Nicole remember that you can put the style settings window view next to a note in a panel by pressing Control/cmd p and Style settings: show style settings view. It works really nice and you don't have to be going back and forward with the settings tab.

What an eye-opener! You've helped me get rid of the feeling of that the theme or visual settings wasn't quite doing it for me. Now when I look at Obsidian I feel relaxed and I can focus on writing better notes while also linking them instead of feeling that something is not quite right; thank you for taking the time and putting this video online 🙏🏼
I wanted a theme that highlights headings, bolds, italics, links, and gives better visual indication of which pane is open (e.g. when you have two notes side by side). Such a theme that meets all these requirements out of the box is hard to come across. Then I remembered seeing this video. Thank you! Style Settings makes it easy to configure. I opted out of custom callouts, checkboxes, etc. for now. And with rainbow folders I no longer need folder icons (a community plugin). I learned later that Things, the theme I used before this one (and apparently the second most popular theme after Minimal), also offers the customizations I wanted in Style Settings, but AnuP just has so much more, and I can go as colorful or mininal as I want. 😆 EDIT: the Royal Velvet theme offers all of the above out of the box, without the need for Style Settings. If you like the color choice (I love it) and don't wanna tweak any settings, I recommend it.
This theme really suits you, Nicole. Minimal suits my permanent grumpy mood and Anu would just bring on a psychotic episode. 😆 Have a lovely weekend. Blessed be.

Hi Nicole- Love your videos on Obsidian, and I got so much from this one too! I'm just having one issue. I can't get the image to show on the card with the minimal cards snippet. If you've already touched on this, could you point me in the right direction? I've looked through your page and didn't see anything. If you haven't, would you consider making a video explaining the process, from how to include the image in the properties, to how to write the dataview prompt?
If you want to still use Minimal theme and add a pop of color, you can use the Minimal Theme Settings plugin. It lets you customize different aspect of the theme, such as colors, light/dark mode, colorful window frame, and so on. As ex., I've set mine to macOS style so it matches the look of the OS.
I love your settings. Is it possible for you to provide a AnuPpuccin export of your settings so we can just import them rather than go through then individually one by one?

I tried a few things and scrolled through some forum problems, but the rainbow folders don't appear, even if I create a new vault and install the anup theme. @@nicolevdh The whole theme looks so cool and the color frame just completely turns the whole look of it. I’ve found it weird in mine though, the color frame completely covers all the folders which make me couldn’t see any of those file names and folder names clearly. Other parts just seem normally white but only the file part turns red completely. Is that a normal thing?
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but it sounds like you're talking about cards for the file browser? In Style Settings > Workspace Layout > Card Layout Settings, there's an option to disable the card format for the file browser if so!
@@nicolevdh I’ve solved it myself😂The method is to open the colorful frame so all of the pane turns red. Then enable the card form of the file explorer, which makes the file panel a card, and have the same border as the rest, the background of the file browser will turn back to white which makes it legible. Fair enough! It definitely is a bit of a black hole. I tend to leave the settings as is for a while, and then I just change them when I'm bored. :) But the writing's definitely the main thing!
Hi Nicole, I like all your videos but run in a problem with my Obsidian. I am using theme Vileplume and today, all colors of my menu tree on the left side vanished. It looks kind of depressive at the moment. I wasn't able to restore the colors. I installed Style Settings but when I click on it it says: No style settings found. What is wrong?
OMG! is amazing from like 20% fun, you made it 99% fun working with obsidian, i only have one problem. when i put and audio in obsidian and i click play.. it plays untill i scroll down a bit and then stops. whould you know how to fix it?
Happy to share the fun! I love playing around with it. Are you just using the default audio player for Obsidian? Maybe you could try something like the Media Extended plugin, which adds a few more quality of life things in terms of playing media in Obsidian.
I didn’t pay this theme much attention because I didn’t want to lose my cards. I just need to research how to compile the code and I can give the theme a try.
My font for the columns and the note are too small and the font does not contrast with the backgroud. I have looked all over Anpuccino but have not been able to find a place to make the changes. Does any one know how or where to do it?

There's some drama going on between the creators of AnuPpuccin and Shiba Inu. AnuPpuccin is accusing Shiba Inu of plagiarism. Uhm, AnuPpuccin took inspiration from Catppuccin too as well as other themes. LOL. I'll probably download Catppuccin with all this drama surrounding the other themes. I still might download those themes but I actually prefer the look of Shiba Inu. And the character of the creator of AnuPpuccin is kinda off-putting. Don't want all those negativity. So support Catppuccin! I think Catppuccin deserves more love.
The theme looks very beautiful and I love how customizable it is. The only issue I have is, that the theme also adjust the exported PDF which I cannot use in that look. Does anyone konw a way to use a default pdf export css?
Hey! The newest version of Obsidian (yet to be released publicly, but it'll probably hit in a few weeks) is going to make the Export to PDF feature use a generic light theme by default, so that will probably make things easier for you. :)

@@nicolevdh I had a dark theme installed and the search only allowed me to toggle search off. I could not find it that way. I was playing around with it and installed a light theme I had and when I searched again it only had option of toggling on or off light themes - I left it on and found anuppuccin,. Definitely an issue with the search function that is not very intuitive or user friendly.

Yep, I use that too! Anup uses a lot of inspiration from Minimal, but adds to the options available, so I'm enjoying exploring Anup for a while.

Any one else having trouble with the Rainbow folders not working?

The Rainbow Style 'full' doesn't work. I tried to download the snippet in Custom rainbow folder colors snippet but it didn't fix the issue. Any idea?

Great, this helped me to get the CSS snippet to work, I just downloaded it, but I guess some formatting wasn't right. It worked with copy paste then.
I failed about customizing checkboxes and speech bubbles. When I CTRL+p and write callouts, it doesn't find anything… :(

I found the setting in System/Appearances
Try Shiba-Inu. It's an Anuppucin insipred Theme. But in my opinion it's much better.

Hey! I think this would be in Settings > Typography > Font Weights, and I think the one you're after is the Source Mode Weight. :)

Any way to change the styling on things like data view in line tags? If I try to make a pdf of something with [foo:: bar] it looks pretty bad.
