@@SageofSorrow I grew up watching all those people. Personally, I don't think they can act circles around him. The only reason they're put up so high, is because they've had a long career with good movies to their names. Probably couldn't pull off maybe 2 movies with Denzel because Denzel's earlier works were also more focused on him being the handsome guy. And he'll win the look over Don, no homo.
Don is so diverse. He played it so cool in Colors. The way he walked, the way he carried himself. Unreal. To look at that role then see him in a movie like Crash or Flight wow

Talib so on point with the impact and cultural significance this movie had at the time in society. Shows the power of film. I’ve always wondered though if Dennis hopper, who was a card carrying republican, had ulterior motives in promoting a certain right skewed agenda. After all , like cheadel says, it was more of a “cop centered “ movie and I think pro cop for sure. It was the battle between the more liberal type cop , Hodges’ who used more of an approach of communication , understanding and mediation (ie the good cop ) versus the more conservative kill em all take no prisoners approach taken by pac man (ie the bad cop ). And ultimately shows the failure of the liberal approach because Hodges gets killed in the end. But it can also be the “old vs new “ or “young vs older “ dynamics too coming into play. Where Hodges has been around long enough to know that the “rocknroll” kick ass approach is a young mans strategy and will only further alienate you from the community your supposed to protect. Seeing which approach or strategy by the cops is more effective. But the Ending is also very interesting when Pac-Man is with the rookie and wants to show him “the Hodges way” and showing that there are no easy answers or solutions. “ No son , Why don’t we WALK down that hill and fuck em ALL”.

Benji Reid yes seems as though he selects more conscious project
and he’s a low key humanitarian
Really protects his family from the Hollywood spotlight also.💯
yep
This shows what a great actor he is. He played Rocket to a “T”. You would have thought he knew the culture before he played the role.
Wow, Don Cheadle!!! People's Party stay getting A List guests.
