About Drunk History:
Based on the popular web series, Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of our nation's history. Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of actors and comedians, travels across the country to present the rich tales that every city in this land has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth. It's just that sometimes the truth is a little incoherent.

"Either LA has to stop growing or we have to figure out more water."
That part had me dying 😂
and no one asked what will happen when it grows again for the 50th time?
I just came here to point out that you and I have the same avatar. We're like kindred spirits.
Minty Hippo I have a friend with that avatar on Discord too...
I can't figure out why that Goku avatar is so damn funny..
It's jack black's delivery that does it 💀💀💀
Jack Black is a pretty good actor honestly. His facial expressions are wonderful.
Agreed very animated
I've been a fan since the mid to late 90s when I first saw Tenacious D episodes. So hard to believe it has been that long....wow...ugh
I agree. The most recent one i have seen him in is the new Jumanji and i think he did so good at that cute, funny role. But obviously he's acted in way better movies tho
just because he is fat
pretty good? your pretty good, hes kick ass! (kind of a quote from tenacious D)
“What year are we in?”
“I don’t know.”
“Yes you do.”
Sounds like me with my students 😂
What do u teach
Sergio R******** sex ed
Owlover003 why negativity
This guy knowd how to deal with drunks. You have to get serious, frustrated Dad serious.
Jack black's ability to interpret what I can only assume are telepathic drunk inferences into concrete emotions is impeccable
What a beautiful type of drunk. Clumsy elegance.
zeezhz I’m like a buzzkill drunk. I envy him.
He seemed a lil obnoxious...
This is that “good drunk” 😂😂
oh god, Jack Black is spot on!
genius
He is great
Even the narrator sounds kind of like JB himself xD
PpppproooooP!
Kyle gas knocks out here as well
Jack Black's expressions are just CLASSIC. He's like the coolest co-worker you used to have who would make the EXACT faces while having a conversation.
Whenever I start to doubt the legitimacy of the drunkenness of the storytellers, Drunk History drops a clip like this
"LA is the fucking nonsense of nonsense. The fucking water!" Masterpiece.
Jack and Kyle did some pretty good lipsync-acting in this.
They do the interview first SMH 🤦 then they give the actors their lines they only play one audio it's not rocket science
@@j.r09160 he's saying they did awesome lip syncing to said prerecorded audio
Junior M you obviously didn’t read that correctly. Asshole.
Junior M you’re a fucking idiot
I knew that was Tenacious D
Glad to see Jack Black again!
+Brandis33 lol what?
+samwell54 I don't understand how that sentence could confuses you....
jack's been doing loads of stuff
+Brandis33 and Kyle Gass! Dont hear much about him lately.
+Brandis33 Jack Black is back
I love Jack Black, his ability to convey complex emotions by using just his facial expressions is absolutely genius.
We need more.
We need more jack black
I absolutely lost my shit when he said "San Francisquito"
he actually didn't screw up the name, the St. Francis Dam was in the San Francisquito canyon
yeah, same
It turned out bad though.
Jack Black nailed this
Hailey Marie Jack Black always nails his roles
We need more teachers like this. 😂😂
many more
The problem is we have a lot .-.
You mean like Jack Black in school of rock
history is now my favorite subject
i think every Drunk history episode should have a "My Cousin Vinny" break in the middle
I never realized how many people HAVE NOT seen that movie, like WHAAAAAT? It is a comedy classic. Period.
Joe Pesci giveth, and Joe Pesci take(th) away
That’s the problem with yootes these days!!
I love how the reenactments recreate the look of "Chinatown." This story serves as a great prequel to that movie.
I really love everything about this show. Idk if there are problems, inaccuracies, etc., but I've loved everything about it for a long time.
I doubt anyone would see this, but if you do, thank you for making this show. It really helped me during a very hard time because it gave me friends that told me fascinating stories, and gave me smiles when I had none.
Bless y'all.
And Mulholland's like vrrooooooooommm LMFAO
San Francisquito Canyon is the real name! I thought he was mispronouncing or made it up!
