My boyfriend (he's an atheist) is starting at a new college in a bigger city away from here, so i sent him a little voice message to tell him that i believe in him and i love him. By reading comments I did not know that this was a religious band nor did I know that this song was about God, I thought it was just a beautiful love song, which made me get really teary-eyed.
It can still be used for both. For example, take barbell for example. One person can use it for bench and the other for rows. It works 2 different muscles(the chest and back) but with both it also works the shoulders and triceps. So, chest and back is like God and someone you love, the shoulders and triceps is the love and the barbell could be the song. Was a stupid example but i think it gets the message out

I am a Christian but this is what I love about TFK, Skillet, and Red. They're definitely Christian bands and Christians can hear the references to it but they're vague enough that it can be interpreted differently based on my mood or people who aren't Christian aren't pushed away.
