The most beautiful are Cala Luna - Moon Bay (five kilometers from Calla Gonnone) and Riso beach on the southeastern tip of the island near Villasimius. In some places you can see special buildings nuraghi, which have been standing here since the 12th - 10 century BC. Nuraghi are ancient fortified dwellings and sconces created by the first inhabitants of Sardinia.
Sardinia is an autonomous region of Italy with the capital Cagliari. Local farming is focused on sheep breeding. The industry is developing in Cagliari, Porto Tórres, Sant Antioco. The island is rich in mineral resources. Transport to and from the island is mainly provided by ferries and planes. Numerous vineyards and olive groves provide delicious products. In the area of ​​Barbagia still live wild horses. You can visit Alghero, Arbatax, Cagliari, Calo Gonone, Nuoro, Oristanto, Sassari. In Sardinia, Italian is officially spoken, but residents try to keep Sardinian. In some areas, even Catalan is spoken.
