❤️❤️ Actually this song was created when tamil got the ' semozhli ' tittle which means a classical language... So . That times cheif minister of Tamil Nadu ' Mr. Karunathi ' asked Ar. Rahman to compose a song.. and the songs lyrics is written by the former chief minister himself. Almost all the singers in Kollywood came together to sing this song. ❤️❤️

An interesting factoid. Tamil is one of the oldest languages in the world and some African tribes speak it even today. Also, some of the African countries are named after the Tamil words for "heat". For instance, Sudan from "Soodana" (hot), Eritrea from "Eri Theeya"(burn like fire), Congo from "Kangu"(hot coal) etc. Tamilians share the same DNA as the good people from Africa.

Semmozhi means classical language. The song was created and composed to commemorate the grand and splendid classical language, Tamil. The lyrics were composed by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Kalaingar Karunadhi, music composed by A.R. Rahman and the best classical musicians have sung it. It would only be surprising if it was not liked by people who heard it. Anyway, glad you loved our music and song. Long live our language, Tamil.
