I love how you've depicted Crow in this! Tephra and Ariella are using the traditional "ironic" way of saying "Good for You" to show him he should be ashamed. Crow seems to genuinely be impressed and congratulating him on doing something nefarious... and being well regarded by Crow fills him with even more shame.
I think what happened is that Tephra was chewing him out for betraying her, used holograms of his love and his best friend to give him one more test, then when he chose them the holograms lured him into a prison cell.
One does have to ask, who an actual villain here is. The realistic princess who knew that her kingdom was dependent on war economy and had to be tough, or an idealistic young prince who overthrew his sister and brought the whole kingdom into poverty. The road of good intentions leads to hell after all.
How can a country's economy even be dependent on war? War is a constant drain on resources; it doesn't produce anything profitable unless you're capturing territory. A kingdom in an endless war (aka stalemate) isn't gaining any new resources. If the army of Sukochi was mercenary (waging battles for anyone willing to pay them) then a war-based economy would make sense, but as Sukochi is only seen fighting their own war against Winterdown their economy being dependant on the endless war makes little sense. Even if it did make sense, nothing in the game nor the comics remotely hints that Princes Tephra is continuing her father's war out of an understanding of economics.
@@ashtongiertz8728 And the same comics mentioned how her brother has been facing outright revolt because things got worse with end of the war. The war economy works because this provides jobs for the people. And as you wage war, you can steal from enemy the recourses. The simple fact remains. At least at the start of the comics the end of war makes things worse for citizens.
It was a surprise for Malachite too lol. Yeah, I wanted to keep them a surprise. To be honest the hardest part was I didn't know if I wanted to use the full song or not. So I wasn't sure If I was going to put them in at all but I'm glad I did.
@@BowgalleryA okay, so tephra used malachites affections for ariella to guilt trip him into going back to the kingdom. But what about crow? Is crow a hologram, or did he just bamf his way from his ship to the sukoshi(god I hope I spelt that right lol) kingdom?🤔
Congrats on the creator of the game and comic series of Nefarious noticing you! I hope I get to that tier someday with my art and illustrations! You deserve it marvelous and inspiring work!
I like that scene where he just finally can't take it anymore and how almost as if instantly when he screamed back at her she let go of him, like either she didn't actually want the arguement to get violent since she still cares about him and doesn't want to hurt him so tries to make him calm down by stepping it down a notch,or his sudden outburst actually scared her having not been prepared for anything like that and thinking he was gonna do something brash and attack her thinking maybe she pushed him too far
It feels like in this story. Malachite took advice from crow to go after something he wanted and it ended up hurting his sister who actually cared for him and Ariella who he claimed to be in love with. Crow almost looks proud.
When Tephra announces her plan to Crow to take his Doom Howitzer for herself, he points out that she'd be using her brother to power it... To which Tephra replied "I'll finally have a use for my useless brother". No. Tephra doesn't give a shit about Malachite.
This was nice to see. I like that you made this animatic about the lord of flames himself. It was nice seeing him attempt to stand up against his sister and try to save his friends. In the end he was tricked by his sister who used holograms to lead Malichite into the cage so that he wouldn’t get in her way. Also looked like Typhra did some real damage to Crow as his hologram shows him without his robotic arm leaving him defenceless. I really enjoy watching your animatics and I hope to see more amazing work in the future.
it is likely that the broken arm of Crown is due to the end of the game (since he is wounded) and although the end shows us that he is on the beach with Betty in the game the characters take him for missing
Omg...this is amazing work I mean..idk if this story is canon or not since I never read the comics nor saw most of the gameplay soo if this is a fanmade or not idc I’m SO impressed!! Keep this up,man! AMAZINGLY SPLENDID YET AGAIN!! I almost cried bc I feel like the demon woman (don’t know her name still new to this fandom) I felt like her on the lyrics since my half sisters had a better life with my step father or their real father and me never seeing mine. My abusive and narcissistic step father left 2018 after Christmas so it was tough that he never wants to see me again but gets to see my sisters every Saturday and plus have to see him last time in court on Tuesday next week April 30, so after seeing this I can relate that their life was better and I sometimes put it on them when they misbehave and never take what me and my mother say and when they go on a temper tantrum out of control. Sometimes feel like the boy that feel guilty about them trapped since my mother can be like the demon woman when she puts it all on me based on her life being just as bad since we both got abused by my step father. So yea I LOVE this so much really captured their story into mine!! T0T makes me feel bad.
The dwarf princess was the first to want to end the war, hence why she allowed Crow to capture her. She hoped he would get Techra and she would get a chance at negotiations or assassination if the former failed.
Crow and Ariella were holograms. Hence the fact you can see things through them. That also explains the disc he almost trips over after he escapes the cage, the holograms are coming out of them.
Andrew Hornbeck just read a comment that helped me understand. Crow and the princess are seen as being in a cage but they are holograms used to get him in the cage if he choose them
This is só amazing and beiutiful 😃 You should have more subcribers and you win my I love to create songs but I never writing then on paper maibe I write a song and send to you to use 😆
Am I the only one that reads this a one of those toxic relationship, where the abusers is using sarcasm to guilty trip the other? I know that's not the case in the musical, but in this animatic, I am not sure...
Abusers? The most abuse he received from his sister was being cut off from funds after throwing one to many super parties, in a country with economic troubles.
@@Suksass fair enough, hadn't taken that into account, then again this comment is old, and apperantly old me tried to imply they were both abusers? Like both the prince and the princess, I don't know. Anyway you made a very good point.
She is horrible because she is angry that he abandoned her? Tephra was a great queen and good sister, if a bit rough around the edges. Not sure how it is in later comics but in early ones Malachite admits to others that Sukochi wasn't doing great under him and people were on the verge of overthrowing him. If not for his friends hand-outs, he and Sukochi would have been in even worse position. The guy literally had to be cut off from royal treasury for throwing to many parties before the game began. So please. Do explain to me how Tephra is cruddy queen? She worked with what she had and took care of her brother to the best of her ability. If she truly didn't care for him, he would be long dead.
Crow told him to take what he wants and go for something that makes him happy, his sister and the other Princess are upset that Malachite is leaving to go with Crow and Crow is all smug and happy.

"So you really CAN be a piece of shit when you wanna...
Proud of you buddy"
crow is just smiling through out because i think he saw a future villain
It does seem like dwarf princess and Crow are having their own argument and Techra is simply using it to her own advantage.

For some reason the characters fit damn perfectly.
At the end, it looked like Ariella was yelling at Crow rather than Malachite.

Ariella was obviously a hologram. Kind of made it pretty emotional, seeing as how Malachite loves her. That's pretty cool. :D

Holy shit, I thought this'd be some dumb animation meme but this is great. It fits their characters so well
