The loss of two sons (Lamen and Lemuel)...............the pain is unbearable. I have lost two children to the world. I pray for them everyday.

I cried when Lehi pleaded them to obey.

The fruit of the tree in Lehi's dream represents the love of God, and it is available to everyone who wants to experience it! The rod of iron represents the word of God. It leads to the tree with the fruit which is sweet, beautiful, and most desirable. Which is exactly what experiencing the love of God is like.

This is the best representation of the Tree of Life I've seen :)

Lehi knows what fruit he has tasted and the joy it has brought he and his family. He pleads for Laman and Lemuel to partake of the fruit and to keep the commandments of the Lord but they do not and get lost and fall away from the rod of iron. #FaithToAct

Pray for me that I will be kept safe from Satan. I need all the help I can get. I live in Toronto Australia. I am a junior like Joseph Smith. Believe in the many spirits of God: Jacob's Ladder, Abraham 3:19 and many other scriptures, such as in parable and numbers,, or the seven spirits of God in Revelation and Zechariah 3&4. Articles of Faith number 9.

Flee the Mormon church if you want to escape the flames of Satan!! If you don't then you'll have to endure the wrath of God!! “Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.” Psalms 33:8

Apparently it will be only a tiny portion of God's children who ultimately experience his love. Everyone cannot have or live a perfect life of marking all the boxes on the checklist. People struggle. People have stronger faith at different points of their life and weaker points at others. Sometimes people do wander in "strange" roads because there are lessons there they need to learn. "Keep the commandments or ye shall be cast off..." Most of my family must be doomed-we have people addicted to drugs, gambling, alcoholism, jealousy, grudges, greed and I personally am a gay man. So yea. God surely is pissed off at my little group.

A Stranger Here - My family is in a similar situation. But I do my best to love them, because I know that God will take into account the unjust circumstances they had to go through. I believe He’s very much more merciful than we sometimes like to think-He’s very much like Jesus.

God loves everyone, regardless of their situation or choices. Yes, he even loved people like Hitler and Stalin, from the most evil of people, to the most righteous, from the poorest to the richest and most wealthy.

let's recap - the Fruit of the Tree of Knowledge was forbidden - yes it was the ONLY fruit that was forbidden - Adam + Eve were UNfaithful and did eat - now the Fruit of the Tree of Life is Forbidden and God treats them as UNfaithful and evicts them as sinners to live as we do today = NO Fruit
    - WHY would God offer anything Forbidden to Sinner Lehi ? even in a Vision ? obv it's not offered to you

    • @germanslice

Because you don't understand the Fall.
'Behold, the man has become like one of US, to know good and evil'

@@germanslice - my point is the UNfaithful did eat and caused the fall
      - God posts armed guards to prevent a repeat with tree #2
[ that means God does not want anyone offering the fruit to anyone ]
      - Lehi is now offering fruit to all the UNfaithful = NOT a vision from God
      - - or do you want to claim Eve Faithfully offered the Forbidden Fruit to Adam ?

If there was no opposition, of good and evil brought into the world by the Fall by what our First Parents did in eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to have their eyes opened as God's eyes are open then there would be no wisdom nor understanding, no righteousness, nor sin, nor wickedness nor happiness, no joy, and no misery, and no growth nor development, so everybody would be stuck in an innocent state in the garden forever going nowhere and their development and growth would be all halted and there would be no further progress and for that reason is why the Fall had to occur to open the way up for further progress of God's children.. There was no other way, they both had to eat the fruit, or remain in the garden of eden forever in their innocent state with no hope of any growth or progress.

@@germanslice damned for Eternity in Paradise because they were Faithful - yep
how long before God decided to wipe out the whole Unfaithful lot ?
      - you forget we largely come from Noah - one of 8 survivors of the Eradication of Adam's heirs - all that knowledge did was get them drowned

Well its either be stuck in the garden of eden in a state of innocence going nowhere without any knowledge of good and evil, having no knowledge of sin or misery, nor joy or happiness, so you couldn't be happy like God if there was no Fall, or Fall and go through opposition and follow God's laws and be resurrected with a glorified body to enjoy the same happiness that God himself enjoys..That is why there is an iron rod right beside the straight and narrow path and it goes all the way along that path leading up to the tree where all the fruit is..
