@RustyRatchetGarage drive shaft was the oem drive shaft. I bought a slip yoke for the t56 and had a drive shaft shop weld and balance it. The EWS I just intercepted the outbound key on signal after the EWS box. Can't remember the name of the module but I have a video that shows the drive shaft and the EWS bypass. th-cam.com/video/PPae96b-888/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1YACpZ_L-ROvGnXV
@RustyRatchetGarage hey brother, I have been working on it some but have not had much free time recently. I'll see if I can make one after Thanksgiving to show where things are at and the progress I made since my last video. Happy Thanksgiving and take care.
nice man im planning on swapping my e38 this year! awesome progress brother! She is looking and sounding amazing, Any tips or stuff you found helpful in these swaps in a separate vid would be greatly appreciated. Like what what worked vs what didnt. If that video is already up disregard this request lol. Cant wait to swap my e38! Cheers!!!
Hey Cliff, I don't have a number I added up from every piece I bought, but trans was $3,200, motor was probably $5k after forged pistons and machine work, cam, etc. Exhaust was $1,200, terminator x was about $1,200. Would say probably $14k after all said and done. Could be done Cheaper which is my goal with my next motor. Those numbers don't include labor which I probably spent 3 to 4 months working on the project. Best of luck.
Nothing quite like a road trip to test out a new build. I got mine put together and I've been driving it everyday.
Yep, I needed to break in the motor anyway. Gonna change the oil and see about getting the A/C working!
Looking good!! Cant wait to get started on mine
Thanks brother, best of luck! Let me know if you have questions.
Awesome!! Thank you for the content 🤘🏽✊🏼🙌🏼
What did you do for a drive shaft and how did you bypass the EWS security crap

That's a good suggestion, I'll have to think about that and make a video. Feel free to ask questions and best of luck with your swap brother. Cheers
Question how much did it cost for the swap
