The ordinary Nigerian is also culpable in all this. Just imagine full grown men in their 40's/50's protesting the arrest of a politician that has stolen their destiny and that of their kids. Poverty has really turned to a weapon of oppression
EVIL PEOPLE ALSO HAVE ACCOMPLICES WITHIN THE SOCIETY OF THE POOR.
Not when they benefited from his wealth!
Not all brnefitted from the governor. According to Fela," suffering don dabaru the sense of the poor"
It's the result of the weaponization of poverty on the masses. They can't think for themselves .
Those are those idiots they gave appointment during their rain
Do we have a country at all....?
What amazed me is, How the Oppressed are defending their Oppressor.
Question: How have he changed the life of the people of Kogi State as a Governor for 8 years?
BLESS YOU 1000%...TRUE TALK.. """"HOW THE OPPRESSED ARE DEFENDING THEIR OPPRESSORS """ IN ONE 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 EVERYTHING IS BASE FIRST ON WHERE YOU CAME FROM....REMEMBER GOD DID NOT CREATE NIGERIA THE BRITISH DOES, SO IN REALITY, THERE IS NOBODY CALLED ""NIGERIAN"",LET ME ASKED YOU, what is the nigeria language?
I have been trying my hardest but now 😪
Let be talk fact, I think EFcc has some personally interest in dis matter.. Forget it, what happen to CBN gov arrested, why dem no arrest him oga, forget a lot is bad.

I laud you all for this impeccably aired interview with this sane legal expert. i'm ashamed of this country when things like this happen in Nigeria, but i'm happy Channels and people like Mr Falana still exist to educate its citizens of what truth is. I'm so touched and enlightened by this 39min piece
Court countering each other; police preventing each other. This is a case of kingdom rising against kingdom, which cannot stand. May God save Nigeria
Where is Nigeria or the Nigerians that have agreed to live together? Better still, where did Nigerians sit together to discuss as people of one coloration? Nowhere, my friend. This is just a creation of the oppression of the British. We are not one, and that is why problems are arising from every angle. This is time for us to discuss, this is the time for us to discuss whether we want to remain as one people or have the courage to separated.
We are one nigeria.
Nigeria is depicting a huge contradiction
If the former governor is currently receiving home nurse care, then he would have to be transported to nearer hospital for further assistance. I don't see any abnormal confrontation between the service security agencies present at the former governor's home. The only conflict arising from the court order is the penal code of refusing the EFCC from gaining entrance to conduct their court order. The state of Kogi is part of federal capital of Nigeria, thus have a jurisdiction access to conduct covert operations by the federal court of justice. The issue hereby will be met with court setting the charges for refusal of obeying the litigation order. The aforementioned funds belongs to the state, in the first place. So whomever, have proceeded with the fraud claim have to be announced in view of justifying the accused. All involved are prominent lawmakers, so the demands are very high in proportionate to accounting for the misappropriation of state funds. Already the Kogi state high court is in defence of the former governor. This case should stand as an example that no one is above the law in Nigeria. If otherwise, the Kogi state high court had doubts beyond reasonable cause, that honourable YAYA had broken the law, it wouldn't serve an impeachment against the EFCC, but according to the media, this hasn't occurred as precedent to the call for trial.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
SAN Femi Falana is my favorite SAN the man that has true interest of Nigeria at heart May you live long . Think of it are the officers in Yahaya Bello's house working for him or the federal gov. of Nigeria who paid their salary ?
It's just disheartening to watch victims defend their oppressors.
That's the most despicable disgusting aspect of morbid sycophancy entrenched in our body polity by corrupt criminal political elites inducing such aberrant behaviours through the weaponisation of poverty mentality via crumbs of stomach infrastructure gratifications. Really pathetic situation..😢
Very disheartening
So sad😢😢😢😢
So deeply sad and unfortunate.
