The third track under the West Palm and Lauderdale stations is actually the High/Wide bypass track. It's only used if both the east and west mains are occupied, or for oversize moves as needed.
@multicolorfilms it was a great video! Did you notice the diamond at Marcy is an OWLS (one way, low speed)? CSX goes through on a solid rail and can pass at speed. US sugar (actually SCFE) goes across the elevated rail and has a 10 mi an hour limit. You can see each truck rise up and drop down as it crosses the diamond. US Sugar is the railroad that serves all of the cane fields, SCFE does all of the other commercial work and interchanging with FEC and CSX. They are both owned by US Sugar
Great video of the rails of Florida my guy! ❤❤ Honestly, as much as I love the sugar express, I don’t really like the new paint scheme that USSC has been producing. I much prefer the old yellow and gray over the green and yellow, but if you like it that’s fine. We’re all entitled to our own opinions, and I respect yours.
I'm totally with you on that one, the yellow and gray scheme is far better. I actually noticed while editing this video, the two locomotives' green paint doesn't even match lmao
Excellent video Christian! I especially like the US Sugar units , so pretty. Was the derail at the junction remote or did the crew activate manual? 27:50
Thank you! The derail is connected to that signal, so whenever that signal is green, and the dispatcher lines them across, the derail sets in place for forward movement.
As always, great stuff. Quite the assortment of passenger and freight alike. FEC, Brightline, Tri-Rail, Amtrak, U.S. Sugar and of course, CSX. Excellent narration and fantastic camera work. Kudos, Christian.
Nice coverage of the Palm Beach area-jumping between the mains. Do FEC crews call the signals as do CSX conductors? Nice catch with the U.S. Sugar Ft. Pierce turn with its new paint scheme. Love the Sebring/Avon Park area-lots of history around there. Thanks for taking us along.
Many thanks Bill! As of late 2024, FEC and Brightline both call signals like CSX. I’m gonna have to go back down that Auburndale Sub, so many Florida scenes, so untouched
Great Documentary from where I grew up.❤
Thanks for the like and comment!
Nice catch at Marcy 👍
Thanks!
Cool catch of US Sugar at the diamond
I agree, thanks Nick!
6:28 that’s a nice bright line passenger paint. Greetings from Houston. I railfan BNSF, Union Pacific, CPKC.
I always enjoy it when somebody has a unique sign-off to their video. Great work as always
Thanks man!
Bruh,
Excellent as always!!

Thank you sir! There’s so much to see down there, I’m blessed to have the equipment to show it to all!
@@multicolorfilms You're also blessed with a lot of talent. First rate production! 👍
There is a pretty active railroad near PCB. I think it’s the B&L. Should check it out
I'll look into it for sure

Nice video. may I ask how you knew about CSX, like M453 coming?
I had a friend in Lakeland who let me know. Actually the old district supervisor of the Jacksonville division let me know about the curfew.
@@multicolorfilmsoh I see
Why are you standing on the tracks? 10:25
I guess that's where the train caught me
😂
