Hi guys, love your videos, the best cricket coaching by far on TH-cam! I always struggle with this shot, so this will help. Can I ask in regards to the bat swing? Is it meant to come as straight as possible, then a slight flick with the bottom hand last second? Or does the bat swing come from more an angle, unlike a drive which is always completely straight with the line of the ball? Thanks guys, keep up the great work!
Hey there, thank you for the kind words👌 The bat comes from the same starting position as a drive, but at an angle towards mid wicket. This is done more easily because of the gap generated by the small step made with the front foot... I hope this make sense, feel free to ask any further questions 💪

Love the video guys. Any tips (or perhaps a video) about playing the ball when it's angling down legside, *outside* the line of leg stump. Is it just a matter of opening up that front leg a bit more?
Hey there Bradley, yes its just opening that front foot and pushing your head over the contact point. Just be careful to not open the front foot too much (most is directly down the pitch)

I am an offside-dominant batsman and always struggle with the late out swinging balls, I get LBW too often with my bat coming down late. Is the main problem my head position or the stride? I badly want to fix this issue and start scoring runs on the legside
Nice video and appreciate your work .make a video on shot selection because at ground we confused to select a proper shot for proper bowl and take risk to play any shot like full length bowl plays back foot drive results wicket. So,please work on it.

Ok, firstly if your head drops towards the off side, you will hit the ball in the air. Make sure to do all 6 drills in this video, focussing on the head drills as this should rectify if. The drills in this video should fix both of your problems💪👌

Your step is too big and your head is falling to the off side. So try do a smaller step and push your head forwards towards the ball🏏
