For a much easier way of getting Gingerbread Joyride, drift hop onto the boost panel with momentum and then hold the brake button, while you hold break the boost won't take effect, allowing you with your momentum to drop right on top of the crate.

@@mad_zyn yes-100% of the boxes to unlock the 'character'. Gingerbread Joyride is the most challenging, you can brake on boost pads.
Do I need to play adventure mode? Or can I just play with some bots?
@@SamirThaer I think you can just do them all in arcade mode without an adventure mode save file, as long as the game is updated-you should be fine to do them offline as well. It might be more fun to do them in online matchmaking though so you can check them off with more variation

Exactly. To call this game a remake would be an insult. This is basically a brand new game that uses the classic tracks and adds huge amount of content
@@SLISKI_JOHNNY Now that the game has golden wumpa boxes I'd say its in the best place it ever was, since the microtransactions no longer feel necessary to get anything. Just wish they had incorporated the bonus tracks into the Adventure mode somehow, really.
The crate in Gingerbread Joyride is a pain in the butt 😨

@@Benjamillion I know, i just hit every box and unlocked the crate today and it drove me (no pun intended) insane (pun also not intended), i even had to change to the speed engine and pray everytime i attempted the jump
I spend a whole night in that one box kn particular, I swear I almost became crazy.
I just completed it and tbh It wasn’t really hard. Took me like 10 tries max.

Never woulda guessed it was gonna be the classic crate it definitely fits the "I'm as important as the Bandicoot so I should be the main character" Crash literally got his name from that crate Benox you guys are legends!

These crates are really well hidden. I had no idea this was even a part of the game!
Most of them you wouldn't find unless you deliberately go the wrong direction or fall off the track, both of which you'd never do in a proper race. This was purely for the people who like to explore or do silly things.
Bought the game 3 weeks ago or so and accidentally came across the crate on the pirate ship.... thought it might be a special power up but did nothing...then this video comes up on my feed....and BOOM ..I now have all crates and unlocked THE Crate.... Thank you.....😁

Placement wise, yeah, it’s pretty evil, I would’ve never found that on my own I don’t think. But it’s easier to execute than it looks, if you fall there and don’t hit the crate it’ll just set you back right in front of the jump.
The drive thru danger is intense also!

Gingerbread joyride tip: put a TNT crate on you, when your bouncing after the explosion you can't hit the speed boost. You just fall off onto the crate.

I hit a green potion right before the speed boost and I was able to not hit the speed boost and fall right on top of the crate

If you hit the breaks just as you go over the turbo in Gingerbread Joyride, you'll hit the Beenox create easily, just aim for the wumpa box and remember to let go of the speeder
Anybody having trouble with the gingerbread joyride. Position yourself dead center of the boost pads, hold down your handbrake and tap the gas to inch yourself onto the boost pad. Keep your brake and and you should fall off onto it
In my opinion, Coco Park and Dingo Canyon were the hardest to find. Gingerbread Joyride was the hardest to get
Agreed 100%. When going through, Coco and Dingo were the only ones I had to leave and come back to later cuz I couldn’t find them quickly. And Gingerbread took me at least 15 min just to hit the crate 😂
Echo the Lombax same here haha. I actually went to the water on coco park right when the race started, jumped in almost every spot and couldn’t see it, so then i searched every square area for like an hour. Then I finally got close enough to the edge to see it. As for Dingo Canyon, I actually got it without even noticing, so i spent an extra 2 hours looking for it when had already gotten it 😂😂. Gingerbread took a good 20 attempts

Those ones on Crash Cove and Nina's Nightmare are the best ones hands down. I didn't even know you could go onto the ship or up there towards the graveyard!
That graveyard area is also a semi-shortcut, you have to jump the fence to use it.
Got them all thanks to this video. Now I can gain CTR glory with an inanimate crate. The Beenox crate in Gingerbread Joyride was a pain in the backside to get though.
When they said hidden they really meant hidden.
Tip: for Gingerbread Joyride, you can use an item to break the box in an easier way. I was thinking about using backwards bombs, but I did it with a missile from the side lol

Gingerbread joyride is the hardest one for me
I did it second try w/ the green beaker. I jumped from the left part aiming at the box and threw it forward
@@Riporsa3011 start at the second to last wumpa fruit before the jump-pad near the box and hit the gas , jump and then hold the brakes. you should slide off and hit the box. it's pretty tough to explain over comment but. i hope it helps

This video really helped me, I've now unlock the secret character.
There’s an easier way to do ginger bread joyride..when you get on the ramp drift and hold down the drift button and handbrake and you’ll slide right over boost pad without getting boost and fall right on the box DO NOT press gas when holding drift and brake over boost pad as you will boost

In my opinion though, it takes a bit of skill to get both king chicken, and the iron checkpoint crate, but playing as them means that you are decently good with maneuvers, I think.

