Fantastic info, thanks Chris. Very relieved that you don't need an international driver's license overseas! My question is about money-- have you encountered a situation (like renting an apartment, etc) where they said you had to prove you have a certain amount of money?
Hey man love the videos, recently found your channel and you’re inspiring to me, I’m 20 and looking for a challenge, really considering solo travelling but hesitating due to money. I’m sure I’ll be fine just got to keep watching you 😂 love from England bro 🤍
If you’re in Baja CA, you absolutely need to rent a car to explore the Valley de Guadalupe, San Felipe on the northeastern coast of the peninsula, and other smaller towns. Again you generalize too broadly.
You are wrong to say, without qualification, that it’s cheaper to renew a US passport abroad instead of in the USA. That was NOT true when we renewed our US passports in Mexico recently. Don’t generalize too broadly before knowing for sure.
Great video for new travelers! I traveled in Japan for 25+ years on business and the younger engineers/managers (under 35 or so) do now speak English in professional settings. They almost certainly can read English at a very high level. The younger professionals will also hold back speaking English in front of their more senior non-English speaking bosses. So, yes, Japanese people might be "shy" to publicly speak english....but, they know and understand more than you may think!
If you become a legal resident of Mexico and drive there longer-term, you are supposed to get a State of Baja CA driver’s license. We will be doing that. Please don’t misinform people. Please advise people to do the right thing, play it safe and get a driver’s license in any country where they are going to spend more than a few months living and driving on a regular basis.
I looove your wallpaper!! 😊 Greetings from Romania!! ❤❤❤
The blue C note is news to me. Btw, I admire your well-stamped passport. Thanks for my new project.

In English, America means the USA. in Spanish America means North and South America.

Good advice about the $100 bills with the blue stripe. In any country, make sure that any bills are in excellent condition.

Bad advice about “English is always enough.” That is NOT true in rural Mexico, nor in Paraguay, nor in most of Turkey.
