Booster boxes will essentially have a 1 in 4 shot at including an enchanted, but should have a set number of other pulls like all the commons and uncommons, 4-5 legendaries, etc etc. The single blister packs have the possibility of having more or less than those hits. So you could get multiple enchanteds, or none. Extra legendaries, or none. Typically they all balance out though and enchanteds are on average 1/96 packs. As an example I opened almost 300 packs of the first chapter and only pulled one enchanted, until packs like 278 and 280 where I pulled two more to balance the odds. Unfortunately I only weighed about 15-20 with the blister carton, but the weights were so widely variable I didn’t bother doing a 1 for 1 comparison. They were lots of random measurements between 33 and 35 grams so too wide to draw a correlation between that and enchanted I think.

I honestly don't know what the fix is from a production standpoint. The nature of certain holographic types, like cards with texture or differen foils or whatever, seems to mean there's always going to be weight variation. I see similar video with full explanation and all with same conclusion. There is not a way how to weight it as he took one pack... open put on weight (with enchanted) and then same with non-enchanted and weight was higher sometimes lower...so there is no way. Working in production and has access to some lab scales so I will try with inklands... but I´m 99% what will be the result :). You don´t need a coat but really do one BB with it´s opening and If your test will be same with same results and it will make sense then most of people even below this video will agree with you. In that one case? sure can happened but in total it´s not weightable... My best shot would be to test it in way = 24 packs per booster so I will take 6 heaviest ones and open these. In additional video I saw they weight just enchanted and sure they were 0.05-08 g heavier than standard cards this weight with difference of normal cards around 0.03 g it can make such a big difference. I´m 100% something can be weight i.e. is very possible 50% heavier vs 50% lighter ones = will be something like 90-95% of enchanted will be in heavier :) but from what I saw till now taking most heavier pack and open it doesn´t mean enchanted and even heavier pack can be without enchanted and lighter can have one. There are so many differencies which needs to be analyzed. If you do it once more I would be surprised if you´d prove I´m wrong. No offense. I see you try to show it to people in good manner. But many people below this video is surprise how this will work... some knows it don´t already and only thing I´m speaking about it needs to be more precise to prove this method works...
It’s pretty standard for an LGS to open one booster box to sell loose packs. Not everyone can get a booster box or nothing. But theoretically yeah I guess they could pull the enchanteds out. I don’t think most would though. They typically want you to get a good hit and come back for more!
Supply is definitely catching up. Market prices are approaching msrp or even below, product is out there (or demand is down). It’ll hit soon and be common if your area hasn’t been like mine! But we’ve had plenty to go around. Also, again, I’m not cleaning out to resell. I open this stuff and it goes to stores for singles or players as trades.
Tried the same for a bunch of packs at home and found an outlier at 24.35g and it ended being a non-enchanted 😢. Enchanted is definitely heavier and a heavier pack increases your chances but doesn’t guarantee it.
You would do the same, nothing horrible with what he did. It’s literally first come first serve. He is simply opening as educational content for all of us to see and collect (no scalping).
If I were reselling these at above msrp or whatever I might agree with you. But this isn’t a lot of packs lol. The supply will get better by the next set-it’s already much better this set. Like I said, plenty of restocks so far just a few days after release. No one in our area is really struggling to find stock like they did last time. Hopefully your area catches up if it’s not like that now!
Who cares, if he’s ripping them? It’s not like they’re going straight to eBay, which would be shitty. When the product was still there today, i grabbed 20 of the hundreds of boosters because i literally haven’t seen it in person until yesterday. So much stock. There is clearly plenty and i’m sure the wave will hit by you soon and you can also scoop a ton! Can’t wait to rip the grip of them that I snagged. Plus, this video was helpful 😅😂

But I doubt I’ll weigh any more, this told me all I needed to know and I don’t like ruining the surprise for myself as I open!
@@Pokelou502 Hey man, I thought this will be answer but in that case you wouldn´t go through Common/Uncommon :) everybody knows these and putting it on weight to see weight is 5-10 sec per pack so, 69*8 secs in avg = 560 sec = +/-10 min longer. this was about weight itself and about enchanted weightable or not so all which was needed to see was last card in the pack.
@@Pokelou502I will let you know at the end of FEb with Inklands out if method is reliable... can´t wait :) and sorry if I was harsh
so aka never trust a LGS if they're selling loose packs (read: not blister packed).... that's disappointing tbh...
It’s pretty standard for an LGS to open one booster box to sell loose packs. Not everyone can get a booster box or nothing. But theoretically yeah I guess they could pull the enchanteds out. I don’t think most would though. They typically want you to get a good hit and come back for more!
And that's why you can't find packs in stores because people like this!
👀
Tried the same for a bunch of packs at home and found an outlier at 24.35g and it ended being a non-enchanted 😢.
Enchanted is definitely heavier and a heavier pack increases your chances but doesn’t guarantee it.
Bummer! Yeah, I wish we had a few more of the heavy packs in my set to see how consistent.
Horrible person for buying out multiple stores inventory within minutes of a restock
