GTA IV is a great game, one of the best games I have ever played but it's physics seems to be over exaggerated by fanboys sometimes. Plus, it always isn't supposed to be about the physics because if you're focused so much on the realism of the game, what even is the fun of that anymore. And the lack of physics on GTA V makes these fanboys talk trash about the game which just sucks. Both games are great, we need to accept that more. Nobody cares about one's negative opinions.
The only problem I have with RDR2 Physics is when I’m climbing a Hill with a small Slope and then I slide down. I could honestly run up those hills no problem. But Arthur/Online Character has slippery shoes. Other than that I absolutely love this game!
it was a relief to see that rdr2 overall plays much more like gta 4 than gta 5, owing to the first game having the same physics engine as well with not many dowgrades apart from horses being a little stiff
I am so confused by all the comments saying that RDR 2 has great physics. Maybe it's just the animation, but it feels very stiff much like GTA V. Arthur's body doesn't move or shake around much when he collides into things or falls. It's only slightly more dynamic than V. That's why it's weirding me out that people are acting like it compares to IV when it's closer to V. Also, Arthur feels so heavy. The characters in V feel about the same... only slightly less heavy. Meanwhile Niko feels rather nimble and light which makes the simple act of moving your character that much more enjoyable to me in IV.
The physics of gta 4 for an old game from 2008 is still very good, the physics of 5 had a downgrade compared to gta 4 in physics I prefer the physics of gta 4 and Red Dead
you can mod physics to be realistic. believe me, its not funny xD. paired with maxed out traffic and realistic car damage, playing is kinda of a chore (or a test of precision)especially on chase missions(where one wrong turn can total a car youre using). although any car crashes look epic there are lot of traffic jams and car crashes since AI cant handle realism ;]
I think RDR3 has better physics because it’s a lot less playful and crazy than GTA 4, you probably wouldn’t see a guy doing 20 backflips after tripping
Back then Ragdoll was just that. A ragdoll. You throw a man and he will just frozen like a dead body while reacting to the environment. Hell even some games today do exactly that (Cyberpunk) Niko actually flail his arm and embracing while trying to stop from the flips

Wanna know why that happens? It's because of high framerate, you're not supposed to play GTA IV with more than 30 FPS or the game will break by making the bike physics goofy and much more
The game was originally meant for 30 FPS and the horrible PC port makes the physics worse.
@@what_4836s loser
My hope for gta 6 is that they go away from the arcade feeling from GTA 5, this is nice to see
GTA IV psychics are realistic asf while RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 is realistic too but the GTA IV physics are better
You live on cartoon life 😊
GTA IV is more arcade. So physics are more fun.
RDR2 is more realistic. So physics are more realistic.
Calling GTA 4 physics arcade is insane have you seen the realistic driving
The only reason why is cuz these games got a 10 year difference
@@stormmist3634It's not realistic so uhh cry
Next rdr2 vs GTA 5
gta 5 gonna stand no chance against rdr2
It will @@dudemp4
No @@iammiller5478
Red dead 2 already took over the physics department after its release 💀
Now you should do a physics comparison between 4 and the first RDR
The helicopter physics 6:43 was great 😎
RDR2 always kills the player with explosions. GTA IV legitimately affects you differently because you can actually survive them.
Other Companies Makes Game, Rockstar Makes Alternate World.
Nobody cares about one's negative opinions.
damn you just speak my mind
0:30 look how he protect his neck and head😮
soft reminder: these 2 games are 10 years apart
and yet a masterpiece
I cant wait for rockstar to putts this physics in to a more modern environment (gta6)
The only problem I have with RDR2 Physics is when I’m climbing a Hill with a small Slope and then I slide down. I could honestly run up those hills no problem. But Arthur/Online Character has slippery shoes. Other than that I absolutely love this game!
I think RDR2 looked better because the characters don't bounce and slide so much when ragdolling. That's why I wouldn't call it "stiff".
It’s crazy how they never remastered gta 4, one of my favorite gta games of all time
But, do we want to risk a remaster like the trilogy?
like it needs a remaster lol
Don’t fix what’s not broken
Meanwhile in starfiled, glass battle is bulletproof....
it was a relief to see that rdr2 overall plays much more like gta 4 than gta 5, owing to the first game having the same physics engine as well with not many dowgrades apart from horses being a little stiff
I cants wait for gta 6 me seeing this is making me more excited to play gta 6 cant wait for its release
RDR2 had an action figure feel to it
It's like comparing GTA Online on day 1 and today
I can't wait for the GTA IV and GTA VI comparisons!
RDR2 has alot more weight into it but its still satisfying
two best R* games. I just love GTA 4 and RDR2
GTA 4 had the best story gameplay and DLC
1:24 great backflips😅
The physics of gta 4 for an old game from 2008 is still very good, the physics of 5 had a downgrade compared to gta 4 in physics I prefer the physics of gta 4 and Red Dead
RDR2 Is Cooler 9.9/10
👇
RDR2 Cooler quality
I don't understand u guys 🤦🏻♂️, both are masterpieces.... These two games are 10 years apart.
If gta 4 physics is realistic, no one will survive car crashes and bike crashes in real life
The physics in GTA 4 aren't that realistic, but I like the exaggerated look of the physics in GTA 4
you can mod physics to be realistic. believe me, its not funny xD. paired with maxed out traffic and realistic car damage, playing is kinda of a chore (or a test of precision)especially on chase missions(where one wrong turn can total a car youre using). although any car crashes look epic there are lot of traffic jams and car crashes since AI cant handle realism ;]
I think RDR3 has better physics because it’s a lot less playful and crazy than GTA 4, you probably wouldn’t see a guy doing 20 backflips after tripping
Two different best rockstar games!!
Back then Ragdoll was just that. A ragdoll. You throw a man and he will just frozen like a dead body while reacting to the environment. Hell even some games today do exactly that (Cyberpunk) Niko actually flail his arm and embracing while trying to stop from the flips
Comparing games with 10 years of difference is automatticly win for older one...
I would love GTA VI to have physics similiar to RDR2.
its going to be better then red dead 2 like come on its rockstar.
gta 4 was way ahead of its time i understand why they scraped the entire physics part in gta 5 gta games are supposed to be fast paced so physics will just slow down things so gta 5 will never be able to compare with rdr2 or gta 4 in terms of physics
