thanks man i seen a dually set on ali express and came across your video! now i just ordered the hex couplers!! love the ingenuity!! cause i got plenty of wheels and what not!!
Nice video mate. But I think this mod is just for fun in the workshop. So wide rear tires does not add any increase of the climbing abilities of the rig ( personal experience ) The crawler turns to a monster truck smasher. I've experimented with tons of wheels an tires : wider, more wider and finaly reach the conclusion that thee best for climbing are more narrow tires with supa soft texture for more grip . No huge graifers or smooth slickers.
Another way is to use a Dremel to hollow out the center of one wheel and then hot glue or superglue the wheel and tire together and now you have access to your Bolt with duallys 👍
Where I can buy the copper pillar? on the video 12:37, the parts on your left hand. can I have more clear photo for this parts? how to install the hex on the cooper pillar? thanks.
That is a fricken cool upgrade. I love guys that think outside the box. I won’t do this to mine, I have different plans, but kudos to this beautiful truck.
That's awesome :). I do have a 6x6 scx24 truck build compiling in my brain right now. Maybe i'll implement this for twin dually in the rear :). This idea is getting expensive... XD. haha.
I did it :). The performance is unreal!!. Waiting for better weather so i can try it outside. Thank you for the dually inspiration. It really made the truck look nice :). I had to use a FMS Atlas body tho. Only thing available in my part of the world. Looks great, but not custom :P.
Awesome looking truck! If you don’t mind me asking as long as I have that m2 coupler assortment I should be able to get the dual rear wheel set up with any bead lock rims right? Like possibly just have to do a different combo of extensions, what’s your opinion I have injora beadlocks by the way
@@rcrewired1220 thats good to know, i'll 100% try it out..did you planing on installing a brushless system onto this truck? would be coold to see how it performes in terms of low end traction.
Two questions. The medium hex cuppler is the one glued Into the black plastic hex correct? And which glue did you use to glue the black plastic hex to the cuppler?
that rig looks awesome! i have a deadbolt but love your rig and want to get the c10 and build it into a recovery rig.i just bought milestar patagonias. i took out the foams so they are super soft. are the bfgoodrich tires soft?
Hey, great video and rig! I have a question- How are those BF Goodrich tires? How do they size up to the stock tires on the C10? I’m looking for a rc4wd tire that is about the same height as stock. Is there any chance those could fit on the stock plastic wheels? Thank you for your time.
They are pretty awesome, the km3 are just as you describe but they are wider than the stock tires. I really like them, though they don't fit on stock rims, you'll need beadlocks for them to work.
I have a set of these glued onto stock C10 rims. They balloon a bit, and I wish I would've trimmed a lot more off the foams, or left them out. Careful gluing, one side at a time got them pretty straight. The BFG tires are a good couple mm taller than the c10 tires, and way more grip.
@@cyclecats Hmm, Interesting! I have never thought of it as a problem gluing rc4wd tires to the stock rims, because I have wheel weights on them. Thanks!

Splendid! Splendid! Splendid!!!!!
Doing this mod to the new Gladiator. So glad I found this video, I didn't want to do gluing on a printed rim.
Tip: the milestar Patagonia tires are really awesone
Hey where did you get the old wheels you have on your rig i like them the most they look like a real dually lol
We've got to get you up to Everett to try that dually out on our course.
Eeeeyy trust me I've been thinking about that course, might have to shoot an episode there!
Thank you dude!! Finally!
Absolutely! Enjoy the video!
great freaking idea. Thank You ❤🎉😊
Looks great 👍
That is super cool, appreciate you showing how to, looking awesome
Thanks so much! Happy you like the rig!
It looks fricken great
Hey thank you so much! I have been really enjoying this build!

Happy to help! Glad you enjoyed the How To!

True but then they are glued wheels, the point of this was to be able to use independent metal beadlocks, that you could re-use in the future
@@rcrewired1220 you can get the hot glue apart and still use beadlocks just another idea if you don't have the hardware for everyone out there
Awesome video my rc friend 👍😀
Thank you so much, been really excited for this one!
Just an FYI, if you have an FMS K10 (Apache, Magnum, etc..) and want to make a dually you need to use M2.5 hex couplers.
well done!! this is a great idea
I really appreciate the support! So happy you enjoy the content!
@@rcrewired1220 of course!!
What was the old setup I like it

Where did ya get that long deep wrench for wheel nuts? Looks handy.
Love the video! Where did you get the coupler kit?

Where did you get the rear bed assembly for your rig?? It’s super sick 👍🏽
Comes from Shapeways!
Great vid awesome build mi familia 👍
I subscribed 🙏🏼👍👊❤💯

All the ideas are expensive for these mini trucks! Hahaha 6x6 with dually rears would be sweet!

Oh man amazing! Have an insta or somewhere you've posted it? Would love to see how that badass thing looks!
If you have one PM me @rcrewired on Instagram!
I don't have any social media but I uploaded a video for you. Sry for not using your design on the dually. But is was 100% inspired by your video :).

I found a set of barley used stingers in canada but can't find any online.
Yeah, unfortunately all aftermarket parts for these things have been difficult to get lately.
I'm not using beadlocks can this work with the stock wheels and tires I want to dually all 4 tires
Where did you get the flatbed
very cool idea, but i think this will be a temp solution as the weight of the truck, will bend it or even break it..
Been running it for some time now, haven't bent or broken anything. Thanks for your concern though. Maybe try it yourself?

Yes, and I used 5min 2 part epoxy for glue.
Where did you get the wheel nut extension from?
In my "how to" video on making the duallys there is a link to get the brass hex couplers!

This but with portal axles
Sir look at you left rear outer tire its not straight
Close enough! I truly don't care 😂
Ok just letting you know so if you didn't know it was not straight and you wanted it to be.Love the video BTW
Nah I've made them over a few times since the vid. Appreciate the heads up though.
It's a ton cheaper to buy the 3d printed ones on Etsy
Doesn't look as nice, had them, checked them, built my own.
