I think the back and forth about how normal or not normal it is to expect someone to call their dog rings doubly true. There are things that can be expected, but if you think about them too long, they get a little funny. Whenever I hear someone call their dog by a human name, for instance, it reminds me of the Adam West cutaway on Family Guy when he laughs about a cat named Paul. I lose it most of the time😂

28:21 Look, 2 things can be true at the same time. In context, some of the funniest sh*t ever. This is the brilliance of John Oliver. The fact that today, many U.S. citizens won't catch it, is the saddest part of all of this. Most people who laughed at this point, are nerds. And then there are some of us, who had to rewind, then laugh.
No surprise, I suppose, but he has great taste in stand-up.

Another factoid on the naming of soccer. The term football had nothing to do with kicking. Rugby Football and Association Football were “on foot” as opposed to horse games like polo.

Well, 2 of them have no idea who the guest is that week so they can't do any research. The 3rd one, who gets the guest to do the show, does some research & presents them at the beginning - the other 2 try to guess who it is, before the guest is revealed. Perhaps you dislike the premise of this podcast then. 🤔
John Oliver is wrong about wanting more John Oliver in podcast format. He could have a podcast where the premise is people coming on to interview him. Wait, well maybe that's a better idea for someone like Pacino or De Niro.
Sean Hayes doesn't add anything to the conversation and its just too many ppl, u guys should drop him, i know he's a friend an all but he takes away from the conversation. At the end of the day, there r so many other podcasts & other forms of entertainment, so it's easy just switch off after you hear him say something stupid, like that dumb ass dog joke at 13:40. But i really like listening to Jason & Will , so it's just a damn shame man, goin over to Rogan, Marc Maron or David Spade & Dana Carvey. #competition
