I'm back on the tools after a short break, and had a MONSTER of a yard to contend with! This had some of the most wild grass YOU WILL EVER SEE! It also had one of the cutest pooches you will ever see. This job was a real challenge, and you'll soon see why ;)

If someone had told me a year ago that I would be relaxing before sleep by watching a man cutting grass on the other side of the planet, I wouldn't have believed them. But now its a nice thought to carry into sleep that there is someone who believes in helping others and is prepared to work blxxdy hard to do so. I so very much admire your work. I am 72 now, and it is a rude shock when you suddenly realize that a seemingly minor injury or illness is just not going to allow you to recover as quickly as you once did. Then, add age and gravity into the mix and jobs that once seemed a fun challenge are now overwhelming. Any major illness or injury, or the slow march of time, brings additional insults to your image of what you can accomplish. Then, those jobs are not even attempted, because you see failure ahead. Blessings called down for you and your lucky family! Something like this gift of a clean and tidy yard can be a monumental boost to a tired and defeated mind. You have put your shoulder under their bum and given them a boost into happiness. May you have many, many years of spreading your kindness.

The weeds are a curly dock. They have a 4-5 meter taproot so chopping them at the surface is about the best you can do. Yard looks great after! 👏👏👏

Am a dog lover and I felt sorry for that dog too. Maybe he can run about, still stay out of their summer sun under the trampoline and enjoy his life in the yard now.

The dog should’ve at least been kept inside for that much noisy work. 100% blaming the dog owner, not the worker here who did his best short of getting the dog looked after away from the yard which isn’t his problem to solve.
Sean - I've written it before - you never disappoint! Yards that others would shun, you take on with enthusiasm and determination to make them right. I love to see the before and after shots, but the whole video is needed to appreciate just how much work went into the transformation. I'm 71 and I cut my one acre rural houseyard using a push motor mower. I walk 8.8 kms to do one cut. Keeps me fit. But Sean is an inspiration. Goodonyou cobber!!

A wonderful Christmas gift Sean! Those leg protectors you wear are reminiscent of the wraps used on horses legs to protect them during transit. But modified for yard and similar work. Smart way to protect your legs from flying debris.

Honestly, this one would need a lot of ongoing maintenance if it will come close to becoming a nice green lawn.

Because kids spend a lot of time outside here. Most parts of Australia have a relatively mild climate. My grandkids had trampolines but then they grow out of using them, move on to other things. I'm in Queensland.

Another fantastic transformation, Sean! Love your captions! I searched for those weeds & they're possibly "Red Sorrell"??? The lawn guys in the US have problems with hard stalk weeds too. Some are milk weed, some thistle & some that look like yours. There are all kinds & they just pop back up when you mow over them!

So you said "there's a path to the clothesline..." And I thought "of course there is!!! It's Australia!!!" 🤣🤣🤣 I've learned a good bit about your gorgeous country from watching your videos. Clotheslines, concrete tracks for driveways, nice metal panel fencing, water pipes sticking up in the front yard, the different birds, nature strips (we call it the swale) and "the council". It's very interesting to learn how countries differ! Thank you for the fun this year and I hope to see more in 2023!!

That backyard is every backyard my grandmother had in pensioner housing in sydney. XD You couldn't always see it anymore, but you knew there was a cement path to the clothesline.
