I'm with you, I don't like night riding if I can help it and I stop every 100 miles. Relaxing is the key and no death grip on the handlebars. You got some nice riding in too!
I just did a 4hrs all highway night trip, non stop (except for gas) on my 22 Rally no problem. The confortable seat on the Rally really helps. I also installed the adventurer windshield and the solo seat back rest for the ride and it was painless all the way. I only use the windshield on long highway rides and take it off as soon as im done as i don't like the look with the windshield on. It's not the comfort of a Spyder for sure but it's definitely doable on the Ryker
Nice, I don't like riding at night I get bored and I'm afraid I fall asleep 🤣😂. I picked up a used comfort seat go figure after the trip 😆. Since I upgraded my helmet I haven't even thought of getting a windshield my new helmet helped alor with drag.
some people like them for road trips, some don't. My spyder will get anywhere from 120-160 on a tank depending on the conditions. I tend to stop every 100 miles anyways for the same reasons you do. I've done a few stints to a 160 miles and i had to take a longer break, so I'm not sure getting the extra miles in really saved me any time.
Makes sense if your resting longer it kind of equals out. I thought of taking my RSS but one of the things that really stood out for me was the seating position didn't see myself enjoying that many miles on it.
I know I don't speak for ony myself on this but I really wish BRP would make the fuel tank on the Ryker bigger. So many Ryker Ryders group up with Spyders who have double the fuel capacity. I mean at least let us get like 200 miles per tank.
My girl was thinking about getting one. But, every 100 miles you to stop for fuel. That not going to work. I wonder if someone figure out how to connect an extra tank.
Glad you made it safe.. You deserve your flowers for that trip. I took my ryker from NJ to Tail of the Dragon and back.. That was tough, but worth it.. 👊🙂
Next up… Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1000. I haven’t done one on a Ryker yet, only on 2 wheels. Might have to recruit a few 3 wheel riders and get it done 🤙🏽 Great video!
Thx bro, it was honestly a great ride had a blast just being in my thoughts. Definitely get some friends together and go for it love to hear about it 💪🤣
Like the info on you long haul travel. I did 708 miles on a hours from Louisville Kentucky to New Orleans Louisiana the weekend before thanksgiving. I agree with you the stops to refuel are pros. Get a chance to stretch your legs and other body parts. Then 360 6 hours miles from New Orleans to Houston Texas. I have a 23 Spyder Rt Limited with an after market Ultimate Seats. I really enjoyed everything about the long range drive. Put it on a trailer to get back Louisville do rainy weather
I believe added seat cushions come in clutch for most people from just the fact that it cuts the lip down for you butt, cuz I agree that the back seat lip is what kills the seats comfort when you're on a long ride.
I love riding at night just as much as in the daytime. It's fewer people to get in your way. The strict gun laws keep me from wanting to ride up north from VA though.
Do you carry a spare tire for trips that long? If not what's the plan for i. Case? So far I've only done long trips in a car, last December i did the bronx to san antonio tx and ever since ive been dreaming about how it would feel to do it again on a canam. Thx
I just made sure I had the special socket and some tire plugs in case. But for the most part, . I figure I could buy tools locally on my travels if something happened. I didn't want to overthink it. I also over packed clothing wise 😂 like if I was leaving the country, I had access to laundry on my travels if I needed fresh cloths.
@@VinCode17 I appreciate you for taking time to reply! Yeah I always overthink too 😂 and pack more unnecessary clothes!! Keep up the good work, your TH-cam channel is a vibe. Stay safe on them roads!! Peace

@@VinCode17 My reason for the windshield on long highway trips is the amount of bugs lol. My windshield was literally covered with dead bugs 😁
@@G.G.001 😂🤣 oh yeah the bugs 😂🤣

I guess for the purpose of not having to refuel so often but I didn't see it as a con it actually worked out for me.
My girl was thinking about getting one. But, every 100 miles you to stop for fuel. That not going to work. I wonder if someone figure out how to connect an extra tank.
100 miles is kinda short but remember riding you have to stop and stretch.
Love this video as I'm about to do my first out of state run on my 2022 Ryker! Lots of good info!
Your going to love it, it's life changing for sure. Where are you headed?
@@VinCode17 lake Havasu and then down to San Diego
@@pbthicc8880 that's awesome, have a blast love to hear about it once you get it done. 💪

That's awesome man, maybe one day I'll get to do the dragon. 💪🔥. I enjoyed every mile of it.

That's a nice trip 💪, I definitely learned a lot about myself on my trip. Enjoy and ride safe.
That's pro info on your extended brake pedal, wouldn't thought of it as a con for long rides but I definitely see it now, ✌️💯🐭

I'm a weirdo... I don't like to listen to anything when I ride. Just the wind and me, my thoughts and Jesus. It's my escape. Cheers!
Trust me you are not alone I think we all are a little weird 😂. That trip was amazing I learned so much more about myself. Take care.
Thinking about Jesus is the way to go ....
Love from Australia. ..
Suggestion for audio. Helmet intercom system with ear plugs. The plugs will enhance bass response and being softer won’t hurt your ears.
Hey Ed, I definitely need to look into that type of setup. Appreciate the suggestion 💪.
Good Video thank you Nice bike

Do you have cruise control or did you use ur throttle assistance
I used the throttle assist no cruise control on the 2019.

What's your camera set up? Nice view and angle.
I'm still using a go pro 8 nothing fancy .

What’s good homie what mode did you drive??
What's up bro, mostly regular once in awhile I would put it on sport for a little bit.
Any tips on using throttle assist? Maybe a quick vid if it's not out there already
How long should you stop at each stop
My first stops were gas & go as the day went on I started adding more time to each stop till I was done for the day.
Three months. ...lol...
Is it normal for the Ryker to clonk? I have a 2022
Yeah it is, once you get use to the throttle you'll hear less. Congrats on the 2022 🔥💪
