As always, Mustard and I have been insanely busy the past month or so, hence the lack of content for both TH-cam and Twitch. Before we fly out to the IPS Finals, I really wanted to get our latest "Getting Started" out there for you guys. Been really enjoying Black Manta and hopefully this helps point some of you in the right direction. Especially as not many people really seem to know what to do with him right now, being as technical as he appears to be. This is the longest Episode in this series we've ever made.
TLDR: Once our schedules ease up a little, regular content will return. Thank you all for being so patient and understanding!

Black Manta will be one of those characters when somebody picks him you know he's actually Good.

Float combos are not for the faint of heart
That last combo tho
Is there a reason you start to LOSE damage doing the float cancels in your combos? Is this a bug or can someone confirm this? Seriously I can do standing 3 into float 2 then cancel b22 float 2 air torpedo cancel again- b22 mb torpedo b3 launch j3 b11u3 harpoon and it does less damage than a b22 mb torpedo bnb combo????
Ty its on purpose. Anything into float will scale. Kinda like supergirl
Ty float cancel combos are not optimal at all considering they scale a lot.
I'm assuming it's because his damage would be pretty insane if floating didn't scale.
B22 float is also more confirmable than b22 torpedo, and torpedo is dedicating to a bar that wont work if they block.
PNDK&M I have yet to have a torpedo miss after doing B22
SoraTheOne it's completely interruptable on block. Your opponent doesn't know the matchup.
I must say 2:05 is my fav part

Can I have some advices on doing the float j2 into torpedo? I have tried a lot but it never connect.

Just asking because a few other pros are saying he's trash
Way too early to dismiss a character as trash. He has a lot of potential.
PNDK&M what's the advantage of using air missiles for combos sure it looks flashy but, I can net more damage off much simpler combos and not have the need to use my entire character power to do so
TheSupermonty15 it's for two reasons only, back 3 is hard to connect sometimes and his damage is not good for how long his combos are. Other than that he has amazing tools
