I just want to tell you how much I appreciate the work you put in to documenting your patterns! For someone like me, who learns visually, having the photos and videos is awesome. The way you lay out the written instruction is equally wonderful!!

Hello, I really appreciate the pattern, such a beautiful sock! I just have a small suggestion, it seemed like a bit of running around to get the pattern, maybe if you linked the pattern directly to description box of this video it might be easier access for your viewers. Also for those learners who need/prefer the complete tutorial for the pattern start to finish, it would be nice to have the option to have it. Since you make the entire sock anyway, maybe you could film it. Those who find your pattern on youtube are most likely wanting to complete the pattern without having to download or read, and it seems like a lot of back and forth between the pattern and the video to complete the project. I hope I don't come off offensive. I just know that there are many patterns in different languages like Czech, Russian, Spanish, or Turkish...if there is a video, it doesn't matter what language, you can just watch. It means that MANY more people can benefit from your lovely patterns, there is an easy/straightforward way for each crocheter to complete the project in the way they best learn...written, video or both! Thank you again. Just a humble crocheter here. ❤️

idk if i've ever commented on this but this is the only pattern i use for my crochet socks, as someone who's language isn't english i have a difficult time reading patterns in english, and patterns in general, i'm more of a visual learner. so this has been perfect for me. now i always adjust to what yarn i am using so i don't use the measurements and stuff in the original pattern, but the design, yes.
    love it sm!
    thank you!

Turned out ok, but not perfect.
Thank you for this great pattern!!

I am making the sock. Its a beautiful design and I really appreciate the time thats gone into it, especially for free.
If I can just suggest, some instructions are a bit confusing because its all on one line, for example the heel - Ch 1, sc, FPdc2tog, FPdc around next: X stitches. The last instruction " FPdc around the next X stiches" would be better on a separate line so it is easier to read and follow.

I liked using this pattern but when it got to the heel, I had a hard time since I crochet left handed and therefore couldn't work in a round clockwise. It sucks being a left-handed crochet-er in a right handed world haha. Loved the pattern though!

  • @JulieN229

I followed the patterns and they turned out great! A problem I had though was that I am a size 6 in shoes, so I would have had to make a size XS or Small sock but it was too tight for me so I had to make a medium size sock. I used the recommended yarn size and hook size so I don’t know why it turned out so small but I had to size up. Otherwise, I really enjoyed making it!

Hey there! Love the patterns=, I have a question though. How would I adjust this pattern if the smallest hook I have is a 4.25mm hook, and the yarn I have is a 4 weight yarn? The yarn I have is a super soft sweater material, polyester and seems super great for socks. Im just not sure how I would adjust for it ?? I appreciate any help on the matter!

I love these socks, and the pattern is easy enough for me to follow as someone who has never read a pattern before. I have one concern about the size of the sock. Mine seems to be very large, way bigger than I expected. Im following the directions for the XS. I couldn't find a place to comment or message you to ask this question.

Im trying to make the adult medium and it looks way...way too big. Im not understanding how this is going to look how it does on her. Im measuring it to my foot and its not looking like its becoming a tube, its one big disk. And if I fold it to fit on my foot, it folds all over the place. Ive been watching the video alongside the written pattern and its just not coming along.

Hi @@meghanbrooks6967, were you able to finish knitting the sock? I'm making the adult small size, it also looks kind of big. But, most importantly I'm having a hard time understanding the instructions from round 12. It says to repeat round 10 & 11 until round 29 for the adult small size (31 for the adult medium size), did you do round 10 and 11 all the way until round 31? Because the next round is called "Round 14/16/18/20/22/24/26/28/30/32/34" and not sure if that's what I'm supposed to knit right after row 29 (adult small) and in your case (row 31- adult medium size) you're supposed to jump to "Round 15/17/19/21/23/25/27/29/31/33/35" ?

Help please! I bought the pdf and trying to knit the small size for adults, but I'm having a hard time understanding the instructions once I reach round 12. Round 12 is called "Round 12 to Round 13/15/17/19/21/23/25/27/29/31/33" and it says "Repeat Rounds 10 & 11 until Round 29 - Adult Small", so I did until 'Round 29'. But, then the next round is called 'Round 14/16/18/20/22/24/26/28/30/32/34" and the round after that "Round 15/17/19/21/23/25/27/29/31/33/35". So should I do round 10 and 11 once more as round 12-13 and then follow the instructions on " 'Round 14/16/18/20/22/24/26/28/30/32/34" for round 14 only and then follow the instructions on ""Round 15/17/19/21/23/25/27/29/31/33/35" for round 15 and so on? Also, this video shows that on round 14 we’re supposed to make a long chain so we create a hole for the heel. But, there is nothing like that specified on the pdf. Am I missing something? Hope you can help me!

I love this pattern but the stitch counts are wrong for baby size. Starting on round 10 (baby) the instructions say to *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next 2 sts*, repeat 5 times (which =15 sts),
    The next step says to
fpdc next st, hdc next, fpdc in next (which =3 sts ) repeat for next 10 sts - so repeat that set of directions 3 times (which =9 sts) then you’d have to do 1 extra fpdc to =10, but then it says the st count should be 27, but it’s really only 25. What am I not understanding? Being that this pattern is a few years old, I’d expect the written pattern to have been corrected by now, which means I’m not getting something correct. Please help me.

I'm so excited to make this pattern, but I'm having trouble understanding how you're getting the gauge.
    The pattern states "11 stitches = 2 inches. 10 rounds = 2 inches."
Is the stitch referenced a double crochet? And which one is the actual gauge?

    • @hermesgeko
      @hermesgeko 2 ปีที่แล้ว

11 stitches is 2 inches long and 10 rounds 2 inches tall. It to check your gauge both ways.