Sons of perdition
These are among the fears for state policing
I stood against it and that is still valid
Governors or ex Governor are taking Nigerians for granted. N84B is no mean amount to be swallowed by an individual
For harboring Bello, Ododo should not be oblivious of the fact that he could be charged after his tenure when the amnesty that covers him now would be over. Quite unfortunate!
N80B whaaaat?
From what we've seen a sitting governor just did with immunity clause, is there a way the senate can adjust the constitution to do a "temporary suspension" of the immunity of a sitting governor who went as far as aiding, abetting and obstructing the arrest of an alleged criminal? We really need drastic measures to save Nigeria from bleeding to death.
This is what bribery is doing to the judiciary. If not, who is Yahaya Bello to disobey the court order? It is already dangerous in the Nigerian judiciary.
How can the spider web cash a kure?!
Mr Femi Falana you're done very well, thanks for analysis
The Judiciary should not be deceiving the citizens 🙄 with national Judicial shameful drama such as this
It is very easy for efcc to arrest and prosecute BOBRISKY or the Chief high priest but to arrest yakata Bello who looted kogi govt of N84B. Nigeria laws are differently applied one for the poor and one for the rich. May God help Nigeria.

This shows how much respect to the rule of law this administration has. The president is the commander in chief of the armed forces which includes the police. Therefore who gave the police order to disrespect court orders and stop the arrest of an individual.?
Ododo is playing with fire asper future reminder
I still remember what efcc did to Rochas okorocha in imo state, breaking through the roof to arrest him ohh
Did the sitting Imo state governor ever came to Rochas' rescue 🤔
@@d.bcooper2271That's exactly what made the clear difference in this context and particular case.
We are developing. The Country should update the laws from current happenings. If an individual prevents the law enforcement agency from arresting a suspect, with an order from the court, it should be deemed a crime and such person preventing the law enforcement agency should be arrested as a criminal. Nobody is above the state. Currently we have two laws; one for the rich and the other for the poor. Furthermore, this immunity should be abrogated because its giving the governors too much power. This Bello was the one who dug up roads during his problem with Akpoti in an election era, and restored the roads with tax payers money. This country is crazy, very crazy. When shall we be out of this darkness? Very shameful.+
The ones i shake my head for the most are the ones in poverty protesting his arrest 😢
Only in the east the government enforces the law! Then everyone wonders why ipob is seeking session! What is the former governor even doing in Abuja?
The incumbent governor of Kogi State should be investigated by the Kogi State House Assembly for abuse of power and obstruction of justice…..in my opinion this is an impeachable offence…..where is Nigeria heading to?……
It is the police and the judiciary that can ensure there's good governance in any country. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, these two highly respected institutions don't know their onions.
At this points, as a citizen of Nigeria who believes in the laws of Nigeria. I believes the IGP should arrest all the law enforcement agencies that was involved in this unconditional acts of Yahaya Bello. And the NJC should also deals with all those lawyers n judges promoting lawlessness n unconditional acts in Nigeria.
Ododo should be arrested and prosecuted for obstruction of justice. EFCC is not serious except against defenseless Nigerians.
I weep for my country Nigeria chai
I’m very much interested in having those police officers who obstructed the course of justice arrested and prosecuted. If that’s not done, Nigeria will continue to be a joke!
Exactly. You are correct point blank
My dear, so funny the police preventing his arrest. So amazing the governor himself. So another yahaya bello in government. May GOD give kogi state good governor because they have really suffered.
very laughable and mockery of the entire judicial system, this is a case of arrest me if you can.
even Donald trump former president of USA, submitted to trial at court without too much of hoolabaloo, then how come ex governor s and politicians feels that they are above the laws.IF YAHAYA BELLO IS SURE OF HIMSELF, WHY HIDING OR RUNNING?....Obiano ex anambra Governor dey face trial for 4billion ,and bello and ododo thinks 80.2 BILLION NAIRA Na SMALL money ?