Im learning SO MUCH.
Who needs school when we have Drunk history? We're learning *and* having fun
+Lola DeMarco IKR
ain't it funny how
hahaha me too
it's like we don't even need history class. this right here, we actually remember.
I can only imagine the amount of work it takes these actors to match a drunk persons dialogue with all the mistakes, stops, and stutters LMAO 😂
I'm a simple man, I see Kage and Jables, I press like.
I too as well also...
e e e e e e x a c t l y my thinkin compadre
The Wonderboy and Young Nasty Man!
@@hieu-headless Its definitely poops mcgee!
Long live the D!
The D
Let it live tenaciously
I find this comment insulting, because “long live the D” implies that something could kill the D, and everyone knows that, due to arrangements both corporeal and supernatural, that is not possible. I expect this 3 year old comment to be updated immediately to something more fitting.
Long live me! I'm sorry; I have poisoned your wine!
We are the D We are the D we are the D we are the D we are the D!
Ole ole ole for Mulholland, see the water fall, and hooray hooray the sky is falling, down at Bradbury’s Mall.
In environmental history, we study this from a pretty different angle
I can only imagine!
You mean the fact that Owens Lake was one of the largest lakes in the country and the LA Aqueduct is an ecological nightmare that has completely ruined pretty much the entire ecosystem of the southeastern part of California?
@@AlexDeLarge1 not to mention the fact that it has impacted the central valley by diverting away water and making an already dry area even more dry.
Yeah... I think there’s going to be some taking back of those water rights back to the Southern San Joaquin before too long.
@@AlexDeLarge1 dont forget the mulhulen is responsible for the St. Francis Damn disaster which killed over 600 people
1904,5,6,7 whatever
This was hilarious and the addition of Tenacious D is perfect
He actually told it pretty well -- he'd be, a like, a Herodotus dude if he were sober. A Herodotush dude of Losh Angelush, dude!
And the actors were spot-on.
flyinspirals I just heard Sean Connery speaking that last part of your statement. 😂😂
"We're going to have to do some shady, shady... You wanna watch My Cousin Vinny?" XD omg! haha
"This is like a fucking pipe in 1904, 5, 6, 7, whatever"
4:50 I love that welcoming entrance LOL!!!
It’s so obvious Jack Black has a PASSION for his acting. Love him!!!
The movie Chinatown references this and is one of the greatest noir film of all time
Cant believe i just discovered this. I must binge watch.
When you realise that ancient Romans architects would have done it better
200 miles is almost three times as long as the largest Roman aqueduct.
What have the romans ever done for us?
@acevitamin the aquaducts was the correct answer.
@acevitamin It's from Life of Brian
@pdxfpvomgkthx maybe for singular aqueduct, but Rome alone was watered by 800km of aqueducts
that big pause in the middle.
I see you watched the video also.
lol "im the god damn director of this" proceeds to spill his drink
I can get used to learning like this
Does anyone else experience the audio de-syncing with the video during the title-card sequence at 4:00? It's sad because the audio ends up running behind the audio, and Jack Black deserves better than that. :(
After trying many times to understand the concept of the show I finally got myself to see a full episode.
I'm obsessed with them now.
Oh. God. The Washigntons are the best!
That was hilarious. Jack Black and Kyle Gass are awesome.
Nice! I drove on Mulholland drive without knowing it's history, it's even cooler now...Beautiful road too...Anyone that hasn't taken a trip to hollywood should put it on their bucket list... LIke NYC, it's a must see...San Francisco too. Although, with google earth, you can pretend you're flying in a helicopter through those areas...
Nobody:
Every kid entering adulthood: 1:56
Let us not forget the greatest quote of all time: "I am soooo fucked up"
*sniffs* so beautiful.
This series is genius! How many other people would make a show where you learn history from a drunk person's perspective.
"LA is a fucking nonsense of nonsenseness", I couldn't have said it better myself.
