And he is a driver that can control his car, the typical average guy can't do that, when they're on the phone they are twice the danger than a well prepared team and a race driver.

A bit crazy, but I saw your news story that you had spotters, etc. Although to some it may look reckless, I think you took pretty good precautions. Of course, a 100% closed course would have been the only truly safe way to do this. Maybe I missed something, but the only "damage" to city property that I saw was some ripped up ice plant. I think the ice plant will survive just fine.
