I watched him in his final two years of college, he takes a lot of threes, like a lot. He never sees a shot that he doesn’t like, but when he’s hot he rarely misses, I remember one game he was like 12 of 12 from deep.

He can not only shoot the 3 ball, but can do so from deep which will help spread the floor for the lakers if he gets the chance. He was a #1 option (ahead of Bub Carrington) on a very good team that finished 4th in the ACC

It is the same reason the Lakers got Dalton Knecht who is very good, and would have been a top 10 pick if he was 19 or even 20, but he is in his mid 20s so he is considered less likely to develop further, leaving him for the Lakers to draft in hopes that JJ Reddick, the greatest movement shooter in the league (other than Curry who is just the greatest shooter overall), will coach him to be another all-time great movement shooter, since he was the best movement shooter in this draft and JJ's personal favorite.
