You can easily do this in act two btw it just requires a bit of waiting if you don't have any pep pops or pep pips. For switch owners if you go to the eshop theres a free dlc that'll give you 5 pep pop along with some other goodies.
You can also fight the headless knights in the fortress of fear when you get there the metal king slimes are rare but often spawn when fighting them should at least get you to level 60 during end of act 2 should boost your chances against mordegon and jasper Exponentially also it's nice to be able to get rid of half the level grind.
It's a great strategy, but it's super frustrating for me that Rab usually takes another 3-4 turns after summoning the slimes. One of them almost always manages to run away before I even have the chance to put them to sleep, and even then, only one of the two remaining ones ever actually get slept.
Im doing a metal slime trick,. Im still at the very early stage of the game at the mermaid place.. Im level 62 already.. Once you get the boat the game will give you a semi freedom to roam around.. Thats the reason why i get so powerful and doing some metal slime grinding.. My only problem is im so very powerful i have the best gears ,all my character gears are all plus 3.. My casino account is around 900k.. I really want to increase the difficulty :( .. To much grinding will make the game so boring and easy
Also about needing Eric, I still haven’t gotten the mermaid’s harp back and I saw in another video (they didn’t show how they got in) but they were in the snowy area. I can’t phase through the rock. That’s impossible, so I can’t get through until I find the harp.
I did this when I was lv 25. As soon a I got jade. If you get to the slime island an do it. Watch out for the happy hats. You get a ton of them an they sell for 5k a piece so easy money
Damn it, I was hoping to use this to spam level ups because Booga is annoying. The only thing I have is pep pop. (I think it was from miscellaneous rewards.) I’m playing Definitive Edition on the Xbox One S.
ik this video is old but boy has this been one of the most infuriating ways to farm ive gotten the stupid robots like9 times in a row and then when i have gotten the slimes they ran away 4 times before rab could move and then the 2 times he did move first he missed the sleep on the liquid who then precede to run away so just about anything that could go wrong farming this has been going wrong
People really need to stop complaining about the old-school grinding in this game. Grinding is a J-RPG thing. Enix does not care what non-Japanese audiences think about this game. Thank god for that!
I'm already killing king slimes but still going 2 levels at most. Using hallelujah before and killing 2 liquid and 1 king. Not sure why they say you go up to 8 levels after 70...
That's a lot of experience the first time playing it I played it on PC and I just used to cheat engine made it massively easy right now I'm playing it on the Nintendo switch and I'm not cheating at all it is significantly harder than using cheats LOL
darkdragosrages just completed the game, there wasn't any change. I got over 800k exp from vicious king metal slime and 2x vicious liquid metal slimes. the exp increases after you complete the luminary's trial. not sure how it works though. EDIT: I think my previous comment was normal king slime and normal liquid metal slime hence the much lower exp.

Jade should have Thunder Thrust which can be used to trounce sleeping metal creatures.

Not only are they random and rare, but they also seem to have at least a 90% chance of flee before the battle starts. (It’s really annoying)

I may have reunlocked my current characters early as they’re all higher levels now, not lower.

Did they patch the amount of exp received from metal slimes? I get only 200k exp from 1 king metal slime and 1 liquid metal slime.

Draconian quest sort of requires you to be 90+ when fighting calasmos