TechLife11 why? i am from argentina, so can you please tell me everyone said the same?
If this would have been my lecture in college, I would have passed my class with an A. So funny 😂
Trying to catch the alcohol as it's splashing out of your drink is is the most relatable thing.
I see that the video is 6:00 minutes! You can't fool me!
0:15 you see his glass is half... then when derek says "do it one more time" and it cuts to jeremy again, the glass is full as shit lmao
I just said 2 days ago “where tf is jack black?” This is awesome!!! The drunker they are the better the actors have to be😍
Love how they portrayed these two best friends in our history with Jack Black and Kyle Gass from Tenacious D
I had no idea there were not palm trees in Cali originally. Thanks Jack Black and CC.
4:08 he's so done with his shit, lol.
Man, how is it that these skits make me remember history better than a decade of public schooling?
Until now all my friends would shame me with their knowledge of cool cable tv shows that I felt no connection to until now . You see I too know many things that others do not . This show proves it. Thank you very much. Peace christo
Chinatown was a documentary. So was Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
We first see Eaton while he's eatin'. Great visual pun there.
I remember watching a documentary about Mulholland, it was great.
This is the best Drunk History of all time
Wildfires!
1:02 Boii Eaton... whatchu eating?!! There isn't anything on that fork XDDDD
This is like one of my favorite videos guys - Great job to all involved!!
We have to figure out more...water. Jack black was gold there
Another award winning performance by Mister Jack Black.
Someone who is actually drunk, on drunk history...
Gist432 He just has more tolerance. Some people just pass out at this point. You want alcohol poisoning?
@@Ladoga753 If he's able to speak that coherently he's nowhere near alcohol poisoning.
Not everybody slurs his words when drunk.
@@Ladoga753 lol give me a break
Probably the best drunk historys out there
We're gonna have to do some shady............
shady..................................
Can we watch "my cousin vinny"..?
LMAOOOOO this is fuckin wholesome i cant stop crackin up ALL HAIL DRUNK HISTORY, ALL HAIL JACK BLACK 😂😂😂😂😂
I legit was almost rushed to the hospital while checking on an entire tortilla chip when he said San francisquito
This was so awesome and interesting. I learned a lot. Whole film and story telling was awesome. Thanks. I learned a lot
Im even more excited that Kyle Gass is in this too. Love live The D!!
This show was funny yet educational!!!!! Why did this show have to stop
Bppppt All the way to LA
Tenacious D does Drunk History
Epic, Being really drunk is the key to this series.
"High History" (if that was a thing) episodes would be soooo long!!! Lol 😁.
Man Jack Black is like legend
Omg that looks like black panther in the back haha 😂 I could be wrong
Kudos for the "Chinatown" shout-out..
Amazing and fantastic a must watch. Peace Christo✌🏻✌🏻👽👽
30 seconds in and his drink was refreshed.
"Brrrrppp... All the way to LA.... Brrrrpppp' 😆😆😆
Literally me right now trying to explain the LA Water situation and fires 🔥
Usually the show is "buzzed history"
Not today
I learn more in these videos than my history classes
Check out the Movie Chinatown featuring Faye Dunnaway and Jack Nicholson which is a great semi-fictional movie
and check out the issues with mono lake (in real life) and the Owens Valley and the city fathers such as Chandler that "fixed" the issue, by hook or crook
but no, it isn't all downhill, there is an amazing engineering
It's always good to see JB and KG together
Thanks for not blue-balling us at 4:03
jack and kyle should make a movie with this concept lol
Broop! Wait Where's the WATER?!
It me!!!! When I have like 3 glasses of wine🙈
I would've learned so much more in history class if this was how we got to learn it.
That aqueduct is very impressive....but then you realize how insanely impressive the ancient Roman aqueducts actually are
Best history show ever!
Jack Black just perfectly fits in any scenario
OMG HE'S SO ADORABLE WHEN HE'S DRUNK
Wish they would have taught history like this back in high school!!!
There it is... take it.
I'm dying
loooving the narration...
