another folding travel bag is also great for when you end up with more stuff than when you left.
The rolling underseater is definitely something I will consider. I always check in my carry-on suitcase, (because nowadays really everybody tries to max out their carry-on luggage). So if I have to run to catch my connection I won't have to do so with my laptop on my shoulder....
Generally, I put my laptop in my Rolling suitcase because of its weight and that way if they say to me that they need to check my luggage, I’ll just open up that bag and take my laptop out and put it in a little carry bag that I always have with me or open up that small Backpack and put it in there. Even though they have no overhead space for luggage, they will always have room for at least a laptop or something to sit up there on top of other luggage.
I bought a Baggallini fold up bag 15 years ago and wish they’d bring it back. It’s square with handles. Zips up. The material is heavy duty. Carries the same amount as my carryon. It folds into a book size and fits into its own bag. I bring it in my carryon and when flying home I can stuff it with dirty laundry and check it. Keeping my souvenirs with me in my wheeled carryon. Most bags like it I see these days carry less and or don’t fold up as well or don’t seem as sturdy.
It drives me crazy when I have a big I love and it is no longer available!!! I have 3 bags I love and want to share with you all but they are older and no longer available! I need to start my own company and make bags!!😊
I always take my WANDF folding duffle. Just in case. It’s light weight, water resistant nylon. It folds up really small, has a trolly sleeve and is only like $20. I throw it in for every trip and it has come in handy a few times. Dirty laundry, shoes, etc. when we purchase a bit too many “souvenir”.
Yes! Always wanna be prepared for just those little things that you think you can get into your carry-on, but just make it burst at the seams! I have not heard of that brand of folding duffel, so I’m definitely gonna look it up! Thank you so much for sharing!💕😊
That flat bag is nice and big if you need to bring a lot of stuff home but yet that backpack is so useful but you could use it anytime on your trip as well, so those are both great choices! 💕😊
One of my worries also if they take my rolling carry on then my bag would be to heavy Travelon under seat also can fit on top with trolley seat so if they take the carry on luggage you can roll the smaller one Thumbs up
Love your videos and have learned a lot from them! …I have been looking for a nice, strong and not too expensive backpack with enough room for things such as toiletries, some clothes, etc. and not so much focused on storing laptops, iPads, cords, etc. This would be used be as a personal item bag, also would like for this to have a chest strap :)
The folding bag by tripped is a great bag for that because it doesn’t actually have a laptop sleeve so there’s plenty of storage for other things. Plus it’s very lightweight.! 💕😊
Another GREAT video, Eunice!!! Wow, so many good choices!! I covet that Tripped backpack and the small roller that fits under the seat. I'vebeen looking for something like that. Do you have recomendations for sun hats or brimmed hats you can put into your luggage??
Thank you so much and yes I do. Have suggestions for hats.! if you visit me over on Instagram and send me a message I’ll send you a couple of links of ones that I use!
Cabinmax will take 1 25l carry on and 1 weightless thin Amazon 1 which have always used with my own locks. Total is about 1kg for both.. only way to actually carry on checked never again after harrowing experience with Aeromexico...not so much choice in market but will manage. If need to will buy a lightweight wheel frame separately...
Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve had a couple of those horrible checked luggage experiences myself! I rarely check luggage, unless I’m bringing something with me that cannot be put into carry-on.😊
Which do you like better, the rolling under seat bag in this video or the Samsonite carry-on spinner bag? I bought the Samsonite and took it on my last trip. It didn’t work as well as thought it would. I’m think of sending it back. Would appreciate your opinion. Tfs
I love that you ask that question because I took both of them out and tried them and they have their pros and cons. Samsonite pros: it has 360° rolling wheels which means I can push it or pull it through the airport easily Samsonite cons: it’s probably the biggest under cedar you can get, which means it will not fit under every single airline seat . What makes this one bigger which is the wonderful wheels is also what makes it harder to fit underneath the seat in front of you. so for this bag, if you really wanted to take it, you could put it in the overhead bin and carry a smaller personal item bag to put underneath the seat in front of you. That being said, if I’m going to put something in the overhead bin, I might as well put the largest thing I could put in there, which is not going to be the Samsonite. The Kroser pros: is slightly smaller in all dimensions. It has more pockets for organization. The Koser cons: it does not have 360° spinning wheels so you can’t just easily push it around the airport and have it just roll with you anywhere but that’s also what helps make it smaller. Although this looks like a backpack, it is not a backpack so you will have to carry it by the handles kind of like a tote, but that is the same with the Samsonite as well. I’m still looking for a nice rolling backpack, but all of them that I have found would probably not fit underneath the seat in front of you. I hope that helps and I’ll probably do a separate video on that very soon just so I can show the differences😊
Great video. I have been looking for a smaller day pack. I'll check those out. Also, can you do a video on how to keep your phone, passport, and wallet safe while touring other countries to avoid pickpocketers? Thanks!
