Technically yes, Kel'Thuzad gets a tour of Naxxramas from Anub'Arak in the short story "Road to Damnation," however it takes place before the Third War, so all of the adds and bosses you see when he walks around shouldn't be there.

It was kinda beacause michael mcconnohie was also doing the voice for the Lich King, so they changed it up a little to avoid confusion, he also did Deathwing and Uther the Lightbringer,
0,1% actually killed Kel'Thuzad.. 23 guilds! Unbelievable..

I can confirm that KT is the hardest boss of naxx along with 4 horsemen.Imagine that no guild back then managed to get it on farm.

Lol at all the people that pretend that they experienced original Nax. Less than 1% of the playing population completed that instance in vanilla.

I experienced it. Did not finish it. Noone on my realm did. Except for those Horde few who transfered from Genjuros to Magtheridon and joined Nihilum.
But we have to remember.. it took very long for China to get TBC. Almost everyone there was full tier 3 and running around with Corrupted Ashbringer and Atiesh. When they finally got TBC there was a guild who killed Illidan in tier 3 and a few odd new pieces they picked up along the road.
I know its an old comment. Still alot of people experienced Naxx one way or another. Getting attuned, killing a boss, or wing. It happened to alot more than 1%. I believe that number represented the population that saw KT die. Alot of the population did step foot into Naxx. Warranted or not.

it's a rogue, he's using t2.5 rogue set and huhuran's stinger (18 agi stat stick). He's probably shooting at the start of the fight because he doesn't want to get aggro on pull, which is actually a bit overkill but was pretty common back then.

@@1minuteag0 well in Winterspring there is animals plant life and villages with the furbolgs night elves and goblins. So not exactly a wasteland. I was just commneting how the scenery looked more like Winterspring than northrend

I fucking regret for not experiencing wow from it's start :(. I started with a private lich king server.
anyone remember when patch 1.11 came out and alot of people had were just getting T2 gear along with AQ10 and some AQ40 gear, MC was doable with 25-30 ppl that was my first raiding experience cause it took me 5 months to get to 60 and farming scholo-strat was a pain to get gear, never got to down a boss in vanilla naxx but it was fun as hell wiping in it
I remember seeing that trailer and thinking "well there is some more content i'll never see myself". xD
It's not thre real trailer, that was released back then. I hope they'll reupload the correct version sooner or later.
The hardest thing about Naxx 40 was constantly recruiting players to replace the huge number of players quitting when they saw that Hellfire Peninsula gear on the PTR was better than their Naxx epics. Got up to KT in the final reset with a coalition of guilds but wiped in the nuke stage. We had so many world buffs that it just wasn't possible to have another try. Really fun instance. I remember figuring out how to rotate 7 tanks on 4HM before we ended up with 9. Part of what made it hard though was running it on 2003 era hardware (not everyone had new PCs).

This isnt level 80 Naxxramas, other bosses, other mechanics, other layout ect...

Liam Manten I did Naxx 40 and I can say that Maxenna was never there. Unless the developers moved it the week it was released which is unlikely.
+Liam Manten same layout, same bosses except for Morgraine replaced with Baron. What did changed was the trash and also the loot tables got shuffled around. A lot of the cool Kel'thuzad and Sapphiron drops were moved to lesser bosses.. kinda sad tbh
Back when actual gameplay was used to advertise the patch...not silly cinematics we see today :S
lol It's not a gnome hunter, it'sa gnome warrior using his bow because during some phase Patchwerk caused a lot of damage to melee players so meele dps would retreat and only tanks stayed close to him, while melee dps would attack from afar lol I haven't done Naxx in a VERY long time lol

There actually was a way on retail to glitch yourself there with a mage.

I remember when I first started WoW back in 2006. I made an undead warrior and I felt so accomplished just getting to level 40. My account was later hacked and I lost everything from that character. The damn nostalgia though. I also never made it to sixty in vanilla wow :(
Not Winterspring. There is cute good location inside Naxxramas. You can see part of this at the portals of Kel'Thuzad, but most part is hidden from players.

The snowy area was Winterspring.
You're thinking of Dragonblight which wasn't in the game at this point. This is an old patch before the burning crusade expansion.
less than 1% of the playerbase got to see naxx, yet the other 99% are saying they miss the good old days, yet they probably never even set foot in the instance

Seeing this video, and how it was made, Makes me miss Vanilla wow SO much.
The hardest instance in all videogame history... besides sunwell. By the way the 4 hoursemen fight with 8 full prot warriors still the most refreshing experience ever happend in videogames. I'm not joking blizz make it happen again, at least one more time please!