Efcc has just demonstrated total weakness in their operation rather the are stronger on the ordinary Nigerians.
They are selective as always. You remember when they broke through Rochas Okorochas house?
We blamed them, now they have decided to be civil,we are complaining.
This is a total show of rascality and disrespect to the rules of law.. nobody is above the law of the land, irrespective of their position and authority.

Until Nigeria removes immunity from all their public leaders, looting and corruption will not stop
Those policemen attached to the house that prevented the arrest have worked against the federal government. As such, they should be withdrawn to proceed for orderly room trial
Nigeria is a Banana Republic.
I can't just understand the level of confusion in my dear country. 😢😢😢
This lawlessness demonstrated yesterday by Yahaya Bello, the present kogi state governor and serving police officers attached to them was an embarrassment to government and our justice system. This art is shamefull and suggestive that the inspector General of police, the justice minister and the internal affairs minister failed in their duties to implement their constitutional duties to ensure an orderly dispensation of valid order. All those responsible for the Obstruction yesterday must be brought to the book to establish that nobody is above the law.
You just described the gravity of the anarchy that has permeated our public institutions relevant to the upholding of the rules of law here in a simple nutshell. Only the AGF has issued a clear statement to absolve its office on this matter in an advisory capacity to the criminal suspect. Others like the IG of Police, judicial service commission etc have remained criminally silent for reasons best known to them bordering on executive compromise and abject sense of irresponsibility sadly enough.
We are going back instead of going forward.
HMMMM..GOD WILL BLESSED YOU SIR...SAN BABA FALANA
ONE FOR THE ..RICH ..ONE FOR THE ..POOR CITIZENS
It is lawlessness to be lawful in a lawless society
Lawless country called Nigeria
At this point, we need to start considering stripping "immunity status" to governors. The governors use it as impunity! All this mess is being implemented with the assistance of the sitting governor.
Are you serious ? 😂strip governors off immunity 😅😅
@@abdullahinurudeen967 Explain your rebuttal of my point. The incumbent governors abuse the immunity status the constitution grants them. They are immune whilst in office from both civil and criminal actions. The present governor of this state is using such a shield to mobilize counter-forces against EFCC to protect his Godfather.😀😀😀😀😀 Sad!
Just imagine what the govs will do with state police
This is mind bugging what public officers do with public funds.
see how the oppressed masses shield their oppressor. Poverty is the weapon.
This highly embarrassing not to Yahaya alone but to the NJC and the Judiciary and to the country Nigeria at large. So many things are wrong in this country and ododo must be held accountable for smuggling Yahaya out so that this ugly trends will not repeat itself again in this country.
Some judges in Nigeria doesn’t understand that they can suit by security body, when security agents feel that any judges bias that they right to file suit against that judge.
Even the current sitting governor, also should answer for obstacles an arrest of Mr. Bello after his immunity
this life ehn, his excellency yesterday, criminal suspect today
So, Nigeria has descended into this?
This is a classic case of a failed state.
Well said Learned sealed
practicing law in a lawless country is like practicing medicine in your kitchen.
IG should just go ahead and dismisse police involved in that case
Thank God don jakpa leave this frustrating place called nigeria...am in pains watching this, cos home is home
I miss Obasanjo. Even the serving IG of Police was arrested. All the policemen who prevented EFCC from arresting Yahaha Bello should be arrested and dealt with.
Nigeria is a crime scene! The judiciary is also accomplice in the decay and corruption in Nigeria. Yaya Bello continues with his impunity even after governance by preventing a federal institution from doing its duties.
If he's nothing to hide and have not actually stolen, why's he running? Ododo is commiting criminal offence by shielding Yaya Bello from being arrest for prosecution.