Thank you so much and regarding your question about pickpockets and safety, I always wear my best or jacket that has a lot of pockets in them and I keep my phone and wallet in the inside pockets of the jacket or vest, and my best is usually partially zipped so that way nobody can just get into it. I don’t carry my passport with me so what I do is leave my passport locked up in the hotel room and I bring my passport card with me in my wallet😊
This brand may not be your style, but I enjoy simplicity in bags and less of a sporty vibe. Flip and Tumble is a local Berkeley design company that have some great bags, backpacks, etc that fold into themselves. I bring them (the 24-7 bag and the backpack) for when I want to grocery shop or if I want to daytrip without having to use my bulkier carryon/personal bag. Nice strong materials too. Sorry, no trolley straps! If I go on a long trip and I have souveniers bigger than I can pack, I will ship them home.
Thank you so much for sharing that! I’m always looking for a new local/small business to support so I’ll have to look them up! I have shipped things back before, but usually the shipping cost more than the actual souvenir so if I can bring it back on my own, that’s what I’d rather do😊
This is a timely video, as I’ve been looking for a bag on wheels that I can use for work as well as travel. I work at different sites and am finding a backpack is just too heavy for what I need to bring. That rolling bag is cute, and will fit nicely on a luggage handle. I couldn’t find the specs on Amazon’s listing. Don’t have the dimensions and weight? I’m also considering an underseater with spinner wheels. Thanks for another great video!
Thank you so much and yeah, I was surprised that this did not have the weight and dimensions in the specs on Amazon, I have not waited or measured it but I did compare it in size to my Samsonite spinner and it is smaller and all dimensions and part of that is because it doesn’t have the large spinner wheels. And that is the one thing I do love about my Samsonite is the large spinner wheels because it allows me to push or pull the through the airport easily.. although those large spinner wheels do make it harder to fit underneath the seat in front of you and means that a spinner wheel bag will be tough to get under the seat in front of you and then you have no place for your feet. so it’s a trade-off what you’d like to have regarding size and dimension. Koser is slightly smaller, but again, if you need to get your feet underneath the seat in front of you, you’re going to have to put that in the overhead bin.😊
@@TheoryofSimple I found the dimensions on my laptop! Interesting that what we see on our phone is different than what we can see on a laptop. Your roller bag is 12 x 7 x 16, 3.63 lbs. It's just what I was looking for!
Foldable backpacks - something else I shall be considering, thank you. Lack of chest straps can be overcome -, buy webbing dog collars in two or three sizes, make sure they have a metal buckle or d rings - these can be placed round the straps to pull them across the chest. Sewing them on means it won't be lost but that could hamper the folding, so keep it loose, tuck it in last before zipping up. Or put a split ring on the zip runner and attach the collar with a karabiner clip. - this also makes a wrist loop bif needed. The beige roller bag - what make is it, please? That, with an over-handle bag, may help with heaving it all on and off public transport instead of having all the weight in one roller case.. I go to stay with children by public transport and they meet me - putting one big case in the back of their car often means it is competing for space with the grandchild's folded pushchair. I hadn't thought about dividing everything into two a roller case and a bag A smaller case may be easier to stow on buses and trains, with the over bag on my lap. I'm getting really practicable ideas from you, Thank you. E❤
Thank you so much and yes, they actually make chest straps separately that you can order for your backpack😊 regarding the beige suitcase, it should be linked in the video description💕😊
@@TheoryofSimple Thank you so much for your reply, will look for the link for the suitcase. I don't travel to the extent that you do, and not abroad for many years, but anything that makes public transport travel easier is welcome. I'm fortunate that I can leave soft house shoes and garden clogs with my children, as well as various toiletries, make up, hair clips etc. A check llist lives in the case so I can note when top ups are needed.. Take care. E♥️
I forgot your one hack and regretted it. I forgot to pack an over the door hook. I stayed at an apartment not a hotel so I couldn’t hang up my purse or other items. I’ll remember next time
I'm going to Greece this spring. I am taking a carry on and a personal item. I am bringing gifts for people and also want to bring souvenirs back. Which us the best way to do that?
