Oh, and have you heard of the Flamingo GNSS? Will there be any support in the future? Unfortunately there is no possibility to download the SDK anymore. Maybe you already have experience with that. It provides an accuracy of est. 0.5 meters.

Hi, this is really great! I just have a question...right now you must have all the prefabs in Unity itself. My idea is to have a website where people can upload any 3D object and tag this object with a certain location (e.g. like your web editor plus the option for uploading). Then you should automatically see these objects in the AR app (so the objects will be loaded from a webspace in runtime), so we as the developers don't have to always import the objects into Unity manually and then build a new version of the app for each new 3D object. Is this possible with your plugin?

Thanks! Yes, it is. In fact, if you check "DebugMode" it will draw a line to the object and render the distance in meters from the device to the object on the screen.

The AR camera rendering is all handled by AR Foundation (ARCore, ARKit) or Vuforia. As far as I know none of them support this type of occlusion currently, so I don't think it's possible for now, but maybe in the future when device's regularly ship with lidars and such.
Is it possible to create interactive experiences/games with this or can you only place static 3d objects at the location points? For example I want to create information screens to be available at certain locations on a hiking trail. But I want the user to be able to interact with the screen by pushing buttons for various content like videos, audio etc. and allow the user to submit information like a survey etc.

Hi! It can vary somewhat depending on the GPS signal, and also on the device. In good conditions, around 2 to 5meters. On bad conditions around 10 to 15 meters I would say.
I see black screen after Unity logo. It seems app cannot reach my camera and the phone does not ask a permission to reach the camera. As a result, I am having black screen. I am trying the app with Fake GPS application by the way. Can it be the reason of that issue?

I am having troubles with the stability of my gps signal i think ( on a xiaomi redmi note 9). The prefabs i am using they jump like from 10 to 5 to 14 meters... and so on randomly. How can i fix it? Using Unity 2021

Tried too many times to build but no luck .... I am in Lahore Pakistan. APK builds without any problem. But when I reach the place that I had chose to place an AR object, nothing happens. AR Camera just keep running without any update on screen. I am using Unity 2020.3.22f

Hi! The simplest way to achieve that is to adjust the camera's far clipping plane distance in the inspector (docs.unity3d.com/Manual/class-Camera.html). Other than that, you would need to create a custom script that monitors the distance and hides/shows the object's mesh renderer. The first option is easier and has much better performance.

Hi! I believe the only additional thing you need to do on Unity 2021 is to configure the XR plugin provider in the project settings. As far as bolt is concerned I think it probably works with any Unity component doesn't it? Thanks!

i am very likely about to purchase this asset from the store, but i need to know if it's possible to alter the map loader script to read the data object from a source other than a file. i'm going to build my own backend api that exposes location data for the app to consume and interact with and it seems like i could just customize that c# script. does that sound practical to you? has anyone tried this yet?
Sure, the map loader can be easily modified to to that. In fact the web map loader is just a simple example of what you can do, it is meant to be modified depending on your needs :)
Have you configured the AR Foundation correctly? I also had the same problem before, but after trying to follow the configuration steps in this video: th-cam.com/video/UAoGBdu3t9Q/w-d-xo.html the problem was solved.

Hi, I followed this video, but when I try to test it on phone (android) it only give permission option to gps only. It did not detect any camera. Could out help with this?

It is possible. Our asset does not care where the assets come from. To download 3D models in Unity at runtime you usually use Asset Bundles.

Hi! I believe the only additional thing you need to do on Unity 2021 is to configure the XR plugin provider in the project settings. As far as bolt is concerned I think it probably works with any Unity component doesn't it? Thanks!
can this run on web browser like chrome, mozila, etc without installing an app?
Currently we only support Android or iOS native applications. We depend on Unity/AR Foundation or Vuforia, and they only support those systems. Thanks!

It is not necessary. You only need to enable it if you want the debug information to be shown.

i am very likely about to purchase this asset from the store, but i need to know if it's possible to alter the map loader script to read the data object from a source other than a file. i'm going to build my own backend api that exposes location data for the app to consume and interact with and it seems like i could just customize that c# script. does that sound practical to you? has anyone tried this yet?
Sure, the map loader can be easily modified to to that. In fact the web map loader is just a simple example of what you can do, it is meant to be modified depending on your needs :)

Have you configured the AR Foundation correctly? I also had the same problem before, but after trying to follow the configuration steps in this video: th-cam.com/video/UAoGBdu3t9Q/w-d-xo.html the problem was solved.

The app just opens and stays on a black screen, nothing happens
I had the same thing. I had to press the home button so that the app ran in the background and then open it again. Maybe that works for you too.

Hi, I followed this video, but when I try to test it on phone (android) it only give permission option to gps only. It did not detect any camera. Could out help with this?

Is there any other configuration that I need to do? When I open in my android mobile it's just a blank black scene.