The uselessnesses of our courts...😮
EFCC Should have arrested the new Kogi state governor for obstructing EFCC from their duty
He has immunity
🇳🇬 govt and the judicial system lack common sense, this is simple. The court should summon him to appear before the honorable judge and if he then fails to appear then they would issue a bench warrant for his arrest. Idc if you are in his situation I bet you feel the same. I hope EFCC will do the same to senate president Godwin Akpabio. Again I always wonder why efcc officials carry long rifles they need to emulate the FBI-style
Immunity in a democracy, where it's applicable, is triggered as a defense only, in the performance of ones lawful functions. The governor here was cleraly obstructing justice which is not his lawful duty
Past gov left inside the current governors car. 007 move.
How stupid do you guys think that we are! People whose money has been stolen by the con Artist, con man and a carrier criminal, a corrupt politician who has been killing his people and who has stolen 84 billion Naira that would have been used for public good are stoutly defending the indefensible. Nigerians, what is wrong with us? Why do we defend those who have been oppressing us! My heart bleeds when I see us defending those who have caused us pains 💔
This is one of the reasons why we are not yet mature on State Police, this is sad and uncalled for, why do Governor of a state should prevent a former Governor from arresting by EFCC, if it's a poor people 'common people ' it's good in this nature but it's bad on the side of rich or powerful people, you can imagine, our police officers that supposed to do their legitimate duty conife to work against what they employed them for, something urgently must be done. This is a big shame to the Governor and Yahya Bello.
Yahaya Bello is not an Igbo man, so the EFCC will not carry out the arrest 🙄. God will surely judge you people for this injustice in Nigerian government.
Did the sitting Imo state governor ever came to Rochas' rescue 🤔
Yahaya should be arrested and prosecuted...sentenced to several years in prison and made to pay restitution.
What can never happen in any nation in Africa is happening in Nigeria very very bad how leader's in Nigeria are insulting and homiletin the The country no respect
If your hands are clean why should you run away. Bello is just implicating himself the more
This is a small indication of what will happen in some states when we start state policing. The laws should also be amended to adequately set guard rails to prevent the abuse by some state govs
It's a show of loyalty but he knows his game, he can't keep at it for long. he will let go of his protection scheme
Nobody is above the law, if he is innocent, let him come out and face the efcc to prove himself, efcc is human, they will judge him according to his deeds,
Dino go just dey laugh out loud over thus drama...
Thank God, if Nigeria will soon be better
Another high level impunity was set against criminal justice system in Nigeria
If Yahaya Bello is innocent, he needs not go into hiding.

Was Gov.Ododo in Abuja already or he flew in to Abuja for an August visit to Mr Bello's House?
Let's start from here ...if he flew in then definitely Mr Bello was in the said building.
ICPC and the EFCC institutions ought to collaborate to investigate the former governor Mr. Yahya Bello to harmonise their findings before going to Court. All this ugly incidence wouldn't be seen. When would the Nigeria institutions would work together to solve a common objective? EFCC and ICPC needs to compare their records on their target audience.

This act from Yayala Bello shows how our politicians see nigeria judiciary .The law court need to situp and be seen as credible in passing judgement.

With all due respect sir! The group of officers that were found in the obstruction of justice in the course of arresting the Ex-governor Yahyah Bello shouldn't pass through any harsh legal punishment bcos; I am pretty much sure that, they're subjected to the order of their Boss who happened to be the sitting governor and I don't think
Anyone would like to disobey his/her boss instruction as implied.
PRIVILEGED OPPRESSED DEFENDING THEIR OPPRESSOR AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHER OPPRESSED CITIZENS... SENSELESSNESS
All I see is another case of Government institutions working in Silos. The EFCC Chairman should simply have informed the IGP and the DG DSS before hand that his men were going to arrest the former Governor. The IGP and DG would have ordered their men protecting Yahaya Bello to stand down. The arrest would have been seamless and quick. Before Ododo arrived from Kogi, the matter would have been finished.
And someone would have tipped off the former governor and he would have absconded.
You don't know what you're talking about.
