Omg you have the most soothing and sultry voice. 🎨Edit: *Red, Blue, and Yellow are actually NOT the primary colors!* I know it’s what we’re always taught and it’s what’s been passed down for like, ever, but they aren’t the primary colors. Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow are the primary colors! The fastest way I can explain is this: Primary colors are the colors that can make all others, and can’t be made by mixing other colors. (For example you can get red by mixing magenta and yellow). There’s definitely nothing wrong with using RYB as your color palette, (you obviously make some gorgeous af skin tones with them!) but I think it’s *so super important artists look out for each other and share knowledge* A really good example is printer ink. Printers use Magenta, cyan, and yellow to make up the enormous spectrum of whatever you’re printing. If they used red, blue and yellow, prints would come out dull and inaccurate. There’s some great vids on TH-cam that will do a far better job explaining it than I can, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look into it! I promise a whole new way of looking at color theory will open up. It’s wrong and I honestly don’t know why we’re still taught this. It does more harm to the artist than any good. 🌻💕👗
Also, I was wondering If you could make a video about Patreon c: Your experience with it, ups and downs, things to consider before opening one... It is always helpful to gather information about several artist about subjects like this, and hearing your perspective would be great.
Thank-yooooo. So many helpful tips. Premixing the secondaries, tints and dark brown must make life so much easier. Keen to try this when i move to oils.
Beautiful! I have a finished sketch on a canvas laying around for probably 3 month without touching it but your videos always inspire me to start painting again, thank you
I thought this might be more interesting than just red yellow blue which we already know can paint anything. Maybe burnt sienna Payne’s grey and yellow ochre.
Happy, you make some very helpful points, but buried the lead about how to actually mix the tones following the secondaries, which seems central here. Also, you cover a lot in this in a short period of time with a fair amount of flashing (rest assured I understand your time limit situation) so maybe you could do a set of bullet points in the description? Also, would love to see a darker skin tone tutorial from you. Kudos for your hard work ✌️
Happy! I have the same silicoil jar and I'm obsessed with it 😬 do you have any advice as to how to clean it though? I find it hard, if not difficult, to get the coil out. I'm also not sure how to dispose of the built up gunk in it 😅
I have a question. I see you have been painting for so many years, from your experience, is it toxic to work with oil colours? I'm a beginner artist and I have been working with oils for about 2 years now, I m really concerned because my throat gets a little irritated/sore when I paint for several hours in a row. Im scared of getting asthma or who knows what other dangers. Ive researched on google but there isnt much Information about this topic, would really apreciate your answer🙏
I’m not HappyDArtist, however, make sure you’re in a very and I mean very well ventilated room, work close to a window, and I’d recommend having a fan in the room also and an air conditioner. Calming scents and oils will help. Make sure you have lots of water, throat lollies, and I know some people even have a mask to wear while oil painting.
@@elsamoonlight1357 I wore a mask before but it wasn't enough. Now Im working with my window open and it's better, I don't know why I thought it wouldn't make much of a difference but it does. Will try some throat lollies as well. Thank you very much for your advice!
She remindes me on Qiyana. And btw. I know its yours business, but: the advertisement is just too much. Before the Video, in the beginning of your Video, in the middle of the Video, in the end of the Video and after the Video. If i got it right thats 5 Times Advertisement and for like 7 different products (bevore and after from YT, squarespace, your prints, materials, Patreon & social media) Please think about it from the viewers perspektive.
In my opinion I think it's fine that she has a lot of ads. This is her business. She's giving the audience FREE art advice. She's also an artist. Most artists do not get paid enough for their art. If you don't like it, pay for youtube red....
Personally, I'm totally ok with her plugging the places she makes her money/living. And um... ITS HARD OUT THERE even for successful artists like Happy. She's just reminding us where we can support her while she's giving us a free, and beautiful video
Her color blocking already looks better than any finished product I have produced
I was thinking, “gosh, I hope she uploads today,” and boom, your video is the first thing that pops up on my feed. AGHHHHHH MADE MY DAY 💜

She's soo pretty. I love this painting
So cute that portrait.
I thought this might be more interesting than just red yellow blue which we already know can paint anything. Maybe burnt sienna Payne’s grey and yellow ochre.
I find your videos soo relaxing and you are a huge inspiration 😊 x
just stumbled upon your channel, i paint miniature figures and was looking for a guide on how to paint skintones. Will try what i've learnt from you!
Your ladies are just sooo gorgeous! Wonderful painting Happy!!
Ugh, it's so satisfying to clean a brush in a fresh silicoil jar 😩
For a minute I thought she said oil paint from gambling. 😭🤭
Imagine if you can gamble with oils tho
What kind of brushes did you use in this video. Love how they smooth things out.
Preciosa pintura
Nice painting

This is something Awesome ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I really really loved your works. Keep inspiring me ❤❤
Do you only use the paint thinner for the first layer?

It’s so people can go to her patreon where she has a full tutorial
you are very talented !
I love using so many colours when painting, using only 3 seems like such a challenge, but this tutorial makes it so much easier to manage
Your art ist really pretty :)
That was really helpful ❤

You inspire me so much

So amazing!
Wait so do you need all 5 paints for oil painting or can it still be doable with only 3 like in the title?
Hi happy d'artist I want to know if your shop can avail a cash on delivery payment method?
You should do a slower step by step on how to make the face more realistic
Thank yOu 🪷🌷💕✨
Beautiful painting, but i wish you did't speed up s much color mixing-the most important thing of the video. But you are amazing as always.
as stated in the video, she provides this content in her patreon
Yeah, that makes the title inaccurate, whether it’s on patreon in full or not.
But you can still slow down the video, right?
Wow, I have just seen the video.it is dam Cool.... really
My oil paint set only has earth tones so no blue. I'm so upset theres no blue.
wouls i be able to replicate your tutorial with acrylic?
mia k locey you can paint pretty much anything with another medium if you really try, but textures and effects inevitably turn out different
I know she loves to work with soft blends so you might wanna add an extender to the acrylics but I dont see why not
❤️

Why did you stop vlogging
she's so cute
👍✌👏👐👌💖💝❤
Can you imagine Jenna Marbles following this tutorial and realising that instead of 3 colours she will need 5 of them? 😂😂
Can you imagine being a person who watched an amazing tutorial and the first thing that comes to their mind is jenna fucking marbles ....
Nice but I couldn't understand that which color u should use in which time
Ur video r very fast😅😅
She looks like keyana from lol.
She remindes me on Qiyana.
