I have been on about 5 rides now with this OXBOW Voyager helmet light kit. And let me tell you it is worth every single penny! I have a 2020 yz250fx and I can be in 4th gear with this light on high and not out ride it! For only 100$ and for how long the battery does last you it’s worth it! If I where you I would pull the trigger and buy one of these lights ASAP because they are typically out of stock on Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. These lights are amazing! And they are easy to adjust on your helmet and have them placed right where you want them!
Thanks for sharing and touching on this topic. I Recently Wired up a little LED headlight on our TTR-90, while I was at it added a small tail light as well to see the kids from behind easier while riding with them. So far works pretty well.
I know that trail! it's a fun one, and we've actually done it at night too, trying to get away from the immense amount of hikers we usually see glaring at us during the day.
During the super hot humid days of summer a lot of my riding is night rides. It’s dangerous and stupid but mostly alone. I live in jersey and I don’t have many people to ride with that aren’t getting into trouble. Anyways I absolutely love night riding. One of my favorite things
I used to do an awful lot of night riding on mountain bikes and it was my absolute favorite! I recently got a 22 model 300 XC-W and plan to get a Motominded Baja Designs kit. I have Baja Designs lights on a couple of trucks and they are spectacular. Can’t wait to try one out on the bike 👍
@@importdoc7 It is absolutely nuts! If anything they are maybe too bright because it makes the dark around you seem even darker lol! In al seriousness though, the light is as robust and reliable as they come (I’ve had Baja Designs lights on trucks for years). It will let you go as fast as you dare, and will have your buddies envious 👌
Night riding is a blast. I just bought my first wr so I'm looking forward to the first night ride. I'll have to look into those helmet lights...might be better than rigging up flash lights lol.
7 years ago I was riding my ole ladies new ltz 250 quadsport wheeler I bought her at midnight on a trail I only rode 3 or 4 times. I'm a big dude at 220lbs 6ft3. The little 250 handled my size well. Anyways I forgot about the massive state ditch that ran through the trail. I came up on it in 3rd gear . I flew over it and nose dived into the other side flipping me over the handle bars and the quad landed on top of me. The exhaust was cooking my calf and the face guard of the helmet was dug into the mud. Adrenalin rushed in fast and I just pushed myself up quad and all. I was banged up pretty bad . I didn't have my cellphone on me either. Luckily the wheeler was fine. Rode it back home and tended my burn
Video idea for ya!!! Could you make a Night video for beginners? Just some good ends and out, good practices on the bikes and to others on the trail! I'm 38 and only riding for 6 months so a video from you would help lots. Thanks for the videos! They have helped me a bunch as I move into this amazing moving sport!
I've never been on a night ride. Trails are pretty far from my house. (2.5 hours) In the national forest and I believe they are technically closed at night. I'd like to try it though. It looks like fun.
I actually just bought this exact light setup for my bike before watching this video, im doing a night race in about a month, about how long does the helmet light last?
Awesome stuff 👍 I have been wanting to get into some night rides here in SE South Australia. By chance I actually ordered an Acerbis led headlight for my 350 exc and an Oxbow Voyager helmet light only yesterday. It certainly looks like you have heaps of light. Once my kids see this video...they to are going to want helmet lights and give knight riding a crack. What kind of run time do you get out of the helmet lights ? Thanks for this video mate....always enjoy your content. 👍
wish i could ride with my dad and brother but in Victoria (Australia) you can only ride legally in the bush and dirt roads with a dirt bike license and you have to be 18 to get your L's :(
Right then this dude going to tell yo get a job and I’m 14 trying to help my family he going to make it seem like it’s so easy to buy 1, I’m like bruh it’s not that easy, I have to pay for other stuff too and he said he cut grass at 14 to get Xc 250 and I’m saying you gotta have a lawnmower first and then you have to have a lot of spend money and I said so if your telling me to work your 41 years old you should be able to buy 1 and work for 1 and he already has a dirtbike
Riding with a holstered gun just seems so sketchy though. I’ve been carrying for 9+ years, but I take my gun off before getting on the bike, I suppose I’ll take my chances with the wildlife. To each their own though, I can see how having a gun handy could be useful if confronted by a bear or something, after you just finished taking a leak off the side of the trail.
Hey Kyle I hope I win, my dirtbike was stolen and I am trying to become a successful motocross racer, you inspire me that’s why I love watching your vids, watching your vids brightens my day so much I hope 1 day we can ride together. If I win I will be so happy and thankful, I’m 1 of your biggest fans, I’ve never won anything a day in my life, I can’t afford a new dirtbike. My fingers are crossed, regardless of who wins I will all ways be your supporter. I sent in post cards too, God bless your family, hopefully I can get blessed with a new dirtbike, I love you so much and I hope your kids are ok and have a good life. Leave a single track ❤️.
@@reToyotapickup yeah bro I just hope I win because my dirtbike was stolen and I can’t afford a new 1, my dirtbike wasn’t a racing bike but I used what I had, mines was a pit bike but I was using what I could and most of the ppl entering the giveaway have high end expensive bikes and I have nothing, ppl joining have dirtbikes and just want more, I’m joining to try to get better at riding to succeed my dreams.

Would love to do a night ride like that, but in Tasmania Australia you would get taken out by kangaroos and wombats running across the track.
@@pghdave420 not true at all. In fact I'm more scared of USA with grizzly bears, mountain lions. We have koala bears and wombats. 😂
It’d be deadly during the night in Aus

This is the best night ride footage I’ve ever seen. Nicely done.

Good to see you riding with your boys can't wait to get a bike so I can ride with my boys
I was just thinking about a light the other day. It's amazing how good of visuals you have with that helmet light!
+ 35 years ago. Night Rides, I would duct tape 5 dura beam flashlights to my helmet. My friends made fun of me,,,but I could see.
Way cool to share this experience with your boys. Kudos
Way to show those boys a good time! Can’t wait to teach our son how to ride 🙏🏽
Be my dad please my dad rode bikes when he was my age but he won’t buy me one🤧
That’s a really nice trail all I have near me is a bunch of roots and giant rocks

Getting on it around the 5:00 mark, looks cool.
Looks like it would be real easy to take a branch to the face on that trail, at night time. Good ride! Looks like fun!

Night rides are thrilling, but aren’t you disturbing the wildlife in that place?
