My uncle who was is now a retired chef use to make nopal smoothies when I was a kid and he would add the cactus and banana and I don't remember what else but it was sooo good. 🇲🇽😍 But I never liked the cooked. They had to be in a smoothie or raw in a bowl with lemon salt and chili 🤣😋

I have never known to eat it raw. Nopales cooked yes! With eggs or make a pico de Gallo even with carne Asada but raw 🤔 I don’t think I can eat it that way. Are you going to try it?

I would like to say this prickly pear cactus is healthier and safer than san Pedro. 👍 They can also be breaded and fried its good with a dip. Wash then dip in flour then in egg then fry. Ranch dip is good with this. Before I touch it I flame off the stickers with a torch. The younger parts have no stickers yet and are healthy.
