- Here’s a quick video I whipped up as I was fixing up a truck of mine, I had found these nice seats but they were from a 1998 and they were going into the 01 so of course the seatbelt locks are a problem. Not wanting to compromise on safety by bypassing them I elected to instead wire up the whole seat belt lock module, which proved to be a lot simpler than I had thought!
I’m not sure how much different it would be to wire up a set of power seats, however I imagine a lot of the wires are the same between the trucks for year to year.

How are these supposed to work from factory? My seatbelts have never locked, until one day randomly while running errands the driver seat belt locked. The next day I decided to poke around and see if I could fix it and now the belt is unlocked again.
