Your dedication to addressing the osmosis in your hull is unbelievable! Once finished, your hull will be super strong and good for whatever the seas throw at it!
Don't let it get to you Glass Fiber work from molding a new Boat to carrying out repairs, is always a painstaking job. You are doing fine, what you miss you can catch up with every time the Yacht is slipped. Those air pocket voids are not going to sink you. You're looking good girl, keep at it.

Wow Nicole. You are doing amazing work. Your determination is inspirational! It's good that you acknowledge the lows and you are honest with yourself. Take comfort that there aren't many people out there that could take on this amount of work, especially not on their own. When you do hit these lows, remember to look back at your achievements and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back. I've only just discovered you on youtube and have subscribed immediately. I will be drawing on your inspiration to spur me along with my own boat project - even though she's made of wood ;)
Nicole, you're doing a great job. Just lots of work to be completed one step at a time. And with each passing day you are one day closer to the great float. I’m about to start the same project on my boat. Now I know what to expect so it doesn’t seem quite so horrible. Long & tedious maybe, but perhaps not so overwhelming. Thanks for showing the realities of boatwork! 😁
Your videos do a great job of showing how emotional fixing your boat can be. Lots of both highs and lows. You are doing a great job and hopefully will be back in the water soon!
You're doing great! Keep your head up. Try to laugh at and enjoy "the journey" getting there, it's all a part of it. Just think about how amazing it'll feel when she's finally wet! You got this. 🤙⛵
Impressive progress AND determination! That's a daunting task and you've done so well. Good to see the difference between the two boats, you should be more comfortable in the new one, I think.
You have done a great job, you can be proud of yourself. I know time is money but take some time off to rest and reflect on what next to be done before launching. Cheers, Richard

You will have accomplished a massive undertaking. Its a labor of love, thanks for sharing and keeping it real!

You can't just put one ply of fiberglass over your repairs. You must have a min of 2 . Your second ply should always overlap the first ply. And if you want to do less sanding buy some peel ply or green film you will have less air bubbles and a much smoother finish
Why must I always have a minimum of two?
Because when you start sanding and you only have one ply you are sanding your patch away but when you have two and your making your second ply over lapping the first ply then you are only sanding basically the edges of the second ply. Also since this is not a structural repair instead of chopping glass up some capasil filler would be so much easier to work with.I did composite repair for helicopter mfg for a living. One ply is definitely a no no @@SailingArtha

How old is this sailboat? Did you not notice the blisters before purchasing it?
It’s a 1978. The boat was in the harbor for at least a decade with regular bottom-cleaning. But you know.. eventually the bottom paint scrapes off and it’s just the barrier coat, and then blisters just happen. I suspected there to be blisters, but I didn’t think too much about what that would mean. It’s probably a good thing I didn’t though because the “overwhelm” was gradual as I slowly learned what I had gotten myself into haha