I'm so proud that I got 3 bosses down in this raid! Imagine if original naxx was released in modern wow. Everyone would just LFR it and clear claiming they're the best. Heck even Nax 2.0 hit softer than nax 1.0, 20 levels lower too. HAHA

This was hard and fun, we never made it to Kel´thuzad but that was awsome, because these bosses were hard and almost imposible to kill :P

His phylactery, the thing a Lich retreats into when its physical form is destroyed, was stolen by a false Argent Dawn member or something after his death in Vanilla Naxx and delivered to The Lich King who ressed him again. Wowwiki all the way!

I know what you mean... now everybody has like Epic gear, and a mount at level 20.
I remember when mounts were for level 40s, and it was an epic feeling to get a mount...
Now, mounts are just like a new piece of gear, I mean, they're for level 20, whitch can take 3 hours to get to, if you're a hardcore player, unlike the childern, who only watch Dora and play this game 5 minutes per while exploring and doing no quests, because they are to stupid to just press a few simple buttons!
Back when they actually included gameplay in video game trailers.
kinda when back in vanila, tbc, wrath and maybe cataclysm. When warriors and rogues did have an abillity which was called shoot which they needed a bow, Crossbow or gun to actuall shoot.

Regardless of whether or not that's true, Naxx was never floating above a snow map in-game until wrath.
By the time this was out i was still thinking WoW is just Warcraft 3 but from first person, and was wondering who would want to play it without being able to see from above.
How does it comes that that gnome is using a bow (1:09) when gnomes can't be hunters?! xD

Does anyone know where the other patch trailers are? I looked on their channel and saw Ahn'Qiraj but nothing else.
It is right outside of Kel'Thuzad's chamber. The 4 portals that the spiders come from when he reaches 50%? hp.
To this day I’ve only seen the original corrupted ashbringer one time from a guild mate, with classic wow being out now a little part of me holds out hope perhaps I’ll get it...despite the fact only like 30 guilds ever saw the first Nax let alone beat Kelly
I guarantee that at least 30 guilds will clear naxx within the first 6 hours of it being opened, and hundreds if not thousands by the end of the first week.

Those were the days....
You needed a summoning stone for 1 instance, and you needed 2 people to summon you.
I was boosting a friend through Deadmines together with another friend, we were both level 85, but my friend allmost forgat how to use the summoning stone, so it took us like 3 minutes to figure out again (it's just like a raiding summoning stone, I feel so stupid).
Now, you have LFG, and you can play with people from other realms.
And everybody takes like 15 minutes to level up from level 1 to level 2.

Sure nowdays wow is too easy. But this raid was way too hard.
I just realized that this backstory of Kel' Thuzad and whatever totally doesn't fucking make any sense here. He is seen going up into a necropolis and walking past some Death Knights, when Arthas was the first of the Lich Kings yaddayadda... and Arthas killed Kel'thuzad and ressurected him as a Lich later so he couldn't of been a Lich in Naxxramas . He and others (maybe) who were part of the Cult of the Damned were responsible for beginning the turning of undead in Lordaeron with the plague.
People saying " I i miss the good old days, it was so much fun" Only half of those people even played then, if not even less. You raided 40 man and you only stood there doing your dps or doing your healing, not much tacts at all. Sure it was hard, beacuse the bosses did much dmg, but the only ones that really had it hard were the tanks and the healers. THe tacts were so horrible booring that you can compare it to Deadmines xd. The only way to get good gear were by doing booringand long instances
-Nobody uses gearscore any more.
-Talk to any top raider and they'll tell you that MoP has some of the hardest heroic encounters ever (except for a few pre-nerf cata ones). And the only reason they tend to be cleared way faster than old raids (except sha of fear heroic, who took a number of weeks) is because the players are much better and all concentrated in the top guilds.
I think you're just mad you're not good enough for a heroic raiding guild.
i quitted before level 85, it got to easy and to much of a "kids" game.
Raid were hard, because YOU, and your 39 other people had to know tacts, in Wotlk i cleared ICC 25 hc with guild, no problem, but that i cleared it with a PuG just made me realise already there it was to easy, we were about 10 people actualy playing good, the rest was just tagging along and that's how it is today.
