Spider Bite

This pattern is one of my favorites for prospect nymphing. The holographic tinsel reflects light and is very visible even in small fly sizes. The Orvis Spectrablend thorax has a small amount of reflectivity and sparkle also, but mainly serves as a contrasting proportiong to the slim abdomen. The soft-hackled collar is tied with a soft grizzly hen cape feather and has both contrast in the feather and lots of movement in the water. I tie this pattern in different colors as well for example, gold, silver, orange, red, blue and green. I also, fish them in tandem.