The Gingerbread Joyride one took me quite a while to get... I accidentally turned the wrong way when going off the ramp, turned right at the ramp, left at the white icing on the ramp, then as soon as I was in the air, idiopathic motor effect kicks in, and somehow, it makes me land on the platform again, AND MIRACULOUSLY LAND DOWN THE MIDDLE OFF THE ZIP PANEL, Down Onto The Beenox Box Below!!!
It was a MIRACLE, I tell you!!! God at work!!!

Hi, does anyone have the same issue as me? I got all of the crates but how do i activate the character? I checked 3 times every map, no beenox crates left, but no crate character either. What should i do? I play on switch in europe
I'm having the same issue went back a couple times to the tracks to see if I left any crates, however, I got all of em.. very confused 😕
Leonard Wirth when I got all crates I went to customizations and went to characters and it popped up for me

I had the same problem apparently one of the maps I did didn't save its best to check evrey map to see if you went to fast
Every other CTR challenge: (tests the player's knowledge of the game's mechanics)
Beenox boxes: "You know what'd be funny?" (Places boxes in dead ends, OOB, and death pits)
Are the locations for each beenox crate the same for all versions of the game, including the switch?

I’ve gotten 3 boxes back to back and no new character. Maybe I’ve uno lied them previously already.
Did you make sure the game autosaved before you quit?
Do you know do you have to complete all the races for the Box crate to count what can you just break it and the mission and then go to the next level??
You can exit after the crate in the bottom left corner of your screen goes away after getting that races respective crate

I've done up to electron avenue so far.
The 2 hardest I'd say are slide coliseum and turbo track.
I started with Crash Cove. Spent 30 min and could only get 0.5 sec behind dev time 😅 gonna try some other tracks today and upload whatever I can beat 😂

I unlocked the iron checkpoint crate after 2 and a half hours. Most of the time was playing gingerbread joyride which took nearly an hour. I was ready to give up but didnt
Gingerbread Joyride pro tip: the boost pads don't activate if you're breaking. Use the break to slow down and drop to the crate.
If you happen to stop on the pad, hop, turn 180 then try again.
Is there any place where you can keep track of which you've found so far? Still unsure if I actually got the one in Dingo Canyon

Use brakes over the turbo boost in gingerbread joyride for the crate unless you have all day for replicating that sick jump

You should try and check all the maps to to see if you got them

Is there easier way to get the ones in Gingerbread Joyride & in Drive-Thru Danger, I’m literally struggling with those, & at the point where it feels like torture just trying to get them, and they r literally the last two that I need. Also does anyone know if there is one in Retro Speedway or not? There probably isn’t, but just want to make sure...
Does the game save automatically so i can back out for the crates to count or do i need to finish the race's for it to count
If you look down the bottom left every time he hits a box there’s a save icon so it should be fine to back out
No you don't need to finish the race just to be safe a save icon will pop up when u collect one so just wait for the game to save then exit the race
Pretty sure u can back out as i did a test to check and once i got it i backed out and went back into the race and the crate was no longer there

This took me so long and I wasn’t even the one finding them. Nearly 20 minutes were dedicated to that Christmas box. The reward is cool but they shouldn’t have put a box on every single map. They should’ve just kept it to the CTR and CNK maps.
If anyone is really badly struggling on the gingerbread map place a tnt on the slope and then drive into it and slow down just as you get to the boost and it cancels out the boost bouncing you off the edge 😂

A Iron Checkpoint Crate will get revenge on Crash Bandicoot for all the boxes he broke to get the gems.
For gingerbread joyride just hold brake and tap accelerate.

I think that since retro stadium is just a reskin of turbo track, it probably doesnt have one. But I could be wrong
