Kimberlee Foster Well since I used to have really long hair I can tell yeah it's not handy but if you use like those thick but really small elastics which you would use to close your braid with it'll work just fine. Doing any kind of special looking hairstyle with really long hair just requires a bit more patience anyway that's just the deal about having nice long hair... As for this hairstyle I'd say you can leave the rest of the hair outside or do some nice twists and pin them up on the side and maybe add a flower and it would look super pretty

Girl my hair is down to my butt, thick and heavy too. I tried it, umm it looked bigger than this and I had to use quiet a few bobby pins but it did work. If you don't use enough pins the loops flap around if you know what I mean. It doesn't look as good on my hair because it seemed to be weighted down and not as fluffy 😔.
+Sarah Loves as I watched this I was thinking that i'd do a little bit of teasing in the pony tail just under the elastic and depending how big your loops were you'd probably need about 1/2 way down your pony to stiffen it and give it something to lock just make sure to tease the top of the pony and smooth the bottom. My hair is thick and a lot of it 4 inches from my tail bone when in a braid, i'm going to test this and maybe wear it to an xmas party, if the test works :)
I love this hairstyle but my hair is so long I don't know what to do with the end. It is literally waste length. How can I modify this? The is no way I can just tuck the end in. My hair is waist length.

My hair is also below my rear & thick. when I got to my neck area I used the 3d faux french braid pull thru's. It also looks cute in a double Mohawk where you pull both buns toward the center to look just like 1 Mohawk. It makes the loops really big & fun to play with.

Most people do the "topsy-tail" the other way around, right?! I think that if you do that, you won't need the bobby pins to secure every loop...
You would have to deal with pulling the loop from it's position and you would still have to pin it. It's the same thing just more difficult
