I am completely convinced that Liara is a canon romance in the series. She is the one who saved Sheps body, the only one who saved some of Sheps possessions, and the only one that is immediately loyal in the me2. As soon as you see her for the first time in me2, you two can share a kiss. Liara is the one for Shepard.
this dlc showed me that liara and Shepard had more chemistry together then any other romance in the series.

I personally like any relationship with Liara, romantic or platonic.
I didn't romance her as my femshep, but they still continued to bond. If you let that relationship grow with her, she becomes your best friend and sort of a protective mother xD it's very sweet.
She’s the one that always wanted you but accepted that you didn’t want her like that back so instead of being bitter she just loved you in the best way she could while accepting your happiness with others. She’s a real one.

***** I agree with you there. Jack is a pretty complex character as far as her hard trust no one exterior. But you find out a lot about her, interesting back story, her strange way of showing affections towards others, and she's actually very kind. Not to mention Tali and how she has developed since MA1. From being a quiet soldier that doesn't have much of an opinion on most things, to one of the best companions Shepherd had and staying by his side through all 3 games. I have trouble picking from Tali, Liara, or Jack they were all written so well as possible romances.
So torn between Tali and Liara. I've always had a thing for Tali since ME1 but I didn't know she would become a romance option in ME2 so I got with Liara. Eventually picked Tali but Shepard and Liara have been through so much together. I mean it's because of her Shepard was resurrected in the first place. :/

I know it’s a comment from 11 years ago, but I had missed a paragon check from 6:11. You can imagine my breakdown, I repeated the bossfight just and clicked my mouse into oblivion, thankfully it worked xD
the face she makes at 11:03 is the most realistic expression ever. Someone in real life could not make a more emotional expression :o the whole character development really gets you attached to all these characters.
All this really beautiful work for the Liara romance in LotSB, and then ME3 makes you restart the romance (twice). It's kind of frustrating. Like, if this couple could get over Shepard being dead for 2 years and Liara turning his body over to a terrorist organization because she can't let go, surely they can get past 6 months of house arrest...

I've always wondered while playing Mass Effect 2 who the hell in BioWare decided to give Liara T'Soni the galaxy's most uncomfortable chair having to see her sit on it for only a few seconds before getting back up again.
The scene is apart of the DLC, so yes you need it. And of course you have to stay loyal. Duh. ;)

Ok. It's officially glitched in ME2 on the Legendary Edition. She came to the Normandy for drinks but for some reason it didn't count for the achievement, and importing my character into ME3 it says i romanced no one.
She doesn’t count as an offical romance. It’s just a sort of Easter egg for people who romanced her and 1 and who haven’t romanced anyone yet.

Huh, never had Liara evacuate the Normandy. Interesting. Also it's very weird seing how in the romance variant it seems like Shepard is the one putting pressure on Liara, whereas in the friendship variant it's Liara who longs for contact.

That picture appears if you romanced her in ME1 and stayed loayal to her in ME2, that means you didn't cheat on her with Miranda, Jack or Tali.

I romanced Liara in ME1 and heading into ME2...Ok so i screwed up and got with jack at the beginning.. before i knew of the shadow broker DLC. She threw it in my face about Jack but she got over it LOL. I still got her picture in my cabin after the goods.

No, you must romance new characters in mass effect 2 (except tali and garrus.)
Since the asari can mate with either gender of any species I prefer "Once you go blue you never know with who".

I was pretty set on staying with Tali but when I ended up beating the shadow broker and you go through those moments with Liara, I just got sucked back into being with her. You cant go through all those moments with her and then so no afterwards. To be honest I see Liara as the character that always cared about Shepard the most. I mean christ she had all my stuff in her apartment when I died AND my dogtags. She's the reason why you got brought back actually.
