looking great. if you keep drive way down on LD mos you can do what ever you want to antenna and wont hurt it. BBI has great video on this. put screw in coax ,cut it. had RF sparks all over. byrd meters in reflect going all over. when you get to upper power levels the LD mos can be touchy . 73's
Him, Prime and Mudducksharky are the true pioneers of the LDMOS. But Prime is the guy who actually had his test circuit adopted by NXP and put into data sheets as a reference circuit. So I give a lot of credit to all those guys.
I think I forgives it out I am about 80% sure. The LDMOS boxes that ever had an issue were all keyd up using a RF sensing relay. Which means RF and bias were already turned on before the output relay had closed. And that momentary ark that would form in the relay would sometimes take out the pill
So the capacitor that was in that original video is no longer used by me as the datasheet doesnt cover the frequency of operation. I never had any issues with it but decided to switch on my own to a more robust RF rated cap. This one is a Russia transmitting capacitor with a KVar rating of 90000watts. Thanks for the update on the LDMOS, hopefully in time it'll all be sorted out for more reliable use
Beautiful Workmanship
Thank you!
Truly top quality workmanship👍
Thanks

Outstanding 😎
BBI did several videos on the LDMOS. I think that he's kind of gotten away from those lately though.

Bom dia gostaria de adquirir um amprificador potência boa pra por no caminhão movel 73🇧🇷
i had a boo boo with the ldmos too

FYI 3300 is way to high.
Nice amp
Thanks!
You saying that one tube will produce 10 KW rms?
I had it up to 8900w RMS (CW). I will do close to 10k RMS, however I dont recommend running the tube that hard.
An you tell me who makes that 40kv 40amp blocking capacitor and what part number is please?