Wow! First, you need to prioritize. If you want to bring gifts to and souvenirs back, you need to reduce the clothing, shoes and toiletries you bring. Plan on doing wash on the go to reduce clothing, reduce shoes…they take up a lot of space! Reduce toiletries… and minimize makeup! 😊💕
@@maryallr yes going carry-on only means you really have to think about everything being versatile and you can’t bring something that you think you might use or that you’re only only going to wear once or twice😊
Great question and if I end up having to open up this extra bag to bring with me, then I would have to check a bag on my way back. Of course if you don’t want to check a bag, then you’ll probably just have to ship whatever extra things you have back to your home.😊

I completely agree!! at least if I bring a backpack, I can use it during my trip.😊
I have the Tripd backpack in purple. It works well for me.
I bet it’s beautiful! I thought about getting that color! I’m so happy you love it😊💕
The rolling underseater is definitely something I will consider.
I have one similar to the last bag and it's great for light adventure travel and does well in light rain.
Yes! I do like how waterproof it is😊
Great advice again! I love the back pack. I have to get that! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I think Karen foldable backpack is really the best option! 😊💕
@@TheoryofSimple my pleasure! I enjoy your videos and this one is something I’ve definitely had on my mind. Thank you!
I would go for the red backpack you showed or the one that sits flat in your suitcase and folds out the folding gym bag.
That flat bag is nice and big if you need to bring a lot of stuff home but yet that backpack is so useful but you could use it anytime on your trip as well, so those are both great choices! 💕😊
One of my worries also if they take my rolling carry on then my bag would be to heavy
Travelon under seat also can fit on top with trolley seat so if they take the carry on luggage you can roll the smaller one
Thumbs up
Thanks so much and yes, more these days more more they are checking bags at the gate, so I’m always prepared just in case! 😊
@@TheoryofSimple OK< cool, I will do that.
Samsonite pros: it has 360° rolling wheels which means I can push it or pull it through the airport easily
Samsonite cons: it’s probably the biggest under cedar you can get, which means it will not fit under every single airline seat .
Please advise what is the brand of the small, beige roller baggage at the beginning of your video? Thanks!
That bag is linked in the video description!💕😊
@@colleenc5008 thank you so much for doing the legwork on that Colleen! 💕😊 I didn’t even think to look on my laptop!
@@TheoryofSimple You're welcome! I ordered my bag today! Should be here this weekend and I can start using it (and saving my back 😉) next week!
@@colleenc5008 yay! I hope you get it in time for your travel adventures! You’ll have to come back and let me know how it works out💕😊
Patagonia is waterproof I always end up in the rain or wet in some situations I would get a backpack, though it's easier
Yes, the Patagonia pack is waterproof and one of my favorites, although it is the most expensive expensive😊
What is the best underseat with spinner wheels.
Well, I have not tried them all but I love the samsonite one that I use😊
Me, yelling at the screen: Trolly sleeve! Trolly sleeve!
🤣😂 that’s me! 😂🤣 thank you so much for the great laugh this morning.😂😍💕
Take care. E♥️
Can you provide details for the carry on that looks like a backpack but also has wheels?
There is a link for that Rolling personal line bag in the video description. 😊
I forgot your one hack and regretted it. I forgot to pack an over the door hook. I stayed at an apartment not a hotel so I couldn’t hang up my purse or other items. I’ll remember next time
Ugh! I hate it when that happens! I keep one of those over door hooks stashed in my toiletries bag so at least I know I always have one😊💕
@@TheoryofSimple I though I was doing quite well minimizing, guess I'd better rethink and reduce. Thank you!!
@@maryallr yes going carry-on only means you really have to think about everything being versatile and you can’t bring something that you think you might use or that you’re only only going to wear once or twice😊
How are you able to bring another bag back when you are only allowed personal item and a carry on?
Great question and if I end up having to open up this extra bag to bring with me, then I would have to check a bag on my way back. Of course if you don’t want to check a bag, then you’ll probably just have to ship whatever extra things you have back to your home.😊
Tripped backpack
Yes!💕
I like the maroon backpack
Me too! It is great!
Even my engineer husband has a hard time refolding my bags and things.
Lol😂🤣 that makes me feel better!
