There is no possible way I could express how much I was affected by this episode. Christy Sims is, for me, the strongest, most beautiful and inspiring woman I’ve seen. Her story is so much more than just surviving DV. She had to basically relearn how to “be” again! I am a survivor of DV and have been inspired by many others, but I couldn’t believe how in awe of this amazing woman I was. Sincerely, I wish her all the joy, healing, love, peace, prosperity and whatever else she may need or desire in her life. Truly inspirational. She came face to face with true evil. Such an amazing woman to never give up. ❤❤❤ Of course Chloe is an exceptional young lady, and I wish her so much healing and love. I have no connection to this kind of situation (thank God), but of course I could still feel her pain. As well as for her sister Neveah, his biological daughter. Indeed. It's way too harsh. Actual murderers get less time in prison where I live (Germany). The American is very much revenge-oriented and therefore almost as bad as the actual convicts. I hope he will at least be able to get sufficient psychological counseling in prison to help his rehabilitation. And I hope the victim is doing well.

I remember vividly when this happened because as a college advisor, one of my students were dramatically affected by this situation because she was dating Christy’s children father. She was in constant grief about how he and the children were traumatized about it. I had no glue how bad it was until i saw and heard Christy talking about her story on our local radio and TV stations in Atlanta. About 2 or 3 years after it happened, Christy came to the college and spoke to our students and she is indeed a powerful force who has turned her pain into her passion of saving people’s lives. Her book is indeed a page turner. It was so riveting i read it twice and this is coming from someone who can barely get through one chapter of any book. I follow her on social media and she really looks good and seems to be even stronger now than when she did this interview which I believe was years ago despite them reposting in 2 wks ago.
You are a strong woman. As a man, I can’t imagine going through what she did. That “man” is such a disgusting, disturbed, despicable who doesn’t deserve to be alive.

Glad the POS guy in the first story went to jail, but what the hell is with those idiot cops who "interviewed" the victim while she was still delirious in the hospital bed? Were they just trying to get the case wrapped up quickly so they didn't have to do more work?
As traumatizing it is to be interviewed immediately after dealing with such a horrific ordeal, sometimes victims of various crimes do remember much needed details. So I am guessing that the police just wanted to be sure that they can get any information while the memories are recent. But police officers should tell a specialized psychologist to do the interviewing, not the police (so the police could give a list of questions to the psychologist).

Omg I actually even hate having drain cleaner in my cupboard. The thought of it just makes me nervous and anxious, as stupid as it sounds.

Glad the POS guy in the first story went to jail, but what the hell is with those idiot cops who "interviewed" the victim while she was still delirious in the hospital bed? Were they just trying to get the case wrapped up quickly so they didn't have to do more work?
As traumatizing it is to be interviewed immediately after dealing with such a horrific ordeal, sometimes victims of various crimes do remember much needed details. So I am guessing that the police just wanted to be sure that they can get any information while the memories are recent. But police officers should tell a specialized psychologist to do the interviewing, not the police (so the police could give a list of questions to the psychologist).
They often try to do an interview right away when at all possible, especially if they knew she'd be put into a medically induced coma for a long time.
@@noraa.616 yeah, but unfortunately some cops are just glorified check collectors who don't care about anyone and want to "settle" the case quickly, even if it means justice isn't served. Because they treat their jobs like bored walmart employees.

She has no emotions towards someone one foot over the door, especially when she's the survivor with all her baggage in tow and she's such a beautiful young woman.
