NEMA socket photocells are twist to lock/unlock. For the gamma at the base is the ballast and capacitor, the top is the igniter. Great video and congrats for 300 subs.

I once wanted a thorn gamma 6 but ended up going down the beta 2 and 5 route I miss seeing the sox light up time when out walking.
That gamma 6 would make a lovely standard lamp especially if retro fitted with a white lamp like my thorn beta 2 with white lamp which I use daily for extra lighting
