yeah, i'm really liking this song, and love Emily's voice, im so happy LP is back and making music, even if not everyone is there still, but at least they seem happy again making music, this song defiantly gives me a vibe like it could of been on One More Light album or something
If you listen to the studio version, Mike goes “great job now get your screamy pants on” at the end. “Casualty” is the next song on the album and there are rumors it’s the heaviest one on the record. Can’t wait for more!
I really love this song, we needed this side of Emily, it really gets me emotional + Emily's acting is really good. We technically already got this side of Emily on songs like My December, Friendly Fire, and Lost, but this time we're getting it on an original song, which is great. Oh and one thing I'd add is that this songs despite sounding like "pop" doesn't classify as pop in my book, definitely not just pure pop. And for me I also wouldn't compare it to One More Light, that album was way more "pop-y" than most people remember and the instrumentals of this song aren't at all similar to OML. This is more Minutes to Midnight imo
I have to admit i thought it was gonna turn into a chester comparison channel after the 1st video but you've really put your preference aside and appreciating the here and now which is the only way to approach it. The hate baffles me, shes amazing, they're amazing and its just great to be here watching LP reactions. Well done 👍🏻
@@boot-strapper her live performance of heavy is the crown is absolute killer. Loving you guys from the moment the "This is a fuck you to you, this is a fuck you to me!" thing happened. Great commenting you guys did on this aswell. Thanks! I am obsessed with this song and love Emily her acting in the video. I think the fact her co-star is female is a great touch, matching Emily her IRL preferences. All in all I think this song and everything about the video is soooooo good. ❤
Love this reaction. Emily’s vocals are amazing and the lyrics hit deep! We all need to not take life for granted and not sweat the smaller things in life. The video along with the song tells you the story.. they did a great job with this one!!
The banter between you two (plus the technical expertise) is what makes this channel really good. Definitely looking forward to watch more videos from you.
I really love how three-dimensional this album is going to be, it’s a really good mix of their heavy sound and the slower sound as well. I can’t wait for the album to come out in 2 weeks! Love the reactions, keep it up!
WHAHAHAHA I love your energy and humor! Also, your reactions are insightful and honest, keep it up! Took me a few listens to get into this one. Mike created an 'EP' playlist of Dead Sara to convince the band of her skills, and I feel he's doing the same with us listeners before the album dropped. 😊
For notice the song Over Each Other is a more melodic song from the album from zero. Also, Mike is doing some backup vocals on the video at the beginning
F Linkin Park! Everyday I wake up since the the From Zero news, I have their songs stuck in my head! I wasn't even out of bed yet today when I started singing! Loving the new stuff. My understanding is Mike was going to do the song but they reworked it for her to shine!
I have heard this song had a lot of iterations. Just Mike then Mike and Emily and they decided to just let Emily have it to make the song do what they wanted it too
11:18 Linkin Park's Powerchord/Octave combo has always been the sweet spot of guitars for me, they made it super slow and basic in this song, while the Emptiness Machine and Heavy is the Crown parts move faster, but all three still used Powerchords and Octaves
comment for the algorithm, ya'll obviously got great knowledge when it comes to bands/Rock/production. Makes ya feel like more than just a reaction channel, big thumbs up.
This song is so catchy, Linkin park are just the best, they can’t be pigeon holed, they’ve done loads of different styles over the years and I’ve always been there for it! Roll on the new album!!
apparently this was quickly made after a concert in seoul so it's just her and joe the director so it's not going to be a massive production like the rest of their songs it's still amazing for what it is though
Thanks for your reaction. Love the commentary. I thought the song was like solid third song the first time I heard it. Nothing too exceptional. But like one of you mentioned - slow burn - it's been on my playlist daily and I love it. It's a perfect sound. If that makes sense. I'm not focusing on lyrics necessarily or anything... the beat is hypnotic. And then her vocals. I find myself humming it all day. I can't say the song is amazing compared to other songs yet I default to listening to it over others. 🤷🏼♀️
Every time someone says this song "doesn't sound like LP", I feel the need to remind them that "Valentine's Day" is a classic LP song that sounds *almost exactly* like this, stylistically. They're more than just the singles off their first two albums 😁
They said this song is between heavy is the crown and the heaviest song on the album. If you’ve listened to the album version, after the song cuts, they tell her to get her screaming pants on.
this was by far, the best intro to a reaction I've ever seen. I'm so done with the rapid fire "hello this is XYZ and today [insert every youtuber samey bs] blah blah..." lmao
I had pretty much written you guys off after your Emptiness Machine reaction, but you've done a great job since then of shifting your perspective without compromising your integrity. Well done.
It seems like Linkin Park's really trying to please as many fans as possible. First two singles were a great nod to their old style and now we got One More Lightish song. Can't wait for the whole album
Just pre-ordered their new Record tonight.... was going to just get Heavy is the Crown and Emptiness Machine as singles when I could... then I heard this song... now im 100% behind Emily and the rest of Linkin Park on their return. One thing I have to say though, is that over the past few weeks, I've seen and heard of so many Chester fans straight up hating on Emily for no other reason than because she is "Not" Chester. And as someone who likely owes Chester (along with Papa Roach) for the fact that I am still within the land of the living due to many of nights spent screaming along to his songs back when I was in my late teens, I find it rather disheartening, and honestly feel that Chester would be turning over in his grave, to hear so many of the people who claim to be fans of his trying to actively tear down someone when so much of his time with us was used to try to lift others up, even while he lost his own battle. Emily is not Chester. She never will be. But I don't for a moment think she is trying to 'be' him either. She's simply being herself, working with a Legacy he left behind, and doing the same thing ALL artists do, trying to give people that little bit of help to make it through their day in this world. A world that, at the end of the day, cares nothing about any of us.
Loving the new linkin park direction, can’t wait to see them live. If you like complicated music with great vocals check out ghost love score by nightwish with the 2013 official live at Wacken version. They are a symphonic metal band. They have had 3 vocalists and although there was some that rejected change I think each of the 3 ladies were very successful in their respective eras. But Floor Jansen, the current vocalist) is on a whole other level. Hope you guys check it out and enjoy it as much as I do.
I know you guys didn’t really care for the first few lives but I strongly say give her another chance as people have starting to upload the Paris live shows might we worthy of taking another look into how far she’s come from the first show I was in the same boat were I was nervous on how it was gonna play out but it’s growing on me hope to see it but you guys do you ❤❤❤❤

I stole this comment from another reaction. Quote: _Mike said on Radio 1 that this song was pre-Emily and he was supposed to sing it (hence no screaming). When she joined they changed it for her to sing it._
I am not good enough at music to know why, but for some reason Heavy is the Crown and Emptiness Machine felt 100% like Linkin Park produced songs and I could instantly tell they were LP songs even if I randomly heared them on the radio. This one does not feel that way. If I randomly heared this on the radio I do not think I would pick up on this being Linkin park. Even when watching "The Raid" I could tell that it sounded like Linkin Park and asked my brother about it, who confirmed it was Mike Shinoda who worked on the music. Here I can not hear "it".
Compare this to Friendly Fire - fighting with your loved ones, one primary singer, melodic… the madness though, listen to the album track, it’s a lead in/prelude to the next track, Casualty - which they’ve mentioned is both the heaviest track on the album, and the band’s favourite track. (Mike talks at the end of the song “we got it… put on your screaming pants” which is missing from the music video) So “it’s not my music” may be premature in context of the full story haha Awesome, funny AF reaction, thanks guys
