Story idea: It all happened in a single after noon. A young girl by the name of naia, who was not quite a child but not yet a teen, ran up to her mother who was sewing at the time and giddily asked im her sweet playful voice "mom! Can i go down to the beach to look for seashells?" Her mother being the gentle soul she was gave her permission to go. The young girl scampered off through the small town, and down a pathway in between two cliffs, and there she was at the beach. A place that held so many happy memories for naia. Naia took off her sandals as she jumped up and down in the water, the wet sand sticking to the soles of her feet as the bottom of her dress became soaked. Looking down the beach naia saw something that her gasp, a complete queen conch shell. She had seen many of these befire but they were always in pieces. She ran to it excitedly and picked it up. Immedietaly she wished to show her mother the shell. She was about to run back to show it off when she discovered she had stepped on an old abandoned fisherman's net and that her foot was tangled in it. She was taking her time to undo it when she looked at the ocean in terror. A gigantic wave that threatened to swallow her whole was approaching. Her efforts in getting free doubled, no, quadrapled at the terrifying discovery. For every not she got done ten more appeared. Finally she had ran out of time. The wall of water hit her like a ton of bricks, swallowing her whole, it stole her breath away. The very same thing that naia had spent her life trying to escape to was now the thing she was trying to escape from. She struggled against the strength of the ocean which knew spared her no mercy. She could feel her last bits of strength leaving her body as she closed her eyes accepting her fate. Then her heart stopped beating and she became one with the sea. Later that day the screams of a distraught mother echoed across the now seemingly calm waves.
This doll is so haunting. She actually draws you in. In the group photo of all the dolls, she caught my attention more than the others. Beautiful work.
The idea of mermaids being drowed humans at sea just messed with me... It touched me. How were their lives? Did they cry? Laugh? Fell in love? I cant stop thinking about it, i must write something. My heart pounds, it just destroyed me inside.
She looks so sorrowful and like a child. You made me have an emotional response to her. Honestly it's amazing how realistic you made her. :( poor drowned girl
I literally said "nooo" when you started destroying the dress, it looked so pretty... She's gorgeous, her eyes are so pretty and the end result is honestly breathtaking.
I do too, but I felt like I was running out of time and I really didn’t want to be late uploading for once 😅 I might still go back and do it, at least to her hands which wouldn’t be too inaccessible~

I have been doing some dolls since I first commented and I like the diverse colour range MH gives you to work with...you don't use all the usual 'flesh tones' up at once if you use different dolls to paint...it's great! I still think you do beautiful faces! Btw I now have around six whole MH dolls and quite a few Obitsu and Kuhrn dolls as well as four BJD'S and some on the way lol!...hobby is soooo addictive!

I already have all the equipment so putty rubber isn't new to me... you can use blue-tak for this if you don't have any putty rubber lying around lol! You really have got the drowned look that this doll needs...it's really spooky looking!.... She looks so melancholy and I think you captured this idea really well! I take it you are in the UK because the PVA isn't called Mod Podge or whatever lol... I need to start doing this...it's lovely... I want to make some child friendly ones for my neices to start out with. Then I can justify making these custom dolls for the sake of... I have everything I need except the dolls and I have been looking on eBay already!! I only discovered this about four days ago with Dollightful's video!
