    Thank you so much for your easy to understand teaching. I am an older person trying to learn to play an old violin given to me. You are now my weekly violin teacher.

    for all the violin teachers in the internet from my opinion you are much easier to learn from!! ✨✨ I can understand it and it's easy...but not the fingiring I need practice 😅

      Wow, thank you! Good luck learning the fingerings. They do take practice, but I know you can do it!😀

    Thank you for this video as always! I don’t know if it’s my violin model or the G string itself but whenever I play on the G string it produces a slightly more scratchy sound compared with other strings, this is especially obvious when I switch strings. Maybe it’s because the G string is the thickest so it takes more pressure.

    • @Violinspiration
      @Violinspiration  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it does take more pressure to play since it is the thicker string. So maybe if you play around with different amounts you will find a way to not play scratchy on that string. Good luck!😀

    I'm having some trouble with the G sharp - seems like I need to press so close to the nut that it cuts into my finger! Is this normal..? Noticed the groove for the G string on the nut is not nearly as deep as the other strings... Sorry, I've got no idea where to ask these sort of questions, so thought I'd try here! Thank you for all the amazingly helpful content you provide in any case :D. Been appreciating it during the last year especially.

      Hi, firstly, I would make sure your violin is in tune. The G# shouldn't be that close to the nut. Secondly, the groove in the nut for the G string may need to be a bit deeper if it not equally deep as the other strings. You may want to consider bringing it to a violin shop that does repairs and shave someone check it out for you. I hope that helps you, Cara. Best of luck getting it all sorted.😀

    I'm stranded with only a 1/4 violin. Are these notes different position on the fingerboard or am I imagining it

    • @Violinspiration
      @Violinspiration  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The notes are in the same order, but the spacing is closer together since the instrument is smaller. This is to accommodate the smaller hands and shorter arms of those using them.

      @@Violinspiration thank you.
      I should have edited this because I sort of found it out but it seems like I can't really get to the high notes because I run out of space. I'm not exactly sure because I had to stop last night but I did use my tuner to see about it. I got confused for a couple of seconds because it was showing me the flats instead of the sharps but I do know that they are the same thing with a different letter name but still it confuse me for a second lol
      so I had to adjust my tuner. Today is a new day and I'm going to see about that quarter violin and I'm going to finish marking it for my nephew
