    What do you think of these exercises for a full body routine: dips, chin ups, pendlay row, close grip incline bench press, squats, deadlift and military press. All that in one day. What I don't like is that there are parts that don't work as much. As the calves and side delts.

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's not a very welk structured full body set up. It's not about just cramming as many big movements in one day as possible. Have to actually be smart with the set up so it's optimal as far as workload each session AND recovery. Check out my free full body routines as examples. As for things like calves and side delts just hit them at the end directly

    Hey man, I’m going to be leaving my commercial gym for a real powerlifting gym (finally lol). So I’ll finally be dealing with calibrated kg plates. Wondering if you have any tips on how to adjust training to new plates? Since I hear calibrated plates feel completely different from commercial gym plates.

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You adjust by just using them over and over man! Tbh you'll feel the most difference on heavier squats and deadlifts (especially if you pull sumo). There is no trick to getting used to it faster though other than repetition

    • @anthony_82pl
      @anthony_82pl 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheSwolefessor Oh what I mean is that should I adjust my program by reducing the loads a bit when I train with the new kg plates?

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anthony_82pl ohhh got you! Tbh you shouldn't have to, BUT go in and after the first week if it feels like you need to just something as simple as a 5% reduction should be plenty.

    • @anthony_82pl
      @anthony_82pl 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheSwolefessor lol thanks man. Just didnt want the new plates to throw off my training. In my commercial gym, I train with bulky bumper plates, so training with new skinny kg plates is probably gonna feel really different

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anthony_82pl it'll feel different for sure but depending on the type of lifter you are it may actually feel better sooner than later!

    Hi bro, I do my own programming and Just finished my own block training 4 first weeks. I looked at the program it showed me my volume was higher week to week. is that right way to play with off season training? what should I do next for my strength block?

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So to be honest man that's a very vague question. There are so many different ways to go about an off season . It's based upon the individual and your goals in terms of how the blocks are set up and the progression scheme of each. I've done videos over off season training and even have playlists over programming. I'd suggest looking at those because as of right now the general answer I can give based on this limited info is "yes that's one way to do it" and "it depends." You can always reach out to me via email and we can see about scheduling a time to go over your programming. That's something I'm thinking about offering people in general, as it seems people often want reviews of their programming

    do my macros look ok for clean bulk, bodyweight 145lb, calories 2810, protein 145g, fat 70g, carbs 400g. is 0.5lb a week too much?

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Calories and macros are based on the individual so I'd have no way of knowing if those are good for you. You have to test the numbers and see how your weight moves. Also it depends on how lean you're starting point is and what rate you're going for. I personally try to have lean mass phases being gaining no more than a pound a month. That's due to my trying to stay near my weight class. So it depends on you. Check out my lean bulking vids for general guidelines
